Sad but true: There are not a ton of great Marvel exclusives for New York Comic Con 2013. There’s that awesome Funko Stan Lee POP! Vinyls figure announced a few weeks back, but that’s really it for Marvel toys collectors. LEGO is not attending NYCC 2013, and Diamond Select Toys has confirmed they won’t be bringing any Marvel Minimates NYCC 2013 exclusives. So Marvel collectors will definitely have some extra cash to burn at New York Comic Con next month–and eFX is setting their sights on it with this newly announced Marvel Agents of SHIELD Agent Badge & ID Card customized exclusive…
In honor of the “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” TV Series premiering this month, eFX has been working on a Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Phil Coulson S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Badge and ID Card prop replica, and they’re bringing a highly-limited, exclusive edition of the SHIELD Agent props with them to the 2013 NYCC. Marvel fans will be able to get a SHIELD Agent card created for them by eFX Collectibles with their own photo, name, and birth date on it!
eFX has created this metal SHIELD badge from a casting of the original master mold for the prop used in the taping of the TV Show, and the SHIELD ID Card has been created using the digital files used to create Agent Coulson’s ID Card on the TV Show. The badge and ID Card come with a real leather wallet with the S.H.I.E.L.D. emblem embossed onto the front of it.
The personalized exclusive edition of the SHIELD ID Card and Badge can be pre-ordered online from the eFX website starting September 17, 2013, but must be picked up at the eFX booth (#1869) at New York Comic Con 2013 (so if you’re not attending the convention, don’t order!). If the Agents of SHIELD Badge replica doesn’t pre-sell out, they should be available for customization on-site at the event.
eFX Collectibles has not yet confirmed that a non-customized Agent Phil Coulson S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Badge and ID Card will be released, but as eFX is a prop replica company, presumably we’ll see an announcement of this at some point soon.
This sort of customized item is a really cool idea, but definitely not my thing. Even though I’ll be at New York Comic Con 2013 next month, I’m not planning on picking this exclusive up. What do you think of this personalized eFX Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Badge and ID Card set, Marvel collectors? Are any of you going to order your own one-of-a-kind Agent of SHIELD Badge and ID Card?
