Revoltech Revolmini War Machine Figure Photos & Order Info

A couple months back, Kaiyodo announced the upcoming release of the first Marvel character (and third character overall) in their Revoltech Revolmini line of 4″ micro Revoltech figures: the Revol Mini Iron Man Mark VI from “Iron Man 2”. Fast forward a few months and a multitude of non-Marvel Revolmini announcements later, and Kaiyodo has finally announced and opened pre-orders for the next Marvel Revoltech Micro figure: the Revol Mini War Machine figure is now available for order!

Revoltech Micro War Machine Action FigureEven though we’re a year past the release of the “Iron Man 3” movie, the most notable armors from “Iron Man 2” remain a popular choice for toy manufacturers developing new product. As such, Kaiyodo has opted to forgo “Iron Man 3” figures in their new micro Revoltech Mini figures line (for now) and focus on the main armors from that movie: first Iron Man Mark VI and now War Machine.

While the Iron Man Revoltech Mini figures are in a size and scale unfamiliar to classic Revoltech collectors, they’re still some mighty fine looking action figures with 18 points of articulation, and Kaiyodo hasn’t skimped on the accessories.

Alongside his trademark shoulder-mounted machine gun, the Revolmini War Machine will include four alternate hands, arm cannons, blast effects pieces, a figure display stand, and an extra stand to support War Machine’s arm when the blast effects are attached to it.

But while Kaiyodo has been actively producing new “Iron Man 3” Revoltech figures since last year, it doesn’t seem they’re too keen on moving into the “Iron Man 3” movie realm with the Revol Mini figure line (at least, not right now).

That’s a pretty hefty price for a 4″ action figure, especially when it’s of a character that has had some pretty great figures in that scale released domestically in the past half-decade.

To be totally honest, the Kaiyodo Revoltech Micro figure line is a bit rich for my blood right now for figures of this size. I really like many of the standard-sized Revoltech Iron Man figures that have been released, but the 4″ Revolmini figures have less articulation and are overall too expensive to me compared to the outstanding 4″ Hasbro Iron Man 2 figures that were released to coincide with that movie a few years ago.

At $40+ after shipping for figures that aren’t really a huge upgrade over figures I already have in the same scale, the Mini Revoltech War Machine and Iron Man Mark VI just aren’t on my “must buy” list (though I can see where collectors who specialize in 4″ figures would definitely be enticed by these).

There’s no major distributor of Kaiyodo Revoltech figures in the United States, so if you want this figure domestically, you’re most likely going to have to order it from an online retailer.
