Hot Toys Deadpool Cosbaby Figures Series Revealed!

It turns out that that old saying, “You don’t know what you got till it’s gone” is true. Because although the Hot Toys Cosbaby series of figures has never been a breakout success in the United States, now that we haven’t gotten any of the figures in the U.S. anymore, Hot Toys is doing their best work ever with Cosbabies in 2016. And now we can add three more versions of this year’s hottest character to the list: five more Hot Toys Deadpool Cosbaby figures have been revealed!

Hot Toys Deadpool Cosbabies Figures 3-Pack

Grrrrrrr. Now I feel like Hot Toys is just being mean. It’s bad enough that I had to pay over $100 to import the incredible Giant-Man Cosbaby figure from overseas, but now there’s even more super-fun Marvel Cosbabies on the way that it look like we won’t be seeing in the United States.

Following up the domestic no-shows of the Captain America Civil War and Batman v Superman Cosbabies lines, here comes five more Deadpool Cosbaby figures! These Cosbaby Deadpool figures are all caught in “action” poses, with two available individually and three coming together exclusively in a three-pack collectible set.

Hot Toys Deadpool Heart Hands FigureFirst up from the three-pack, we’ve got Deadpool making a heart with his hands. Awwwwww. This figure’s got a mischievous look to it, and you can definitely feel Wade Wilson’s personality pouring through. I think this figure would have done just fine being sold individually, as far as sales go, but Hot Toys must be hoping that the heart hands Deadpool will help move this whole set at retail.

Hot Toys Shocked Deadpool Cosbaby Vinyl FigureNext, it’s a “shocked” Deadpool with his palms pressed to his cheeks. Again–this is really cute. Way beyond Funko, if you ask me. And that’s hard for me to say, as I really, really love Funko.

Deadpool Cosbaby Swords Posed FigureCompleting the three-pack, we’ve got a “striking a pose” Deadpool with his swords positioned smoothly. This is probably my least favorite of the five new Deadpools.

Gesturing Deadpool Hot Toys Cosbaby FigureThe two individual Deadpool Series Cosbaby figures are a “Gesturing” Deadpool and a “Sword-Fighting” Deadpool.

Deadpool Cosbaby Sword-Fighting VersionThe Sword Fighting Deadpool is easily the most dynamically posed Cosbaby styled figure that Hot Toys has ever released, but Gesturing Deadpool wins all the cuteness awards with his adorable pointing and thumbs-up hands. This is a definite must-have for me.

Unfortunately, due to what’s believed to be a licensing issue caused by the Jada Toys figures of a similar style that started coming out this year, it looks like this trio of chibi Wade Wilson figures will not be available from the U.S. Distributor of Hot Toys, Sideshow Collectibles.

This is a real bummer, as I’m going to have to throw more money at international aftermarket sellers again–I’ve yet to find any direct import site that’s shipping the Civil War, BvS, or Deadpool Cosbabies to the United States.

Cosbaby Deadpool Hot Toys Figures Three-PackEbay is the only place I’ve been able to find any of the 2016 Cosbaby figures available for sale, so that’s where I’ve been picking up my Civil War and BvS Cosbabies this year. It’s definitely not my first choice to buy these figures on the aftermarket, but I haven’t been able to find any import store anywhere that carries these figures at all. If you’ve seen any stores selling these that import to the U.S., leave a comment and help me (and your other fellow collectors) out, please.

What do you think of the latest quintet of Hot Toys Deadpool figures, Marvel collectors? Are these the cutest Deadpools ever? And if you’re a Cosbaby collector, have you found a source for this year’s figures besides eBay, or have you given up?

    • They’re totally different lines of Asian-produced super-deformed figures. Nendoroids have tons of alternate parts and some posing ability–Cosbabys are static figures.
