Iron Studios X-Men Statues: Magik! Havok! Spiral! Mojo! Sauron!

After years making their mark in the collecting sphere with Marvel movie-based statues, Iron Studios finally gained the attention of superhero comics-based collectors everywhere when they debuted their line of 1/10 X-Men Sentinel diorama statues two years ago. The X-Men BDS (Battle Diorama Series) has since become an ever-expanding “golden goose” for the company—and now the line is expanding even further! The Iron Studios Havok and Magik statues are now up for order, and upcoming X-Men statues of Spiral, Mojo and Sauron have been revealed!

Iron Studios X-Men Statues Magik Havok Spiral Mojo Sauron

When I first saw images of the Iron Studios X-Men vs. Sentinels statues, I knew that Iron Studios was about to have their biggest hit ever on their hands. But even I was not prepared for the rapidly-expanding scope of their BDS X-Men statue series, which just keeps going and going with really no sign of stopping in sight!

And last week, the next five additions to the lineup were announced:

  • Magik
  • Havok
  • Spiral
  • Mojo
  • Sauron (Event Exclusive)

Magik Iron Studios X-Men BDS Statue

All five of these are characters that I straight-up love, but my very favorite of the quintet may be the Iron Studios Magik statue, as it’s an affordable resin piece for one of the New Mutants (characters rarely captured in statue form). The teleporting demon sorceress sister of Colossus is the epitome of a fan-favorite, and is an excellent choice for Iron Studios to move onto following the more “iconic” X-Men characters.

Iron Studios Magik Statue Back Side

Dual-wielding her magical Soulsword in her left hand and an “ordinary” sword in her right, Illyana has been captured in her slightly-demonic look, teleporting out of one of her portrays and clad in black leather. For those who dig sexy girls looking a little wilder than Emma Frost, this is a statue of one hot chick.

X-Men Magik Iron Studios Statue

This 11” Magik Iron Studios statue is one of the coolest additions to this lineup, and I absolutely love it. Great add-on to the collection.

Iron Studios Havok Statue X-Men Battle Diorama Series 90s X-Factor

Another pivotal X-Men member also joins the battle in the form of the Iron Studios Havok statue! While Magik is clearly modern, like many of the other characters in this line, Alex Summers is in his retro 90s costume (from Peter David’s X-Factor).

X-Men Iron Studios Havok Statue BDS Series

90s X-Factor remains one of my favorite comic book series of all-time, so I have no gripes at all with Iron Studios opting for this particular era as the inspiration for their Havok (although I reckon there is enough fan demand to do a classic black costume Havok as well someday).

Back of Iron Studios Havok Statue

I think that the translucent cosmic energy effects look slick on this statue, and the concentric circles energy blast being emitted from Havok’s left hand is frankly the best representation I’ve ever seen of his powers in collectible form. Rockin’.

Iron Studios Spiral Statue X-Men Battle Diorama Series

Not up for order yet are a dangerous trio of classic X-Men villains. To my knowledge, there has never been an official statue of Spiral released by any company ever (Bowen Designs had plans for one before shutting down), so a lot of Mojoverse fans are gonna be absolutely stoked for this piece.

X-Men Iron Studios Mojo Statue Revealed

Joining Iron Studios Spiral is a rare statue of Mojo himself, a character that has never gotten any high-end merch outside of a Bowen Designs statue and bust. I think the Bowen Mojo statue is basically perfect, but for anyone who wants a smaller and cheaper take on the X-Men’s ugliest villain, now is your time!

Iron Studios Sauron Statue X-Men Exclusive Event Figure

Finally, we’ve got the Iron Studios Sauron the pterodactyl-man statue, which is labeled as an event exclusive (as was the Juggernaut statue released last month during Sideshow Con). The way Sauron’s lower leg has been angled looks very awkward to me, but there’s no denying the appeal of the first full-bodied Sauron statue ever. I will look forward to when this is likely available domestically next summer.

Havok X-Men Iron Studios 2022 Statue

The Iron Studios X-Men Magik and Havok statues are now available for pre-order, and are scheduled to be released in Q3 2022. There’s plenty more X-Men 1/10 BDS statues arriving between now and then, so it’s gonna be a good year for X-fans with plenty of new arrivals flowing. I’ll post links for the villains once they’re solicited as well.

How do you feel about the newest five-some of X-Men Iron Studios statues, and how the line is expanding as a whole, Marvel collectors? Have you purchased or received any of the statues in this lineup yet yourself, and if not, are there any characters you’re eyeing or hoping to see next?

  1. Si que hay una estatua de Spiral, en concreto un diorama donde pelea con mariposa mental y que tengo yo aunque no recuerdo la compañía que la hizo ya que no se donde tengo la caja. Un saludo
