Funko Civil War Spider-Man POP Vinyls Figure Revealed!

A couple months back, the GameStop computers leaked a “Funko Civil War 4-Pack POP Vinyls Set” that immediately set the internet ablaze with speculation. We’ve had to wait quite a while for it, but the contents of that pack have finally been revealed. And the rumors are true: the Funko Civil War Spider-Man POP Vinyls figure joins Hawkeye and more in this sure-to-be best-selling four-pack!

UPDATE 5/13: We didn’t have to wait long for this one! Less than 24 hours after being officially unveiled, the Funko Captain America Civil War POP Vinyls 4-Pack with EXCLUSIVE Spider-Man POP Vinyl is now up for order!

Funko Captain America Civil War 4-Pack Box Spider-Man Hawkeye

When the existence of the Funko POP Vinyls Captain America Civil War 4-Pack first was leaked via a listing in the GameStop database, collectors were quick to ascertain that the first-ever MCU Spider-Man POP Vinyls figure would be in the set.

I thought that idea was unlikely, but the notion became decidedly less so last week when Hasbro revealed their own Marvel Legends Civil War Spider-Man figure. And after tonight’s Periscope session with Funko’s own Yoko and Cameron, the truth is finally known: movie Spider-Man (and friends!) are arriving in this Civil War four-pack this summer!

Funko Civil War Spider-Man POP Vinyl with Captain America's ShieldThe contents of the Funko POP Vinyls 4-Pack are as follows:

  • Spider-Man Civil War POP Vinyl with Captain America’s Shield
  • Civil War Hawkeye POP Vinyl
  • Iron Man Pocket POP Keychain
  • Captain America Pocket POP Keychain

Yep, that’s right–two of the four POPs included in this gift set are keychains! Bet no one saw that coming!

Funko Spider-Man POP Vinyls 4-Pack Civil War RevealedFunko has confirmed that both this movie Spider-Man POP and the Hawkeye from Civil War are exclusive to this set and will not be available anywhere else. I know that’s going to frustrate plenty of collectors who only want Spider-Man (and believe me, I know there are a lot of them), but from what I understand, MCU Spidey must be included only in Captain America: Civil War multipacks for licensing reasons or else he cannot be released at all.

While I’m sure there will be ample grumbles about it, if this is the only way that Funko would release a Civil War Spider-Man movie POP Vinyls figure–and it definitely appears that it is–then I’m glad Funko is going this route and giving fans what they demanded: MCU Spider-Man.

Funko POP Vinyls Civil War Four-Pack Hawkeye Spider-Man Movie

I had predicted that a new Hawkeye POP would be included with the Civil War Collector Corps box (as the omission of Hawkeye was very glaring from the series), and while I was disappointed he was not in the MCC box, I’m thrilled to see Clint making his second Funko appearance here! I’ve heard some fans calling this an “Action Pose Hawkeye POP”, but seeing as how Hawkeye is just standing around, that’s just not true.

Meanwhile, I already own far, far more novelty keychains than I’ll ever use in my lifetime, so I’m not in love with the inclusion of Cap and Iron Man POP Keychains that I otherwise would not have purchased as part of this set.

Even so, the Civil War Spidey and Hawkeye POPs are must-haves for completing my vinyl collection for this movie, so I’ll be paying up for this four-pack with a smile on my face as soon as it goes up for sale.

Civil War Funko Spider-Man POP Vinyl Figure 4-PackWhat do you think of what’s likely to be the final release in the Captain America Civil War POP Vinyls series, Marvel collectors? Will you be picking up this non-exclusive, ~$30 multipack when it hits stores in June? Or are you not willing to shell out 30 bucks for a Spider-Man and some other POPs you may not even want?

  1. What is the purpose of putting that in the contract? Seems to me that selling Spidey in a combo pack or by himself makes no real difference . What’s the point?

    • Licensing. I’m no lawyer, but my best guess is that if Spidey was sold by himself, it wouldn’t be a Civil War product specifically and Sony would be entitled to more money from the release. Releasing Spidey with another MCU character and with the Captain Americs shield specifically places him as being Civil War Spider-Man.

  2. Dude! My 13 year old son is going to loose his mind when he sees this. Spidey has Caps shield! That ups the must have ratio tremendously

  3. HAWKEYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Soooo stoked.
I’ll take the spidey throw in 😉

Thanks for the update. You totally fixed my bad day.

  4. I just want Hawkeye!!!!!! I will keep the baby spiderling and the Cap. I will give away the Tony Stank and all his evil, even if he is funny. Just some mad Hawkeye love!

  5. Does this deal prevent Hot Toys from making a standalone Civil War figure of him, then?

    • I’ve been wondering the same thing. At this point, I’m wondering if Hot Toys will try to release the Homecoming Spider-Man early, rather than dealing with the licensing issues with Civil War Spidey.

      • I feel that them not releasing their version of Spidey from Civil War would be a hugely missed opportunity on their part, enough for them to push for it.
Say, if it’s Spidey with let’s say a minifigure of Ant-Man we’ve seen in both Black Widow’s figure and Hawkeye’s figure, would Hot Toys be able to get away with that? Along with Cap’s shield?

  6. Has anyone got this pack yet? Are they having trouble getting spidey and Hawkeye to actually stand up? Mine just keep falling over. Disappointing..
