Spider-Man Marvel Legends Rhino Series Case Ratios & Pre-Order!

I’ve already talked about the Marvel Legends Ant-Man Series and Avengers Wave 3 figures that went up for pre-order this week, so it won’t shock anyone that it’s time to move on to the last currently known (but not last to be released) Marvel Legends 2015 series: the Marvel Legends Spider-Man Rhino Build-A-Figure Series is now up for pre-order! And believe it or not, none of the eight figures that comprise this series is named “Spider-Man”!

Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man Wave 3 Case Ratios

In a year that has at least three Avengers Marvel Legends waves in it, I’m a little bit stunned that my favorite Hasbro Marvel Legends series of the year turns out to be Spider-Man based, but that’s just what has occurred with this awesome Rhino Build-A-Figure wave!

There’s literally something for everybody in this series: White Tiger for Ultimate Spider-Man fans, Superior Venom for modern Marvel comic book fans, Scarlet Spider for 90’s fans (and who doesn’t love the Clone Saga, right?!), Kraven and Chameleon for classic fans, and even Misty Knight and Ghost Rider to expand the breadth of Hasbro Marvel Legends!

Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider Figure PackagedThere is only one action figure in this series that is (sort of) a Peter Parker and Spider-Man, so I don’t think it will be a revelation to anyone that the Marvel Legends Scarlet Spider figure is the sole double-packed action figure in this wave.

Looking at the rest of the assortment, I think that the dear, departed Ben Reilly Scarlet Spider is definitely the best choice to heavy-pack, so I’ve got nada complaints about that selection (in fact, this is my second-favorite Spider-Man costume ever, so I’m outright thrilled that he’ll be easy to get).

Marvel Legends Spider-Man Rhino Series Case RatiosThe 2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Wave 2 case ratios are as follows:

  • (2) Scarlet Spider
  • (1) Chameleon
  • (1) Kraven the Hunter
  • (1) Ghost Rider
  • (1) Misty Knight
  • (1) White Tiger
  • (1) Superior Venom

Marvel Legends Chameleon Figure PackagedOne of the highlights of this series for me is definitely the “Savage Force” Marvel Legends Chameleon figure–the first time that Hasbro has produced a Chameleon action figure. Despite being the villain featured in Amazing Spider-Man #1, poor Chameleon just does not get the merch that he deserves. But at last, he’ll be getting his due this summer!

Not only will Chameleon come with the left arm of Rhino, but he’ll also include three guns and alternate heads for J. Jonah Jameson and Hammerhead. Want you own Marvel Legends J. Jonah Jameson or Hammerhead figure? Here you go–Hasbro is serving it up for you on a silver platter!

Marvel Legends Misty Knight Figure Packaged

Unlike the Marvel Legends Hulkbuster BAF series, you won’t need to buy all seven figures to get the part to build the Marvel’s Rhino Build-A-Figure. Only five of the figures in this series include unique Rhino pieces, with Rhino’s body coming with two different characters (who, oddly enough, are not same-named swap variants in the assortment).

Both the Marvel Legends White Tiger figure and the Marvel Legends Misty Knight figure (called “Heroes for Hire” on her package) will include the Rhino body. The new 2015 Marvel Legends Ghost Rider figure is the other figure bearing the “Heroes for Hire” name, but he comes with the Rhino right leg instead of the body (for whatever reason). So if you want the Marvel Legends Rhino but not one of the obscure females, you can safely skip White Tiger or Misty Knight.

Marvel Legends Ghost Rider Figure PackagedThe Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Series Rhino Build-A-Figure Wave is now available for order, and is expected to be released in July 2015. I’ll post an update here and on our Facebook Page once Amazon posts individual figures up for ordering, but for now you can pre-order sets and cases at BBTS and full cases with free shipping from EE. I can see this series being a strong seller at retail, so online may be the best to go for this wave.

Sound off, Spidey lovers! Are you planning on hunting some or all of this latest wave of Spider-Man related Hasbro characters at retail, ordering the whole set online, or skipping this assortment altogether?

