Although we’re only a few weeks removed from San Diego Comic Con 2017, it’s already time to gear up for the next big convention featuring Marvel Legends news and exclusives! No, it’s not New York Comic-Con 2017 (that’s in two months!), it’s the first-ever HasCon Fanmily (no, that’s not a type-o) event! And to get us psyched up, today Hasbro shared hi-res loose and packaged images of the HasCon Exclusive Marvel Legends X-Force Deadpool figure!
And that time is apparently next month, when the Uncanny X-Force Deadpool figure is available for the first time exclusively at the inaugural HasCon! The figure was announced a couple weeks ago, but we’re getting our first really good hi-res look at the release now. Other than the new paint, new packaging and a handful of new accessories, this Deadpool variant is exactly the same as the one released in 2016.
Personally, I think Hasbro made a genius choice for their very first HasCon Marvel Legends exclusive. Grey Deadpool isn’t a unique character, but it is a popular variant that many, many collectors are going to want–and definitely a worthwhile carrot to get a lot of fans (like me!) to HasCon.
The Deadpool X-Force figure will come loaded with accessories, just like the original Marvel Legends X-Men Deadpool. Of course, that makes sense, because it’s almost the same accessories, just repainted in darker and grittier colors!
If you liked the unmasked Deadpool Wade Wilson head, taco, katanas, knife and bazooka from the last release, you’re in luck–all those accessories are coming back for an encore.
But there’s some new stuff to get excited about too: the dual pistols are replaced with new blasters, there’s an explosion effects piece instead of a boxing glove, and Deadpool seems to have some sort of new blue gun in his holster that’s hard to make out.
6″ Marvel Legends Uncanny X-Force Deadpool will retail for $19.99 at HasCon, and will be available in limited quantities via the Hasbro Toy Shop website after the show. This figure looks terrific, and is sure to be a fast seller both at HasCon and also on HTS afterwards.
I’ll post links to the figure once it goes live for order online (provided it’s available long enough for me to even see it), so stay tuned to our Marvel Toy News social media pages on Facebook and Twitter if you want to hear this figure is for sale just as soon as I do.
Now that you’ve seen the hi-res photos of the packaging, figure and accessories, what’s your verdict on the Marvel Legends Uncanny X-Force Deadpool exclusive, Marvel collectors? Will you be trying to snag one of these at HasCon or on HTS after the show? And for that matter, is anyone besides me planning on attending HasCon?
Seems like this guy would practically be a license to print money, if he were made easily available, like as a Walgreens exclusive.
But I’m sure the powers-that-be at Hasbro know what they’re doing, right ?
That’s the thing I’ve never understood about exclusives at all. They’re basically sacrificing sales in order to provide items to con-goers that will be sold at insane prices. It’s just sort of stupid.
Then again, when they did a HeroClix Shuma Gorath and sold them in limited bunches on eBay, I bought 6 for $300 and made back right at $1300, so sometimes gaming the system is fun and profitable. lol
This is not just a repaint, it may be the same buck but it is missing the shin guards, the leg holster is diff and he is also missing the forearm guards. It’s more comic then the deadpool from 16. So saying its a repaint is a stretch.
And the belt is diff.
Why don’t more figures get a shit-ton of accessories like Deadpool?
No BAF piece.
Can’t they make realistic looking guns? Also, does this have an exact online date?
It will once hascon has ended.
Of course they can make realistic guns.
The original version of this figure comes with like FOUR realistic guns.
I hate these damn exclusives. It’s just scalper fodder. Expect to pay at least 2X MSRP.
I disagree when it comes to convention exclusives. These cons cost people tons of money just to get in. They have been pretty good about limiting one per customer online to. If you are going to cons just to scalp figs your basically going to break even, maybe make a few dollars but not much.
Exclusives are idiotic. That’s absolutely true.
Ice never missed an exclusive on hts, as long as you are able to get an order in within the first 10 mins your good to go. Marcel exclusives never sell as fast as Star Wars and I always snag those as well. This guy will be easy to get if you can make the 10 min window and to be honest, you probably have longer than that
Unless there’s a technical glitch and they sell all the Thor exclusives on August 1s!
Also, the logo is done Hasbro…how about a Psylocke that doesn’t cost $150…and a Fantomex without the giraffe neck.
I wouldn’t be worried about that if I were you. I talked to an associate of mine that works for the online part of hasbro and apparently those who got orders in, half of them are getting cancelled atend tge system is still going to show they purchased the item therefore blocking them from buying one at all die to the 1 per household limit. Kind of funny if you ask me, who the hell is wachong hasbro at that hour anyway when hasbro put a date on it in the first place. I know I’m laughing. And don’t ask me why they are doing half like that and not just all, I guess they are turning it into more of a lottery.
Thanks man, looks like you were right. Actually surprised at how long the SDCC exclusives were up. hasbro may not know the best way to get these to the people that support this whole damn line but at least there seemed to be enough of them this year.
Wait, so you actually have to pay money to go to HasCon? Isn’t it just a giant sale pitch?
It’s a new convention full of panels, guests and information. I think it’ll be a very interesting first event for Hasbro.
A Force SDCC exclusive is available again on toysrus.
