Considering that Hot Toys had held out this long, you would think–you would just think–that they would want to wait just a few more hours to do a grandiose reveal of their upcoming Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man Diecast Movie Masterpiece Series figure at San Diego Comic Con 2013 Preview Night. But if you thought that (like me), you thought wrong! Overnight Hot Toys posted the glamor shots of their diecast Iron Man Heartbreaker Mark 17 armor MMS, and the beauty is now up for order on Sideshow Collectibles!
As with previous Hot Toys Iron Man MMS figure, the Heartbreaker figure will feature a light-up chest ARC Reactor, as well as light-up hands to imitate repulsor blasts.
We do get to see the Heartbreaker Heavy Artillery suit for a decent chunk of the final battle in “Iron Man 3”, so the suit at least has some screen time to warrant a purchase of a figure that costs a couple hundred dollars.
Like all of the Hot Toys Iron Man 3 Diecast Movie Masterpiece Series figures shown off so far, we’re not going to get much in the way of accessories at all with the Mark XVII Heartbreaker Iron Man. From the glamor shots it appears that once again all we’re going to get is the Light-Up base for the figure and two pairs of alternate hands. It would be nice to at least get a Robert Downey Jr. Tony Stark head or something included with this figure, but for just $250 for an AMAZING Diecast Heartbreaker Iron Man, I can deal with few accessories.
UPDATE: I said earlier that “I would not be the last bit surprised to see this knockout Heartbreaker Iron Man sixth scale figure go up for sale this week”–and in fact, the Hot Toys Iron Man Heartbreaker 1/6 Figure is now up for pre-order in the United States through Sideshow Collectibles! And to my surprise, it’s at a “bargain” price of $249.99! The figure is still tagged as being “diecast”, so maybe Hot Toys has just decided to cut us a break and give us this figure for a good value? Regardless, the Iron Man 3 Hot Toys Heartbreaker Iron Man looks absolutely amazing, and I can’t wait for its scheduled arrival in February 2014.
The ‘Heartbreaker’ armor is absolutely amazing, no doubt about that. I’ll will be getting this, damn Hot Toys, LOL.
