Iron Man 3 Minimates Figures Lineup Fully Revealed!

Remember how annoying it was last year when you had to hunt for hard-to-find Toys R Us store exclusives to complete your Minimates Avengers Movie lineups? Well, the situation will be similar (but not as bad) with this year’s Iron Man 3 Minimates series. While nothing as critical as last year’s Hawkeye & Black Widow and Loki & Nick Fury Minimates sets will be exclusive to Toys R Us, they will still be getting several exclusive Iron Man 3 Minimates that fans are really going to want…

I was beginning to wonder if Diamond Select Toys was even going to bother announcing the last three Toys R Us exclusive Iron Man 3 Minimates or let collectors discover them for themselves in stores, seeing as how they’re all set to be released this month. But this week Diamond Select pulled back the curtain and revealed the last three Iron Man 3 movie Minimates figures, and they are all top-notch selections.

Predictably, Diamond Select Toys/Art Asylum is giving the really awesome exclusive Minimates Iron Man 3 figures to Toys R Us and sticking comic & specialty stores with the super-obscure Minimates figures that may or may not do well for those stores.

We already knew about the “Suit Up” Tony Stark figure that comes packed with several pieces of Iron Man Mark 42 armor, but the last three exclusives for Toys R Us are three of the best and coolest-looking new armors from the movie: the Silver Centurion armor, the Skeleton armor, and the Heartbreaker armor.

The Silver Centurion Iron Man armor is an all-time classic from the Iron Man comic books, while the Heavy Artillery (Heartbreaker) Armor has pretty much been the darling of the Internet community (if I had a dollar for every person who said they wished the main armor in the movie was the Heartbreaker instead of the Mark 42, I’d be rich).
Meanwhile, comic book shops and specialty stores (like online retailers) are stuck with exclusive Iron Man 3 Minimates two-packs of War Machine with Maya Hansen and Aldrich Killian with Tony Stark disguised as a cowboy. I usually like the more obscure selections, but these particular figures seem largely unspectacular–I suspect most Marvel fans would have preferred any Iron Man armor over a Cowboy Tony Stark, but that’s just me.
