Toy Fair 2014: Funko Marvel Fabrikations Deadpool Plush!

The 2014 New York Toy Fair won’t officially begin until tomorrow (though there’s lots of cool Hasbro news still to come today), but Funko has decided to get fans psyched up a day early by previewing one of their big news line: Funko Fabrikations 6″ plush toys. This is relevant because the line will include Marvel characters, beginning with the Funko Fabrikations Deadpool plush that is now up for pre-order and shipping in spring 2014!

I’m now pretty dang certain that Funko is planning to rule the world. First they conquered the vinyl figures market with their Funko POP Vinyls and Funko Mystery Minis. Then they moved onto the vintage Reaction figures and Funko Legacy Collection 6″ figures.

And now? Funko is moving on to the plush collectibles market, with a whole lineup of licensed plush toys (of a sort). Standing 6″ tall, these stuffed plushies will be right in scale with your 6″ action figures (except, you know–with super-deformed proportions and all).

Presumably Funko will be showing off more Marvel Funko Fabrikations plush toys at the New York Toy Fair 2014 this weekend, but for now, they’ve previewed one of Marvel’s hottest characters–Deadpool!

I’m not usually a plush collector (anymore), but this 6″ Deadpool Fabrikations plush is reminiscent enough of the Skottie Young interpretation of Deadpool that I love it. In fact if Funko can make these Fabrikations Marvel plush toys as cute as the Skottie Young artwork, I might just have to collect them all!

While Deadpool is the only Marvel one of the free-standing plush Funko Fabrikations that Funko has previewed before the NY Toy Fair 2014 begins, they also showed off Fabrikations Batman, Harley Quinn, Boba Fett and Yoda, Raphael and Greedo. Yoda is pretty hideous, but Funko definitely won me over with Greedo!
