When I heard that a Funko POP! Rides Deadpool Chimichanga Truck set was in the works earlier this winter, I would have written it off as a ridiculous rumor if it hadn’t come from the president of Funko himself. Even so, my mind was still having a hard time grasping the concept of this vehicle–right up until I walked into the New York Comic Con 2015 Funko booth, where I was finally able to grasp the hilarity of this new Funko Deadpool toy…

UPDATE 2/17/2015: The Funko Deadpool Chimichanga Truck is now up for order!

Deadpool is a pretty irreverent, crazy guy, who happens to have a near-legendary love of Mexican food (don’t ask me why). This love led to Hasbro releasing a Deadpool Taco Truck pack for San Diego Comic-Con 2013, and in 2015, Deadpool is going to have to expand his garage when he gets his very own Chimichanga Truck from Funko!

Of all the vehicles in the Marvel universe that I thought we’d be seeing in Funko form, I can honestly say that I didn’t even have a Deadpool Chimichanga Truck on the list at all. That said, this bright yellow truck with “Chimichanga” deco on it is bright, funny, and a perfect gift to give to your Deadpool loving friends (or Deadpool hating enemies).

The Funko Deadpool POP Vinyls figure included with the set is actually a new Deadpool mold, as the figure is Deadpool holding a chimichanga (which is sort of a necessity, given the nature of this set and all).

Unfortunately, the Funko POP! Rides Agent Coulson with Lola was not on display at the 2015 New York Toy Fair, but hopefully we’ll be seeing that set in prototype form by the summer.

The Funko POP Rides Deadpool Chimichanga Truck is now up for order, and retails for $24.99 like the rest of the Funko POP Vinyls Rides sets (although these prices do tend to vary by indvidual retailer). The set is scheduled for release in May 2015, although I expect this particular Funko set to be pretty hard to find in retail stores for its first few months of release.
