Back in March, Hot Toys launched pre-orders for their New Avengers Scarlet Witch Movie Promo figure, and it was–in no uncertain terms–a blockbuster hit, selling out in under 12 hours (the fastest sell-out time for a female Hot Toys figure ever). So it should come as a shock to no one that Hot Toys has decided to fully complete Team Cap with their latest sixth scale figure: the Hot Toys Civil War Scarlet Witch MMS figure is now up for order!

Last month I reviewed the Age of Ultron Scarlet Witch 1/6th scale figure, which I ended up loving a whole lot more than I expected to. Owning that version and also having the limited edition New Avengers Scarlet Witch Movie Promo figure pre-ordered, I thought I was pretty set as far as sixth scale Scarlet Witch figures go in my collection.

And then I saw Captain America: Civil War and fell in love with the MCU character of Wanda Maximoff, and I knew I’d be adding a third iteration to my home. And lo and behold, a few weeks later, she has appeared!

The best place to begin is probably with a comparison of the sold-out Movie Promo Scarlet Witch and the Civil War version, which are far more different than I think many folks realize.

I love the closed vest, lacey undershirt and red detailing on the boots of the New Avengers Scarlet Witch, so I’ve got zero regrets about buying her. Even so, the cape-like longer jacket, necklace and red gloves of CW Scarlet Witch are also excellent costuming features that set her apart enough that I don’t mind having her as well!

Super-cool feature: Wanda’s coat has a wire in it for infinite posing opportunities! I love it when wires are incorporated into capes and long jackets like this! This is gonna be a lot of fun to work with!

And yes, that’s right–much like the Civil War Black Widow and Hawkeye figures before her, Wanda will be packed with a unique Hot Toys Mini Ant-Man figure! This time, the 2.5 cm Ant-Man figure is captured in a running pose. I love these, and frankly wish we were getting a miniature Ant-Man with every Civil War figure.

At a glance, I really thought that HT had developed a newly-sculpted Elizabeth Olsen head for this Scarlet Witch sixth scale figure, but upon closer inspection, it’s just a new paint job on the old head.

I actually prefer the paint as seen on the first two uses of this head sculpt, but I trust that Hot Toys will (hopefully) perfect the paint on Wanda before she hits production.

While the specs only mention two effects pieces being packed in with Wanda, there’s a slightly blurry image of a third, new effects piece (similar to Black Widow’s) pictured as well. These hex spell effects are a blast, so I’m excited that we may be getting another one for more diverse posing opportunities.

Wanda also includes a figure stand and seven pairs of interchangeable hands (including several of the translucent pink-fingered hands that I think are just the coolest).

The Hot Toys Civil War Scarler Witch sixth scale figure is now up for order, and is scheduled to be released in (very) late 2016. Since the head sculpt is recycled and only the costume is new here, I wouldn’t be too shocked to see this figure’s released bumped forward to fall and released early, however.
