Marvel Studios Legends Up for Order! Sif! Yellowjacket! Red Skull!

Hasbro has done an increasingly good job over the past few years in producing more and more of the important characters from the various Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, but there are still quite a few characters that fell through the cracks. Luckily, Hasbro is giving many collectors what they want and filling in the gaps this year. We got a first round of POs in the winter and here comes round 2: the Marvel Studios Legends Ant-Man & Yellowjacket, Red Skull, Thor & Lady Sif are now up for order!

Marvel Legends Thor Dark World and Lady Sif Two Pack Packaged

The 10 Years of Marvel Studios commemoration is turning out to be a pretty big deal, but perhaps nowhere is it as big of a deal as in Hasbro’s 6” Marvel Legends series, which is getting the most expansive line of MCU 10th Anniversary merch around!

Back in February, pre-orders opened up for the Civil War Captain America & Crossbones two-pack, Iron Man Mark VII from Avengers, and Ronan the Accuser from Guardians of the Galaxy. And after last month’s launch of the Infinity War 3-Pack, the rest of the next round of 10 Years of Marvel Studios Marvel Legends is officially on the way!

Marvel Legends Lady Sif and Dark World Thor FiguresFirst up, we’ve got a two-pack from Thor: The Dark World. These are actually the first 6” Marvel Legends figures EVER specifically for that movie, as Hasbro only made 3.75” figures initially. Crazy, right?!

Dark World Thor looks nice and all, but Marvel Legends Lady Sif is the big winner here that’s going to be selling this two-pack. Who doesn’t love Jaimie Alexander?

Marvel Legends Ant-Man and Yellowjacket Two Pack 10 Years of Marvel StudiosNext, we’ve got a bit of a make-good for the first Ant-Man movie. While we got a whole series of Ant-Man Legends, there was only one movie figure in that wave from the movie: a figure of Ant-Man himself with a helmet that wasn’t even the final version from the movie. Poor Scott Lang!

Marvel Studios Legends Ant-Man and Yellowjacket Six Inch FiguresI legit thought we’d never see another Hasbro 6” figure from that movie, but I was blown away by the prototypes of Ant-Man and Yellowjacket when I saw them debuted at New York Toy Fair 2018. Even though movie Yellowjacket wasn’t exactly the best character in the world, this figure may end up on a lot of peoples’ “Best of 2018” Lists in another six months!

Marvel Legends Red Skull Marvel Studios Figure Packaged

Lastly, it’s the movie version of the Red Skull from Captain America: The First Avenger. In a sure sign that senility is setting in, I honest to God had to look up if there had ever been a 6” Movie Red Skull Legends figure before (there hasn’t been, though DST did a beautiful Marvel Select).

This Marvel Studios Marvel Legends Red Skull figure’s best feature, however, is the fact that it’s a single-packed figure that comes with four interchangeable heads. Want to army-build Hydra Soldiers in the varieties of your choice? Easy-peasy thanks to this having its own SKU and being able to be ordered in whatever quantity you want. Brilliant move by Hasbro making this single-packed.

Marvel Legends Red Skull 10 Years Figure with Alternate Hydra HeadsThe 10 Years of Marvel Studios Marvel Legends Red Skull, Sif/Thor and Ant-Man/Yellowjacket sets are all now up for order, and are scheduled to ship out in late July/early August 2018. I don’t think I need to tell anyone that Hasbro has a metric ton of Marvel figures in the pipeline, so we’ll have to see how much (or how little) shelf space brick and mortar stores end up devoting to these anniversary cinematic figures.

We’ve had to wait 3-7 years for them, but at last Marvel Legends movie figures of Yellowjacket, Red Skull, and even Lady Sif are available. What do you think of Hasbro’s latest efforts, and will you be filling in the gaps in your plastic Marvel Cinematic Universe with any of these new releases?

  1. I’m so SICK of all off of the 6″ figures. This past year has been a 3.75″/4″ collector’s nightmare. We get no cool characters, no articulation, no cool sculpts or paints jobs. I’m so close to being done with all of this. A Yellowjacket like that would have been great. I sure hope they have big plans for 4″ figures in 2019.

    • I’m pretty sure Marvel’s 4″ scale line is dead in the water right now, unfortunately.

  2. Just bought the Ant-Man & Yellowjacket today in Toronto, Canada, so this has officially been released as well as the rest of the 10 year series

  3. Found at EB Games in Canada, along with Silver Surfer, Ronan, Iron Man, and the Hulk and Hulkbuster set.
