Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man Case Ratios & Pre-Order!

It seems like only yesterday I was predicting a late release for the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 figures (because it was), but in the last 24 hours the gears have finally begun moving on this year’s Marvel Legends train: the Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2015 figures are now up for order! The case ratios for the series aren’t bad, necessarily, but for once, I actually wanted Hasbro to heavy-pack a Spider-Man figure, and of course, they did not…

Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2015 Infinite Series 6 Inch Figures

I literally talked extensively about all seven figures that make up this year’s Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Series wave just yesterday, so I’ll forgo talking further about the figures themselves here beyond noting that this is a really fantastic assortment. Six of the seven figures in this set look tremendous, so Hasbro is really doing right by Spidey fans again this year.

It’s a downer that it doesn’t sound like we’re getting a “refresh” assortment this year with more new characters, but perhaps Hasbro will reveal something about that at the New York Toy Fair 2015 next month. Anyway, on with the case ratios…

Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2015 Figure Packaged HasbroThe Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man case ratios are as follows:

(2)  Marvel Legends Spider-Man Figure
(2) Marvel Legends Anti-Venom Figure
(1) Marvel Legends Spider-Girl Figure
(1) Marvel Legends Ultimate Spider-Woman Figure
(1) Marvel Legends Daredevil Figure
(1) Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2099 Figure

Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2099 Figure PackagedFor the most part, I think Hasbro has come up with a pretty good assortment. That classic comic book Spider-Man figure (with pizza!) actually looks like a fantastic figure, and Hasbro is almost certainly correct in shortpacking the two alternate universe Spider-females in this set. I would have liked to have seen the new Spider-Man 2099 or Daredevil Marvel Legends figures double-packed to fill out the assortment, but Hasbro had a different idea: Anti-Venom.

Marvel Legends 2015 Anti-Venom Figure Close-Up

I can see what Hasbro was thinking here with Anti-Venom: both the Marvel Legends Sons of the Symbiotes figures (Carnage and the far lesser-known Toxin) sold like hot cakes at retail, so it makes sense to heavy-pack this year’s symbiote as well.

It’s unfortunate that this particular Marvel Legends Anti-Venom is an inconsequential character which is also the worst figure in the wave, but I do understand Hasbro’s logic. Hopefully we don’t drown in Anti-Venom figures this year as a result.

Marvel Legends Spider-Girl Figure PackagedThe 2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Series figures are now available for order, with a scheduled release of February 2015. I don’t believe these figures are in the docks yet, and with the port strike going on delays can happen, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if these arrive on schedule (I bet against it and I’m sticking to it).

Now that we know the case ratios and final pricing for this series, what figures (if any) will you be picking up in the Marvel Legends Hobgoblin Build-A-Figure wave?

Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man Case Ratios & Pre-Order! — 14 Comments

  1. “It seems like only yesterday I was predicting a late release for the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 figures”, ahahaha!!!

  2. Not seems like, that’s exactly when it was, and literally minutes after there was a pre order. Collectors need to stop making accusations and complaining all the time. Just like the antman stuff, you do not know if it’s going to be crap or if it’s not going to be legends and it really doesn’t matter, and same goes for those who keep doom and glooming the legends saying that these aren’t even going to make it out, it doesn’t matter. Legends are going strong and infinite is dying, deal with it. Last year was awesome and this year is going to be better. Just chull out already , none of the speculation matters the least, it’s annoying at best.

    • I was never complaining. I was being realistic about this series not arriving in stores on time due to port strikes. And even though this series is up for pre-order now, that doesn’t mean it won’t be delayed when it -does- get to the port.

There was never any doom-or-gloom speculation about these figures being cancelled or not making it out–just a question of when they were going to reach us (which will be unanswered until they actually do).

      • No doom and gloom from you specifically but I have been seeing it a lot everywhere else. I was not speaking directly to you but for all those that are in that category.

        • Yeah,I’ve seen the gloom and doom around the boards and the nigh ever present fan boy brooding, but it’s the internet and mass peer pressure to be edgy, cool,a badass or hip,and so forth. Like the skinny girl says in her song, the haters gonna hate-hate-hate…
Personally I make a point to be objective and have an optimist mind about all things. Like I am sure you meant no malice in the statement that “infinite is dying” however negative that sounds.
By the selfsame logic used for Antman stufff and legends you have “doom and gloomed” infinite/marvel universe. “You don’t know if it is going to be crap and it does not matter”
Last year WAS AWESOME,capt! This year WILL be more so! Lol
Of that,I most definitley agree with you.

    • Calm down, dude. I had no idea about a port strike, so I thought it was worthwhile to know that they might be delayed.

  3. This is a skip wave to me. Double packing anti-venom over dd and not sculpting the weblines on the spideys is gonna leave a lot of pegwarmers from this wave i think. Im psyched for most of the odin wave, but not feeling this one unfortunately. This is a weird choice considering every stores still overloaded with amazing & superior spideys.

I really want spider girl. I wish the females were heavy packed for a change. If hasbro does that, i will be so shocked! I wonder what is the 7th figure in this wave. i hope its miles morales lol!

  6. I pre ordered these the minute they went up at dorkside. You can’t beat free shipping on a case plus it saves me the hassle of tracking these down. What usually happens is I find them in stores before they ship anyways so I will have to cdncel my pre order if I do. I’m all in with marvel legends since the mu or avengers infinite decided on raising the price for cheap unarticulated crap.

    • I am all in with Marvel LEGENDS INFINITE series, and
Marvel infinite series aka Hasbro Marvel universe:Marvel 3.75″aka “avengers infinite” or the 1/18th scale. Ok.
“Cheap” they are not, capt.(and that is the problem)
That is 1 reason for your choice not to buy them anymore.
      “Unarticulated” they are Not.
“Unarticulated” means zero,or no articulation at all. Like statues.
Un prefix gives a word its opposite meaning. It is the opposite of articulated. The figures have LESS points of articulation.-RIGHT?
“Crap” is debatable. A personel matter of opinion. Subjective.
There are collectors who like figures mint in box/on card whom articulation has no bearing. Not everybody plays with their toys.
Some just display them carded on hooks or shelves. Ok.
You were admonishing the naysayers ,haters, and gloomy grouches for catastrohpizing about legends,so I’m just saying let’s all be cool about whatever marvel stuff that comes out. We all don’t like the same thing.
      Its cool,dude.

  7. did anyone find any new marvel legends in retailers. Some people have it, but its from the east side. If anyone sees ANY new marvel legends figures, tell me ASAP!!

    • East Side ?? Do you mean East Coast ? If so… What retailers have you heard have these ?
