I haven’t even had a chance to uploads all of my photos from the NYCC 2014 Diamond Select Toys booth and talk about all of the goodness that they brought to the show, but DST has already unleashed their next release upon us! It’s the third Disney Store exclusive Marvel Select figure of 2014, and it’s another variation of a headliner character: the all-new Marvel Select Bleeding Edge Iron Man figure is now up for order!

Marvel Select Bleeding Edge Iron Man Figure Packaged

Diamond Select Toys really likes to take us by surprise with their Marvel Select exclusive figure reveals, and they’ve definitely done so again today!

I truly wasn’t expecting anything new from Diamond Select for a while, seeing as how they were just at the biggest comic con in America over the weekend (eat it, San Diego), but a totally unannounced Marvel Select Disney Store exclusive figure has now appeared for sale online: Bleeding Edge Iron Man.

Marvel Legends Heroic Age Iron Man Figure 2013Hasbro actually released a Bleeding Edge/Heroic Age Iron Man figure as part of the Iron Man Marvel Legends Wave 1 series in 2013, but while that 6″ action figure features superior articulation to the 7″ Marvel Select Heroic Age Iron Man action figure, the Diamond Select Toys Marvel Select Bleeding Edge Iron Man is far more aesthetically stunning to look at.

The sculpting is superior on the DST Bleeding Edge Iron Man, and its shiny red and gold paint looks amazing!

Bleeding Edge Iron Man Marvel Select Exclusive Figure Back

Debuting in Invincible Iron Man #25 back in 2010, the Bleeding Edge Iron Man armor (also sometimes referred to as the Iron Man Mark 38 or Heroic Age Iron Man armor) proved to be one of the more popular Iron Man armor designs introduced in the comics in decades. Though it’s now been replaced by a more advanced Iron Man armor, loads of great stores were told with the Heroic Age Iron Man armor, making it a great choice for a new exclusive figure.

The Bleeding Edge Iron Man Marvel Select figure includes just one accessory, but it’s a doozy: a huge and elaborate flight stand that allows Iron Man to fly over an airplane wing! I love the idea of this base, and Iron Man will look fantastic flying high above his Avengers comrades on this base.

Disney Store Exclusive Marvel Select Bleeding Edge Iron Man Action FigureThe Marvel Select Bleeding Edge Iron Man figure is now available for order online, and should arrive in physical Disney Stores as well in October/November 2014. All of my local Disney Stores are long out of business, so I went ahead and ordered this (outstanding) Iron Man online to replace the (decent) Marvel Legends Bleeding Age Iron Man in my collection.

  1. Otro ironman????????? Muy lindo todo pero en mi opinion estoy aburrido de capis spideys ironmans ya es reiterativo. Soy coleccionista pero ya no quiero tener mas figuras de spidey capi o tony!!!!!!!!! Q paso con cable? Xq no hicieron en select un ronan movie? O a groot? O cualquier otra cosa……..ya hasbro me aburre

  3. Ol shell head has been my favorite character since the early 90s… I like the figure but hate how its packaged in a “super man” like flying pose.
