Marvel Legends Khonshu Series Up for Order! Disney+ Wave 4!

Hasbro pulled off a whopper of a surprise this week when they totally unexpectedly revealed a never-before-teased wave of Marvel Legends figures: the Disney+ Marvel Legends Khonshu Series is now up for order! One of the more eclectic sets that we’ve ever seen, the wave will give fans more Marvel Zombies, an animated Howard the Duck (with disembodied head Scott Lang!), an intimidating skull-headed Khonshu Build-A-Figure and more!

Marvel Legends Khonshu Series Figures

The case ratios for the Khonshu Marvel Legends Disney+ Series are as follows:
(2) Zombie Iron Man [What If…?]
(1) Zombie Scarlet Witch [What If…?]
(1) Howard the Duck [What If…?]
(1) Red Skull [What If…?]
(1) Classic Loki [Loki]
(1) He Who Remains [Loki]
(1) Agent Jimmy Woo [WandaVision]
Build-A-Figure: Khonshu [Moon Knight]

Zombie Tony Stark is both the only double-packed figure in the wave and the only figure without a Khonshu BAF piece. That makes sense to me, as this is the figure most likely to appeal to casual fans who might not take an interest in any other character in the wave.

Let’s have a look at each individual figure in the set…

Marvel Legends Zombie Scarlet Witch Figure

Zombie Wanda got a Funko POP last year, which I sort of expected would be her sole toy representation. I’m glad it’s not, as she was easily the most powerful and memorable of the Marvel Zombies in that episode.

Although she’s primarily made of existing tooling, Marvel Legends Zombie Scarlet Witch comes with an all-new torn and tattered coat, as well as
crazy, floating hair. She also gets some old pink magic effects. This might be my favorite figure in this whole wave.

Marvel Legends Zombie Iron Man Figure

By comparison, Zombie Iron Man is a bit disappointing. He has a grotesque new zombie head and a piece of his rib cage exposed through his torso armor, but he definitely doesn’t have as many gnarled or interesting details as Zombie Captain America (who was an all-new mold) did. The only other bone sticking out is under a forearm in a hard-to-see place, and the “dirt” deco on the mostly reused armor mold looks unconvincing. This Zombie Tony Stark just feels underwhelming.

Marvel Legends Howard the Duck and Scott Lang Head Figures from What If

Howard the Duck will garner a lot of interest due to being a rarely-done figure, but he’s also a bit disappointing due to a dearth of articulation including no lower body articulation. Howard will come with Scott Lang’s head in a jar from the Zombies episode, which is a fun add-on that’s a mite illogical since it’s from a different episode entirely (Howard was in the T’Challa Star-Lord episode and doesn’t appear in the Marvel Zombies episode).

Marvel Legends What If Red Skull Figure Khonshu BAF Series

Rounding out this wave’s What If? Characters, we get Red Skull from the series premiere featuring Captain Carter. Red Skull uses the SDCC 2018 exclusive’s body, which will be nice for those who missed that set containing Red Skull and the life-size Tesseract (one of my favorite Marvel Legends prop replicas).

Marvel Legends Agent Jmmy Woo Figure WandaVision

After appearing in both Ant-Man movies and WandaVision, Agent Jimmy Woo is now getting his first (and most likely only ever) mass release action figure. I think the swap-out “card trick” hand is neat, but I think the Randall Park actor likeness is somewhat lacking.

Marvel Legends Classic Loki Richard Grant Figure

Classic Loki gives us a fan-favorite variant of Loki with two awesome heads (the melancholy one is my preference) and cool spell effects, and a decent Richard Grant likeness. I really dig this, but I think it’s a crime we don’t have Marvel Legends Kid Loki and Crocodile Loki yet.

Marvel Legends He Who Remains Figure Loki Kang

Finally, the last single-packed figure in the series is He Who Remains. This figure looks nice and will include an all-important green apple accessory. This isn’t exactly a thrilling character to pose, but given his importance in Loki and his chilling performance, I think this will be a popular release with hardcore fans.

Marvel Legends Khonshu Build-A-Figure

Oddly enough, the sole representative from the Disney+ Moon Knight series is the Build-A-Figure: Khonshu. He’s a huge all-new figure that’s over 8.5” tall and loaded with (pin-less) articulation. The long crescent staff looks deadly, and the novelty of his floating skull being held up by a translucent neck post is pretty cool. I think this is a worthy build-a-figure to help drive sales of the series as a whole.

Close-Up of Marvel Legends Khonshu BAF Figure

Marvel Legends Disney+ Series 4 is now up for order and is scheduled for release in 2023. What do you think of this assortment, Marvel collectors? Are there still characters missing from prior Disney+ shows you want to see represented in ML 6” form, and what figure(s) will you be picking up from this wave?

Marvel Legends Khonshu Series Up for Order! Disney+ Wave 4! — 6 Comments

  1. For this wave, I’m really only interested in the BAF. He looks excellent. I can’t find anything else calling to me at all though. I’d be ok with getting the Red Skull, but I already have two variations of him, so…

They look fine. Just, being so much about the TV shows, this isn’t for me at all.

  2. The only ones I’m interested in are Jimmy Woo and probably Zombie Wanda. But that Khonshu BAF looks fantastic, so I suppose I’m gonna have to track most of these down.

  3. I’m thinking maybe that Wanda head would make for a great base to do a custom Dark Phoniex/Jean Grey. Also Khonsu looks bomb as hell, even if it is from the crushingly disrespectful D+ show

  4. That Khonshu is fantastic. I’m in on the Disney+ stuff. I like the Jimmy Woo and Loki. The rest are ok, I guess. But man do I hate hate hate that packaging. I see in stores all the time where the baf piece has been stolen and the figure is still hanging out. Or the figure has been completely swapped for a different figure. For the serious collectors, we are going to be forced to order only online to ensure you get everything in the box. Which kills the thrill of the hunt, if you will. I hope this packaging goes away soon.

  5. Between the MCU move & television lines, and the animated lines, I’m saving a lot of money. I’m really only interested in comic book based figures.
