Marvelicious Toys Podcast: 2014 Year In Review Episodes!

I’m way more comfortable typing than I ever have been talking, so ordinarily I try to steer as far away from microphones and the like as possible. But there’s an exception to every rule, and there was one invitation to talk that I absolutely could not turn down–because it came from the hosts of my absolute favorite podcast, Marvelicious Toys! So to close out 2014 and ring in 2015, I joined Marjorie, Arnie, Justin and the crew to discuss the Marvel toys year in review and the year ahead on a pair of podcast episodes of Marvelicious podcast…

Marvelicious Toys Guardians of the Podcast Cover Issue 132

One of the high points of my toy collecting-related life (which is basically my whole life) was getting to watch the Star Wars Action News podcast taped live at Star Wars Celebration V in 2010.

But I topped that last month, when I was blessed with the opportunity to actually participate as a guest in two episodes of the Marvelicious Toys podcast 2014 Year-In-Review issues: Guardians of the Podcast Parts 1 & 2!

Marvelicious Podcast Issue 132 (December 24th, 2014)

First up, in Issue 132, the panel discusses the Marvel movies of 2014–Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Big Hero 6–and all of the toys and collectibles corresponding to those movies.

What did everyone think of the toys released for last year’s Marvel movies, and for that matter, what was everyone’s favorite Marvel film of 2014 (although I imagine people can guess mine easily enough)?

Marvelicious Podcast Issue 133 (January 8th, 2015)

In part 2 of “Guardians of the Podcast”, the roundtable discussion led by Arnie, Marjorie and Justin continued with a discussion of my favorite part of Marvel collecting: high-end collectibles! Bowen Designs, XM Studios, Kotobukiya, Sideshow Collectibles, Gentle Giant, and Hot Toys are all topics covered in this issue of Marvelicious Podcast.

In addition, the group discusses everyone’s favorite Marvel toy or collectible of 2014, as well as what each of us was looking forward to most in 2015!

Marvelicious Toys LogoI haven’t gotten up the nerve to listen to the two episodes myself yet (hearing my own voice always freaks me out), but I know from participating in both recordings that they’re fun and entertaining episodes. Check them out at MarveliciousToys.com for something to listen to during your daily commute or just for some evening relaxation–you won’t be disappointed!

And while we’re on the subject, what were your favorite Marvel collectibles of 2014, and what are you most looking forward to in 2015, Marvel fans?
