Funko Carnage & Anti-Venom POP Vinyls Revealed & Photos!

Ordinarily, nothing on Earth would stop me from immediately talking about two newly-revealed Marvel Funko POP Vinyls–especially when one of those POPs happens to be among the most-requested characters ever for the line. But as it turns out, my being in the E.R. for 9 hours yesterday falls outside the realm of “ordinary”. Alas. Regardless, two sure-to-be best-sellers have now been revealed: the Funko Carnage and Anti-Venom POP Vinyls!

Funko Carnage POP Vinyls Figure

As soon as we saw the first images released of the Walgreens exclusive Venom Funko POP in the winter, fans began to speculate on when we would see Venom’s equally (if not more) popular spawn, Carnage, joining the collection. And while it’s taken a mite longer than I had been anticipating, the Funko POP Vinyls Carnage figure is now on the way!

Carnage recently turned up in Gamestop’s database as an upcoming mass-release vinyl figure, but the images of Carnage leaked over the weekend confirm him. I’m not at all thrilled that Carnage is a straight-up repaint of Venom, though, as Carnage typically does not have his tongue extended out in the manner that Venom–and this mold–do.

Funko Anti-Venom POP Vinyls FigureMeanwhile, after a listing for a Funko Glow-in-the-Dark Anti-Venom POP Vinyl exclusive figure had been floating around in the Gamestop database for several months, the regular version of Eddie Brock’s short-lived (and insane) identity finally has appeared.

Unlike Carnage, neither known version of Anti-Venom will be a mass-released Funko POP in the United States. The regular version of Anti-Venom will be a Hot Topic exclusive in the US, with the aforementioned Glow in the Dark variant being exclusive to Gamestop stores.

The teeth on the prototype box seem to be botched–they should be black, not white–but the figure itself appears to be accurate.

Funko Marvel Collector Corps Villains Box

There had been a lot of people speculating (or at least hoping) that one of these characters was going to be one of the two exclusive POP Vinyls in the Marvel Collector Corps Villains Box (the deadline to get in on ordering that box is 10/18, by the way–don’t miss it), but with Funko having confirmed that at least one of the POPs in the box was going to be a 100% new mold, I had a hunch it wasn’t going to be either of these symbiotes.

If I had to make a guess as to the characters in the October Collector Corps Villains box, I would say that the repaint will be a Metallic or Glow-in-the-Dark Venom, with the new mold being a Funko Green Goblin POP Vinyl figure. I could certainly be wrong, but those are my best guesses. We’ll find out later this month for sure, though!

Carnange Funko POP Vinyl Figure PackagedThere are no official U.S. release dates announced for the Carnage and Anti-Venom Funko POP Vinyls at this time, but both figures are expected to be released in Q4 2015 (with both Anti-Venoms only being available at the individual stores that have them as exclusives).

What do you think of the two latest Funko Marvel POP Vinyls to released, Marvel collectors? Will either of the regular releases of these figures (or the GITD Anti-Venom) be joining your collection this winter, or do you have no space for straight-up Venom repaints in your home?
