If there’s one thing we can count on like clockwork, it’s a new Black Widow Hot Toys sixth scale figure being released for every Marvel movie Scarlett Johansson appears in. But what definitely isn’t orthodox is Sideshow putting a new figure up for order in the middle of the night–which is just what happened in this instance! The MMS 365 Hot Toys Civil War Black Widow is now up for order, and it just may be her best figure ever!

Well, here’s a crazy surprise to kick off the week! While we’ve known since December 2015’s Toy Soul event that a Hot Toys Captain America: Civil War Black Widow 1/6, we didn’t know exactly when HT was planning to put her up for order until last night, when the official photos of Black Widow were posted right around midnight.

And then, minutes later, Sideshow Collectibles put MMS365 Black Widow up for order… in the middle of the night. Well… that’s a first!

Of course, while an unexpected pre-order is certainly exciting, it’d be for naught if the figure in question wasn’t worthwhile. Luckily, this Black Widow is a beauty!

Up until now, my absolute favorite Black Widow Movie Masterpiece Series figure has been the Winter Soldier version. But two years later, Hot Toys has finally developed a better head sculpt (by sculptor Yulli) with a stronger Scarlett Johansson likeness, which I think is inarguably the best likeness to the actress we’ve ever seen in toy form.

And unlike the Age of Ultron costume, this version of Black Widow isn’t hindered by those bizarre neon blue “Tron” lines on the costume that so many collectors abhorred.

We’re also getting the best variety of accessories ever with a Black Widow MMS included with this figure: dual pistols, two batons, two Widow’s Bite bracelets, interchangeable hands, extended and retracted nightsticks and a figure stand. What a great haul!

Plus–!! I don’t know what he’s got to do with Natasha, but a mini Ant-Man figure in an all-new crouching pose mold is also included here. I’d love to see these mini Ant-Man figures included with lots of characters!

Sweetening the deal further, despite the new head sculpt and heaps of accessories, Hot Toys has lowered the price of the Civil War Black Widow compared to last year’s Age of Ultron version! $219.99 may not be cheap by any standards, but it’s always encouraging to see top-tier high-end companies lowering prices for improved products. Bravo.

The Hot Toys Civil War Black Widow sixth scale figure is now up for order, and is expected to be released in September 2016. With the AOU Black Widow still having not sold out after a year, I’ll be curious to see if Hot Toys greatly reduces the number of Black Widow Civil War sixth scale figures they produce (although I suspect the demand is going to be far greater for this iteration).
