Tuesday night, Funko made a megaton announcement of four new exclusive Marvel POP Vinyls (and one Dorbz exclusive): Unmasked and Unhooded Spider-Gwen POP, POP and Dorbz Deadpool in a suit, and an exclusive 75th Anniversary Captain America. Funko said that Cap should have been up for order Tuesday night, but instead we had to stalk Amazon for a day and half. But the wait is over–the Amazon Exclusive 75th Anniversary Sepia Captain America POP Vinyl is now up for order!

Earlier this year, Amazon launched their first-ever Sepia-tone POP Vinyl exclusive figure with the Sepia Agent Carter. To say that figure was a smash hit is an understatement: the first allotment of Sepia Agent Carter POPs sold out in minutes, and every time Amazon would restock with more available pre-orders during the weeks before Peggy shipped, they would sell out quickly again just like clockwork.

And so, it was a total no-brainer for a companion piece to that popular Peggy Carter to be released–in the form of her favorite guy, Captain America!

I actually wasn’t sold on the Sepia Agent Carter POP Vinyl when I placed my pre-order for it, but once I got it in-hand it became my favorite paint scheme for that mold. For those who own that figure, I feel like this new sepia-colored Captain America figure is a real must-have as a companion piece, personally.

Created in honor of the 75th Anniversary of Captain America, the Amazon Sepia Captain America POP Vinyl shares a mold with the Kohl’s 25th Anniversary Captain America POP, but with an entirely different paint scheme. Whereas the Kohl’s version features a dark blue costume for Cap and a translucent shield, Amazon’s sepia-toned version has an old-school lighter paint job and a classic-painted Captain America shield.

I don’t pick up every Funko Marvel variant (I’d go insane), but seeing the stark differences between the two Captain America 75th Anniversary POP Vinyls, I’m pretty sure that I’m gonna end up owning both of these (provided that I can find the Kohl’s one, anyway).

The exclusive Sepia 75th Anniversary Captain America POP Vinyl is now up for order, and is scheduled to be shipped and released on the 4th of July 2016. Hey, what date is more appropriate than that for a Captain America LE figure to be released, right?

The first pre-orders for this figure opened at 6AM on 5/19/2016 and sold out within two hours, but more quantities have now been made available. Even so, these will sell out in the pre-order stage, so order soon if you want one (or two–there’s a two-per-person limit on this Cap).
