Hot Toys was cruising along at breakneck speed with announcements about the Iron Man 3 Hot Toys figures line–right up until the movie came out two months ago. Ever since, things have been eerily quiet in Iron Man 3 world (at least as far as Hot Toys is concerned). But fear not–the silence is at it’s end! Hot Toys has revealed a teaser photo for an Iron Man 3 Movie Masterpiece Series figure to debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 this week: it’s the Hot Toys Iron Man Heartbreaker Armor Mark 17 sixth scale figure!

UPDATE: The Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 17 Heartbreaker Armor Movie Masterpiece Series figure is now available for pre-order from Sideshow Collectibles. It’s priced at just $249.99 and there’s no non-refundable deposit on this figure, so if you think you may want the Heartbreaker Iron Man, you might as well pre-order one now with no risk before it sells out!

The Iron Man Mark 17 “Heartbreaker” Heavy Artillery suit is the fan-favorite Iron Man armor of the “Iron Man 3” movie, second only in popularity to the Iron Patriot armor. Fans have been clamoring for a Hot Toys Heartbreaker figure since the armor was first revealed, and have continued to support the armor even after seeing the uh… limited… screen time that the Heartbreaker armor gets in the actual “Iron Man 3” movie.

The Heartbreaker Mark 17 armor was officially announced by Hot Toys for inclusion in the Iron Man 3 Diecast Movie Masterpiece Series back in April, but there hadn’t been any update or mention of the armor officially from Hot Toys again until they released this teaser image.

One thing I do want to stress is that the Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man Mark 17 is only being debuted at this year’s Toy Fairs–it is not going to be a Toy Fairs exclusive to San Diego Comic Con 2013 or any other convention. The “Toy Fairs” text that’s been attached to the teaser image has confused some people, and I’ve seen it incorrectly reported that the Iron Man Heartbreaker Hot Toys figure is an exclusive as a result. Have no fear–Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man should be a mass release; the only Marvel Hot Toys Toy Fairs exclusive this year is the Star-Spangled Man Captain America figure.
