This particular figure is an unknown limited edition, but only 1400 were produced and distributed overseas, and those sold out instantly.

UPDATE: Sideshow Collectibles sold out of the Battle-Damaged Iron Man Mark VII within two hours of placing it up for pre-order. They are accepting wait list positions now, so there’s still a chance to get one if you act quickly.

The main features that set this Battle-Damaged Iron Man Mark VII apart from the regular Avengers Hot Toys Iron Man Mark VII Movie Masterpiece figure are the elaborate Chitauri base, the alternate Tony Stark head, the battle-damaged paint deco, and the additional repulsor-blast hands. This figure is expected to be a fast seller, so choose quickly if you want this one, as we have no idea how many (or few) Sideshow Collectibles has been able to acquire.

There was previously an Iron Man Mark II Movie Promo Hot Toys Battle-Damaged Iron Man Mark VI figure, and that figure has grown exponentially in value on the aftermarket (although this is a different figure, obviously). Speculators are out in full force and there’s been a lot of talk about this figure, and as a result this Battle Damaged Iron Man Mark VII Movie Promo figure is expected to be one of the fastest-selling Hot Toys figures ever.

Personally, I much prefer this Battle-Damaged version of the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark VII–I feel like the battle-damaged deco just adds a ton of extra life and personality to the figure. But of course, your opinions may vary!

This figure will have a retail price of $295 and is scheduled to ship in July 2013. You can order from Sideshow Collectibles right here. The standard Avengers version of the Iron Man Mark VII Hot Toys figure should arrive in the United States and ship out in late May 2013, so it will beat the battle-damaged version by about two months (and $45!).
