Exclusive Marvel Gallery Statues: Mysterio! Emma Frost! Spider-Man Noir!

This month’s Diamond Select Toys solicitations were a little bit light for Marvel Gallery fans, with just one all-new item offered: McFarlane-style 90s Spider-Man PVC figure. But don’t worry, DST collectors—you won’t have to starve for new offerings, as there are not one, not two, but five new exclusives coming your way this summer: the GameStop Exclusive Mysterio, Emma Frost, Spider-Man Noir and more are now up for order online!

Marvel Gallery Gamestop Exclusive Statues Emma Frost Star-Lord Mysterio Spider-Man Noir

GameStop has long been the destination for most exclusive Marvel Gallery statues by Diamond Select Toys. In fact, the first ever exclusive was the GameStop X-Force Deadpool PVC a few years back!

Ordinarily we get a slow trickle of new Gallery Exclusives for GameStop each year, but this month is different—this month GameStop has announced and opened pre-orders for five (count ‘em, FIVE!) new Marvel Gallery statues! Are any of these must-haves? Let’s have a looksie…

Marvel Gallery Mysterio Gamestop ExclusiveAlmost certainly the biggest shocker among this bath of new announcements is that Mysterio—one of Spidey’s most recognizable classic villains and the star antagonist of this summer’s Spider-Man movie—will be getting his first DST statue as a GameStop exclusive!

Close-Up of Mysterio Gallery PVC StatueI’m really, really stunned to see the Marvel Gallery Mysterio Statue as a retailer exclusive. The figure itself looks tremendously cool with his arms spread wide and his evil-looking neon green mist. This seems like a surefire quick sell-out for GameStop and just a hugely surprising piece to limit at all right now.

Gamestop Exclusive Marvel Gallery Spider-Man Noir StatueJoining Mysterio in the list of Spidey-related Exclusives is another fan-favorite: Marvel Gallery Spider-Man Noir! According to the blurb, this is based off of Spidey Noir’s GamerVerse video game appearance.

Spider-Man Noir Select Marvel Gallery PVC StatueGiven that Noir Spider-Man is a unique sculpt of a legitimately popular iteration of Spidey, this is another piece you would anticipate selling well at mass retail. Looks nice—surprised to see the limited nature of this release too.

The remaining three exclusives are also all unique sculpts, but ones that I think won’t be quite as hot as the aforementioned two.

Marvel Gallery Endgame Quantum Suit Captain America Statue Gamestop ExclusiveFirst off, we’ve got a Quantum Suit Captain America Gallery Statue. Cap is, well… walking. He only wears this costume for a minute in Avengers Endgame, so I think this will have limited appeal. Perfect choice for a retailer exclusive piece.

Side View of Star-Lord Marvel Gallery Gamestop FigureNext, we’ve got a comic-based Guardians of the Galaxy PVC statue for the first time ever from DST: Star-Lord! While we’ve had a few MCU movie-based Star-Lords released previously, it’s nice to see the comic book GotG getting some love from Diamond Select Toys.

Close-Up of Gamestop Exclusive Star-Lord Marvel Gallery StatueEven so—and despite the fact that Star-Lord is among my absolute favorite characters—this figure isn’t doing much for me at all. While the concept is great, the stylized head on Peter Quill is way too wild for me. Pass, though I’d love more comic Guardians in the future.

Gamestop Exclusive Marvel Gallery Emma Frost PVC FigureFinally, we’ve got a figure that we all would have seen coming from a mile away as an exclusive variant—except that no original version has ever existed! From Bowen Designs to Funko to Hasbro, every company likes to release a Diamond Form Emma Frost variant of the regular version.

Back of GameStop Emma Frost White Queen Diamond Select Toys FigureDST is turning that concept on its head by soliciting this exclusive Diamond Emma Frost—when no non-Diamond, non-exclusive White Queen has ever been revealed at all!

Close-Up of Gamestop Emma Frost Gallery StatueThe pose and base of this Emma Frost are really neat, I love the concept design… really, I dig this far more than the Kotobukiya ARTFX+ of Emma we got a few years ago. With no “normal” version of the White Queen announced, I guess they’ve got me for the Diamond not-a-variant that I would typically opt out from.

Diamond Select Mysterio Figure Gamestop ExclusiveAll five of these Marvel Gallery Gamestop exclusives are up for sale now on their website, with most of them scheduled to arrive over the course of the next month (besides Endgame Captain America in September). My local GameStops are terrible about stocking these PVC statues, so I just went ahead and ordered the three I wanted online. If I happen to see Star-Lord in person and think he looks great somehow, I might grab him too.

What do you think of this multitude of exclusives, Marvel Gallery collectors? Do you think these five pieces would have done well as mass releases, and will you be scooping any of them up? Would you want a normal Emma Frost, or are you cool with the Diamond form?

Exclusive Marvel Gallery Statues: Mysterio! Emma Frost! Spider-Man Noir! — 5 Comments

  1. Oh geez…first the 90’s Spidey, now Mysterio and Spider-Man Noir? They’re gonna make a statue collector out of me yet.

    • GREAT !!! Five statues I can’t pre-order as the GameStop site cannot be accessed from the UK !! I have every single Marvel Gallery statue (other than Ronin, obviously !! ) and a few Premiere up for pre-order. I’ve been waiting for whatever else they were putting out and would have ordered every single one of these, but now ( if I want them) I will have to wait until someone puts them on eBay and then have my pants pulled down and get spanked over the price !! Diamond are a relatively small company compared to Hasbro. You would think that they would at least want all of their collectors to have access to their products !! Great statues but once again the marketing really blows !!! Bad DST !!!

      • I Couldn’t agree more. The sad truth is that toy companies, from small to big, still seem to be focused only on the North American market, completely ignoring the rest of the wide world out there and as such leaving a tremendous huge market aside. Diamond was more or less okay up till now. Hasbro and Mattel are real disasters in this matter.

  2. Absolutely !! I don’t understand this at all. Some of these companies such as DST and even Marvel’s own site do not ship internationally !! A huge company like Marvel doesn’t ship abroad. That’s crazy !! I can’t understand why DST would do five GameStop exclusives in the first place. I have really paired down my figure collection over the past six months or so and only collect the Gallery range and other 1/7-1/8 scale Marvel statues that work with them, plus the odd Premiere or Milestone that I really like. I have bought every single Gallery statue apart from one or two variants in that time. If I want to buy these ones (which I do) I will have to wait until they come up on eBay. Then pay what is usually a vastly inflated price plus shipping, taxes and “handling charges”!! So about three times as much altogether a lot of the time !! It’s ridiculous. If they were available on BBTS or Forbidden Planet I would have them on pre order along with every single one available for pre order right now !! The Gallery line is really popular in the UK as well. It’s very odd, but Diamonds contract with Marvel has always seemed pretty odd altogether but I’m really bloody annoyed about this to be honest !! I know that may sound a bit over the top but when it’s the only line you collect it kinda throws a spanner in the works !! Good luck with your hunt buddy and thanks for the reply . ✌️
