Marvel Legends Iron Spider Helmet Wearable Life-Size Replica Up for Order!

2021 has been a weird year for the Marvel Legends Prop Replicas (or life-size “premium role-play items”, as Hasbro calls them officially) lineup. We got the excellent Marvel Legends Eye of Agamotto, but also the wildly-colored and totally bizarre bright cyan Captain America Stealth Shield. I wasn’t sure if we’d see any more entries this year, but looks like Hasbro had one more in the works, and it’s a good one: the Avengers Endgame Marvel Legends Iron Spider helmet is now up for order! Most of these ML life-size helmets have been pure win, and this looks like no exception…

Ever since I got to hold the Captain America shield and try on the Life-Size Iron Man helmet when they debuted at New York Toy Fair 2016, I’ve been pretty enchanted with the Hasbro Marvel Legends Life-Size Replica series—and when they added the Star-Lord helmet in 2017, I was hooked for life.

So even though I haven’t been buying up every single new item released in the line (sorry Punisher War Machine helmet and wacky teal Captain America shield), I’m always looking forward to seeing the next addition. And the newest one is the first Spider-Man prop in the line: the Iron Spider Helmet from Avengers Endgame!

While I think there is no doubt a time and place and market for absolutely exact 1:1 prop replicas that cost $600-$1000+, that’s something that just is not feasible for many of us collectors. So I am extra glad that Hasbro is filling the void with life-size items that are affordable and nice, even if not ultra-deluxe exact recreations.

While a Spider-Man mask would have been a neat thing to have in this line, it being a fabric soft goods item would make it wholly different from everything else released thus far by Hasbro (and a little outside their wheelhouse). But an Iron Spider-Man helmet? Yeah—that’s more their style.

Hasbro Iron Spider-Man Spider Helmet with Blue LED Eyes Lit Up

While it’s not actually made out of metal (or nano-technology), I think Hasbro has done a very nice job here recreating the aesthetic of the Iron Spider helmet from Infinity War and Endgame. The glossy finish on the exterior looks gorgeous, and the way that the helmet adjusts to seamlessly allow it to be put on heads of various sizes is really quite genius.

Interior of Iron Spider Helmet Marvel Legends Prop Replica

The interior of the helmet has a nifty circuitry design sculpted into it to complete the illusion of this being a high-tech piece of Stark technology. I’m not sure that Hasbro needed to go to this extra effort, but it’s fun that they did. I’ve got no complaints, even if I’m never going to be showing off the interior of a toy helmet to anybody myself.

Marvel Legends Iron Spider Man Helmet Instant Kill Mode Red Eyes

The big selling point for me on this Iron Spider helmet is the LED light-up eyes, though. I was all set to complain when Hasbro lit up the blue eyes during the livestream, but then—BAM!! They switched to the red Instant Kill Mode eyes. I loved the joke with Instant Kill Mode in Spider-Man Homecoming, and then actually seeing it used in Endgame was a mindblower. Life-size helmet with Instant Kill Mode red eyes? Take my money, Hasbro.

Hasbro Avengers Endgame Iron Spider Prop Replica Wearable Life Size Helmet Box Back

The Life-Size Iron Spider Wearable Helmet Marvel Legends role-play item is now up for order and supposedly arriving as early as October 2021! The packaging seems to be final, so it looks like Hasbro has had this ready to go for a while now and was keeping it under the radar. This will be a cool item for Marvel Studios collectors to put on their Christmas lists for sure!

Thoughts on this new addition to the pantheon of Marvel Legends Life-Size Prop Replicas, Marvel collectors? Did Hasbro nail this iconic helmet at an excellent price-point, or do you think there’s somewhere that this Iron Spidey headwear misses the mark?
