Marvel Titan Hero Dr. Doom Falcon & Hawkeye Figures Released!

Another of the portents of the apocalypse has come to fruition, as I’m talking about the Hasbro Marvel Titan Hero 12″ figures for the second day in a row. Marvel Titan Heroes aren’t my favorite line (not am I the target demographic), but a lot of people love them, so I want to feature them when I can. And a pretty star-studded series of Avengers Titan Hero figures have begun hitting stores this week, including Dr. Doom, Hawkeye and the Falcon!

Marvel Titan Heroes Falcon and Iron Man Released

The character selection for the 12″ Titan Hero action figures series has been pretty unexceptional up until now, as until this summer it has consisted entirely of Marvel characters in the top-tier of popularity such as Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man.

Luckily, things have just gotten a whole lot more interesting on the Hasbro Titan Heroes front. Yesterday I discussed some of the just-released non-Peter Parker Spider-Man Titan Hero figures, and today I found all four of the new-release Avengers Assemble Titan Hero figures!

Marvel Titan Hero Falcon and Dr. Doom 12" Action FiguresThis series includes a Titan Hero Iron Man 12″ figure, which is fine, what with Iron Man being ridiculously popular right now and all. But the other three figures in the set are far more interesting.

Hawkeye Titan Hero Hasbro 12" Action Figure ReleasedFirst, we’ve got the 12″ Dr. Doom Titan Hero figure! I believe this is the very first villain Hasbro has released as part of the Marvel Titan Heroes line. Because Doom doesn’t require a lot of paint deco in the first place, nor is a lot of ninja-like articulation necessary for the character, this is one of my favorite Titan Hero figures released (that doesn’t come in packaging with a Guardians of the Galaxy logo on it).

Hasbro Titan Heroes Hawkeye Figure Box BackNext up we have the Titan Hero Hawkeye figure. I hated this figure the moment I first saw the prototype, and I still do. To me, this looks like some sort of anorexic zombie Hawkeye, and probably the very worst Titan Hero Hasbro has released so far.

Marvel Titan Hero Hawkeye and Dr. Doom FiguresFinally, we come to the Titan Hero Falcon. I love that Hasbro is giving us a character that’s usually considered secondary, and Falcon’s simple color scheme translates really well to the Marvel Titan Heroes form.

What do you think of this new foursome of 12″ Marvel Titan Hero action figures, Marvel collectors? Will any of these value-priced toys be joining your (or your kid’s) collection this summer?

  1. Want some villains? Target has a 4-pack with Spidey, Green Goblin, Venom, and blue Electro. Looks nice, except Venom looks way too skinny.

  2. Im tired off all the Iron Man figures… Hes my favorite character and im just sick and tired of it all. Bout time we get villians! Get it together HASBRO.
Cant have a hero without a villian.

  3. I like this line. I have Iron Man, Capt. America, Hulk, Thor, Star-Lord and Rocket Racoon displayed in my man cave. I’m looking forward to getting Falcon, Wolverine and Dr. Doom soon. They are good looking and inexpensive.

  4. My Target has Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Iron Spider, Wolvie Brown/Tan Repaint, Doom, Hawkeye and two box sets. One is similar to the large ($49.99) set they released a year ago. That set had 2 exclusive Iron Mans this has “Armored Spider-Man) as it’s exclusive. Also saw the Spider enemies set (Goblin looks good).

I was collecting these at first (as well as Mashers) both collections went to my 5 yr old nephew. I decided to concentrate only on “mature” toys. Like 3/3/4 Marvel U’s and Legends:)

  5. Oh and also the uh…Mini Mates and Legos. But I display them in an “age appropriate” fashion!

  6. Do you know if they’re going to release Groot to go along with Rocket? My 6-year-old son looks for him every time with no luck yet…

    • Hasbro wasn’t expecting Guardians of the Galaxy to be a huge success, so they didn’t have any further Titans planned. Given how popular GOTG turned out to be, however, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see Titan Groot and Drax in 2015. No sooner, though.