Spider-Man Marvel Legends Rhino Series Case Ratios & Pre-Order! — 24 Comments

  1. Chameleon should have been the double packed figure. I am pretty sure most people would pick up two just to have a JJJ or Hammerhead figure.

  2. I would gladly trade those extra Scarlet Spider hands for an alternate head with the hood up.

I’m getting Scarlet Spider and Superior Venom. I’ll skip the rest.

    • Whaat… skip the rest?

Im all about alternate heads! Would of blown my mind to get a Scarlet Spider unmasked.
J.J.J. was an obvious choice, but not Hammerhead. Chameleon doesnt have the right body type to pull it off!

      • I’m pretty poor atm so justifying the purchase of just two from the wave to my wife is more than a challenge. Once I’m in a better spot financially I’ll try to pick up a few more.

  3. I’m just going for the Superior Venom, Ghost Rider and Scarlet Spider figures for sure

  4. I was SUPER WORRIED we were gonna get double thwip-hands for Ben (*shakes fist at Spider-Girl figure* CURSE YOU HASBRO) but it seems like my concerns were unfounded!

Aw man I’m so excited for this wave. This has been a great year for figures for me, I’m getting action figures of almost all my favorite Marvel characters. (Clint Barton, Carol Danvers, Ben Reilly, Janet Van Dyne.) Now all we need is an updated Deadpool for the movie.

    • I HATE those “hail satan” hands. I use a hair dryer to melt and reshape them, then dunk them in ice water (Dr. Strange, Spider-Girl, Ben Reilly Spider-Man from Ares wave).

      • I just want to say that I love the phrase “Hail Satan” hands. I’m using it from now on! =D

      • Your confusing the Spider-Man webbing trigger THWIP hand with the heavy metal rock and roll “devil’s horns” sign.

          • Mathematical errors present in WakeUp matrix. Because the numbers don’t support your conclusion. First there’s not enough sound fact to support whether or not Lee is Actually a Mason. Logic would also dictate that members of a secret society’s primary objective would be to keep the group a secret. It makes little sense to draw attention to oneself by flashing ostentatious hand signals. An iconic hand symbol out of pop culture that is world famous is a poor secret salute.
Actual Masons while secretive and each chapter operating independently of another, are philanthropist, perform charity work and tend to worship a monotheistic benevolent deity. I.e. the Judeo-Christian God. No Satan worshipping. Your math is fuzzy. ☺
            Happy collecting,friend.

          • Bro hail satan is with the thumb down. It’s how the satanic baphomet does it. The spider man thwip is hand signal for love. However yes, doctor strange and scarlet witch do use satanic hand signal.

  5. Rhino looks bad ass… its cool he comes with two heads. Pre ordered 2 of the 3 waves.
Bring on the female figures! Im so glad villains are getting some love! ‘Bout time

  6. Excited about the Misty Knight figure but what good is having her if there’s no Colleen Wing? or I should get it so Hasbro knows they should make on of her partner?

  7. I’m no marketing genius, but I don’t understand why they use “Savage Force” and “Heroes for Hire”, etc. instead of the actual characters names. Anyone understand the logic?

    • I’ve always assumed that it’s to save money on packaging for the swap/running change figures without cluttering the names.

  8. Me encanta esta serie tambien !!!! Kraven se merecia una version buena para suplantar la ridicula anterior… camaleon wow armas..cabezas..exelente esta wave tiene de todo me encanta….sobre todo que no hay un spiderman rondando en ella

  9. I am incredibly excited for this wave. White Tiger and Misty Knight are jewels that I am excited for; Chameleon is a truly excellent action figure; Rhino looks good; Scarlet Spider and Kraven are solid. I’m probably just going to eBay for the limbs that come with Ghost Rider and Superior Venom, but the rest of this wave is to die for.

  10. NOW ! These are 21.99 @ TRU What a world ! They must of had a chat with Amazon about the ANT-MAN Wave. Then raised the prices on the figures to compete. Some B.S. I guess this wave is truly the BEST WAVE of 2015 !!
