Marvel Legends 2024 Void Series Figures Packaged

To kick off their 2024 Marvel Legends toy line, Hasbro is bringing us not only the return of window box packaging for mass retail waves of ML, but also an incredible lineup of figures with a mix of much-requested updates and never-done characters.

The case ratios for this Avengers Marvel Legends series are as follows:

(2) Black Panther
(1) Vision
(1) Crystar
(1) Justice
(1) Namorita
(1) Savage Namor
(1) Power Princess
Build-A-Figure: Void

2024 Marvel Legends Black Panther Figure

Make no mistake: the two headliner figures in this wave are the classic Avengers members Black Panther and the Vision (although only one of them—Black Panther—is double-packed at two-per-case).

Marvel Legends Void Series Black Panther Action Figure

This isn’t a retro version of T’Challa, though—it’s based on the 90s Christopher Priest look for the character. I’m a big fan of this version of the character, and this is a worthy update to the Toybiz release close the better part of two decades ago. Even with so many Black Panthers released in recent years, I’m sure this will be popular.

Marvel Legends Vision 2024 Figure Void Series

Equally—if not more—popular, will be the new classic Vision Marvel Legends figure. It’s absolutely astonishing that it’s taken this long for Hasbro to update this particular look for Vision, but the long overdue figure does not disappoint at all.

Marvel Legends Crystar Figure 2023 Void Wave

The colors, articulation and construction of this new Vision action figure are all top-notch—every Avengers fan who collects comic-based figures is going to want this Marvel Legends Vision.

Crystar is a character I never expected to see in a Marvel Legends lineup in 1,000 years, but I’m a sucker for translucent action figures and also obscure characters, so I’m psyched about this 80s Marvel-created fantasy toy character. A “left field” character to really get peoples’ attention.

Marvel Legends Crystar isn’t necessarily a marquee character kids will be going to stores hoping to see, but I think his unique and fun design will draw a lot of eyes and he will be popular with longtime fans and collectors. I’m not certain he’ll manage to be a hit in stores, but I think Crystar will still do okay for himself sales-wise.

Justice and Namorita will “sort of” complete the original 90s New Warriors lineup in 6” figures form, but not exactly. I think fans sort of expected Marvel Boy instead of Justice and white-skinned Namorita instead of blue-skinned.

Blue Namorita Marvel Legends Void Series Action Figure New WarriorsI think of these iterations as sort of “Season 2” looks, but I have complete faith Hasbro is working on figures of the more familiar/iconic versions of these characters for a future release (perhaps as part of some kind of themed multipack).

2024 Marvel Legends Justice Action Figure

Marvel Legends Namorita looks phenomenal with the pin-less female super-articulation that Hasbro has just about perfected. I don’t love the pinned knees on Marvel Legends Justice, particularly since the bright blue plastic makes the pins quite apparent—but at least we’re not suffering through a pinned Marvel Boy fiasco.

Marvel Legends Savage Namor Figure

Just when I thought Hasbro had produced every iteration of Namor possible (short of an old-school red trunks version), they go and hit us with a wild 90s Savage Namor Legends figure.

Savage Namor Hasbro Marvel Legends 2024 6 Inch Figure

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any fan ever request this edgy mid-90s Namor in action figure form, but there’s no denying it’s fun seeing such a wacky Sub-Mariner in toy form. I don’t love this ML Savage Namor, but I also don’t hate it. It’s definitely something different, if nothing else.

Marvel Legends 2024 Power Princess Figure

I honestly thought Hasbro would release the whole rest of the Squadron Supreme team without Power Princess, but here she is. And not only that—but she’s getting a mass release as an individual figure while the rest of the team are relegated to two-packs primarily available online! What a twist!

And Power Princess looks gorgeous—more “Wonder Woman” than a lot of Wonder Woman figures that have been released. I know some fans will still balk about this not bring their preferred vintage version of the character, but I love this.

Rounding out the series, we have the Void Build-A-Figure. The Dark God counterpart to The Sentry, it’s hard for me to really summarize what The Void even is despite having read almost all of the material with the character.

It’s hard to put your finger on a precise or most recognizable appearance for this dark entity, but Hasbro has gone with the “crustacean” monster look for the character. This monstrous design works well, I think, and may help define a look for The Void if the character is ever revived in the comics.

And that’s a wrap for the inaugural Marvel Legends 2024 figures lineup! What say you, Marvel collectors? What’s your evaluation of the Void Series, and which figures (if any) will you be adding to your collection?

Marvel Legends 2024 Void Series Figures Up for Order! Namorita! Vision! — 2 Comments

  1. I’m not really familiar with the Void, but that BAF looks amazing. I may need to scrounge for BAF pieces, since I have little interest in the wave as a whole. Just Vision and Crystar for me.

  2. Not my preferred looks for Justice and Namorita, but I’ll take them. That Black Panther looks great, as does classic Vision.

I’m not a fan of Sentry or Void, but even I have to admit that BAF looks spectacular.
