X-Men Marvel Legends 2014 Figures Series Revealed w/ Jubilee?!

Well, this is certainly a first. For what has got to be one of the oddest reveals in Hasbro Marvel Legends action figures history, we’ve learned of a new Marvel Legends 2014 assortment of figures… from a Japanese magazine. No, really. A hi-res photo has surfaced on the internet that gives us the goods on five all-new, never-before-seen X-Men Marvel Legends 2014 figures (including Stryfe!), as well as what appears to be confirmation that this set will come along with… the long-lost Marvel Legends Jubilee Build-A-Figure!

X-Men Marvel Legends 2014 Figures Jubilee Build-A-Figure Series

Hasbro teased at the New York Toy Fair 2014 in February that they still had several series of 2014 Marvel Legends figures left to announce. I had a hunch that one of these series would be an indirect tie-in to the Fox X-Men Days of Future Past movie, and as it turns out, I was right. But while I thought the set might include a comic version of Professor Xavier (seeing as he’s a major part of the new movie), I was totally off the mark in that regard.

The figures included in this 6″ X-Men Marvel Legends Infinite Series Wave appear to be:

  • Marvel Legends Marvel NOW! Cyclops (from Brian Michael Bendis’ Uncanny X-Men)
  • Marvel Legends Marvel NOW! Storm (from Wolverine and the X-Men)
  • Marvel Legends Stryfe (Classic)
  • Marvel Legends Magneto (Classic)
  • Marvel Legends Wolverine Unmasked (Astonishing X-Men Costume)
  • Marvel Legends Jubilee (Build-A-Figure)

Marvel Legends Stryfe Figure Teaser Photo NYCC 2012

If you have a long memory, you may actually remember that the Stryfe Marvel Legends figure was actually first teased way back at New York Comic Con 2011, where a computer-rendered “in-progress” sculpt was shown at the Hasbro Marvel panel (back when Hasbro still cared about NYCC attendees).

This is definitely the finalized version of the sculpt we saw years ago–Stryfe still has the same distinctive sneer as he did three years ago!

2014 Marvel Legends X-Men Storm Magneto Action FiguresAs a modern X-Men comics fan I am completely overjoyed to see Marvel NOW Cyclops and Storm Marvel Legends figures coming in 2014. I sort of wish that we were getting the awesome white and silver Marvel NOW! Magneto costume in this wave instead of the traditional red Marvel Legends Magneto figure that we’re getting, but I suppose it has been close to eternity since a classic Magneto Marvel Legends figure was released.

Marvel Legends Infinite Series 2014 X-Men Stryfe Cyclops Unmasked Wolverine Hasbro FiguresYou would assume that this wave would have a sixth figure included (as all the other Marvel Legends 2014 waves thus far have), but there’s no word on who that figure might be. It’s possible it could even be a complete Jubilee figure…? I guess we’ll see! Hasbro will certainly want to officially unveil this set themselves soon now that the cat’s out of the bag.

Marvel Legends Jubilee Build-A-Figure from SDCC 2013I’ll post an update when more specific details and information about the 2014 Marvel Legends X-Men Infinite Series of figures is available, and you can ‘Like’ Marvel Toy News on Facebook to have more news and photos beamed right to your Facebook Newsfeed!

Based on our first glimpse at the Marvel Legends 6″ X-Men series of figures, what do you think, Marvel fans? Do these get your Marvel Legends collecting juices flowing, or is this Marvel Legends Jubilee Build-A-Figure wave too “modern” for your tastes?

  1. Whaaaaaaat? They look pretty nice.. This is somewhat surprising.. maybe we’ll see 1-2 more sets before the year is out. Wishful thinking, hold on Bulldozer!

  2. all look realy great but its just me or magneto have a big and derpy face also sems ro me the helmet its sculped gota wait to find out

  3. And those thigh joints of Storm are different from what we’ve seen on slim body women characters. This is good, they finally fixed it!!!

  4. Just.

    Release.

    Jubilee.

Seriously, I’ve been waiting over a year now since the BAF Jubilee fiasco began. I’m happy she may now be part of a set with characters I’m more interested in, but all I care about is getting Jubilee.

  5. Any chance of seeing some Days of Future Past moie figures in the next Legends waves? I’d definitely pick up a Young Magneto figure. Seeing him in full helmet and armor leading the Sentinels during the film’s climax was a huge bit of wish fulfillment and it was begging to be turned into a figure.

    • Next to zero past of X-Men Days of Future Past Marvel Legends figures, Sam. 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios are apparently not getting along, and as a result we’re getting stiffed on X-Men DOFP toys from every company that isn’t Diamond Select.
