How much Deadpool is too much Deadpool? You probably reach a saturation point where you’ve just plain had enough Deadpool–but I haven’t reached that point yet. And apparently, neither has Funko! Funko has decided to bring the Deadpool POP! Vinyl mold out of retirement (it was a short retirement), and add to the already double-digit list of Deadpool Funko POP Vinyls figures. In just one month, we can add to the Deadpool rainbow, as the blue-and-yellow Funko Deadpool X-Men Outfit POP! Vinyl figure is now available for order!

Sometimes a joke can become the stuff of legend, and such is the case with the X-Men Costume Deadpool. Affectionately referred to by fans as “Bluepool”, the Blue Deadool costume has appeared in video games, had a SDCC 2014 Funko Mystery Minis figure released, and there’s even a (highly sought-after) Marvel Legends Deadpool Blue Costume figure out there.

And now, the blue X-Men Deadpool figure army is about to grow by one more, as Funko has announced a Funko Deadpool X-Men Costume POP! Vinyl variant scheduled to ship next month!

I’m ever-so-slightly disappointed in this new Funko Deadpool figure, as both in the “Cable and Deadpool” comic book series where this costume originated and on the Marvel Legends Deadpool Blue costume figure, the blue and yellow colors were less primary and more dark and moody.

Even so, I loved “Cable and Deadpool” to bits, and it always makes me geek out to see any remnant from that series get the limelight. So this X-Men Costume Deadpool Funko POP Vinyl figure is a definite buy for me, even if it’s not quite perfect.

The Funko X-Men Deadpool POP! Vinyls figure is now available for pre-order, and is scheduled to be released in October 2014 (that’s next month!). Deadpool has always been one of the best-selling and most popular Funko Marvel POP! Vinyls, and I’d expect this new variant to be no exception.
