A combination of being super-sick and super-busy has left me super-behind on covering the latest Marvel Hot Toys news from the past couple of days, but now it’s time to catch up on some of the biggest Hot Toys announcements in quite some time. While many toy and collectible companies are quieting down now and keeping their upcoming products under wraps until the New York Toy Fair 2015 in February, Hot Toys is closing out 2014 in a huge way–with the impending debuts of the heavily-demanded Hot Toys Ultron, Hot Toys Thanos and Hot Toys Hulkbuster Iron Man sixth scale figures!

Wow, thanks to toy companies, it’s already been quite a week for Avengers Age of Ultron news (and the new trailer isn’t even out yet)! First Hot Toys reveals the beautiful Iron Man Mark 43 figure and LEGO reveals their half-dozen LEGO Avengers Age of Ultron sets yesterday, and now we know thanks to a Japanese magazine article that we’re poised to see several more Hot Toys Age of Ultron sixth scale figures later this week!

The Hot Toys Thanos, Ultron and Hulkbuster Iron Man figures are expected to debut this week either at the Toy Soul 2014 event itself or via pictures posted by Hot Toys themselves in advance of the event. I would assume that Hot Toys would want to post official, high-quality images of the figures before people start putting personally taken photos of Thanos and company at Toy Soul, but we at least won’t have to wait long to find out.

The 2014 Toy Soul event that the three just-announced Hot Toys Marvel figures (and possibly two more) are to be revealed at runs from December 19-21, 2014. To save you all the trouble of checking your calendars–that’s this Friday to Sunday, Marvel fans!

Hulkbuster Iron Man and Ultron were no-brainers to be included in the Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron lineup, but I definitely never anticipated them debuting before we even reach 2015! Given the immense size and complexity of the armor, I’d be stunned if the Hot Toys Hulkbuster Iron Man figure retails for a penny under $599.

Hot Toys has yet to disappoint me with an Iron Man figure, so I have every confidence that the Hulkbuster will be well worth whatever they charge for it (whether or not I’ll be able to afford it without eating boxes of Kraft for the entirety of 2015 is another matter). No word yet on if the Ultron shown will be Ultron Prime, Ultimate Ultron, an Ultron Drone, or some other iteration of Ultron, but as a robotic figure, I have no doubt that the Hot Toys Ultron will be a winner as well.

Meanwhile, the Thanos Hot Toys figure’s announcement is even more of a shocker. Thanos hasn’t done much in the Marvel movies besides sitting around in his floating chair–could Hot Toys be planning to produce a throne for Thanos (similar to the awesome chair that came with the Hot Toys Mandarin figure)? I sure hope so.

Speculation has begun that Thanos may come with the Infinity Gauntlet as an exclusive item, but that seems highly unlikely to me (seeing as how the Infinity Gauntlet hasn’t been constructed by Thanos yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and all). This is one of those “I’ll believe it when I see it” type of rumors.
