A couple months ago Hasbro revealed the first series of their new 4″ Avengers Assemble figure line, which included most of the core characters, but left out certain other high-profile members of the Avengers. Fans had panicked flashbacks to past superhero lines that were cancelled without the teams being completed. Luckily, that’s not going to be the case with this cartoon-based Avengers Assemble action figure line. Avengers Assemble Series 2 will contain all the team members necessary to complete the team, and even has one of the best case ratios I’ve ever seen!

Earlier this summer, Hasbro released the first series of Avengers Assemble cartoon action figures, including: Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, The Falcon and Red Skull. While this was a very strong initial assortment, there was still rampant fear of not getting the last crucial members of the cast–Hawkeye, Thor and Nick Fury–due to line cancellation or poor case ratios.

Well, now we can officially put all of those fears to rest! Online retailers have received the official solicitations for the Series 2 Avengers Assemble figures cases from Hasbro, and they reveal all three of the most critical characters that were missing, as well as a new villain: the Leader!

Moreover, the ratios for the Avengers Assemble Series 2 cases are absolutely fantastic. Have no fear about old, carryover figures like Iron Man or Captain America taking up valuable spots in Series 2–this case assortment will be composed entirely of the four new figures, with no old figures carrying forward!

Avengers Assemble Series 2 is scheduled to be released in September 2013, and you can order a set of all four new figures from BigBadToyStore for just $39.99. There are also full case assortments of Avengers Assemble Series 2 if you want multiples of each figure, but the set of four contains all four figures and is such a good deal that there’s not much incentive to buy a case.
