Avengers Marvel Legends Target 3-Pack! Vision Ultron Hulk!

Despite the fact that the remnants of last year’s Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Radioactive Man three-pack are being cleared out for half-price now, that figures set was considered by Target to be a big success overall. And so, this year Target will be receiving an Avengers Marvel Legends three-pack–and it’s a good one! Coming to Target later this year: Marvel Legends Vision, Ultron and Hulk figures!

Marvel Legends 2015 Vision Target Exclusive Figure

Target Exclusive Marvel Legends White Vision Figure

Other than the Marvel Legends Radioactive Man figure in last year’s pack, I wasn’t all that enamored with the 2014 Marvel Legends Target Exclusive three-pack. But this year’s pack? This year’s pack is nice.

First off, we’ve got a variant that I can’t recall ever seeing done before by any toy manufacturer: the white Vision from the 80’s and 90’s West Coast Avengers days! This is the classic Vision design from when I was growing up (and from the awful, awful NES Avengers video game), and a version of Marvel Legends Vision that I never thought would get produced by a major toy company. I love that we are finally getting this well-known, major variation of the Vision.

The pack is rounded out by two kit-bashed figures that the Marvel collecting world seems a bit divided on. One is a new version of Marvel Legends Ultron, built using an Ultron head on a repainted Marvel Legends Ultimate Beetle body. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about this Ultron figure, but I think he looks like a great modern Ultron action figure.

Finally, the set contains a Marvel Legends Doc Green Hulk figure, based off of Hulk’s appearance in the first few issues of the current Hulk comic book. Would mohawk Hulk have been cooler? Probably–but development on this Marvel Legends Hulk figure’s head likely took place well before that change in Hulk’s hairstyle occurred in the comics. Regardless, I think this is a decent Hulk figure and I certainly won’t cringe at getting him as the third figure in this set.

Avengers Legends Target 3 Pack Hulk Figure Exclusive

Like last year’s Target Marvel Legends pack, I’d expect to see this Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Vision/Ultron/Hulk pack retail for $49.99 in stores, and go on clearance for far less a month or two after release.

What do you think of this year’s Target Exclusive Marvel Legends Avengers three-pack, Marvel fans? Is this a pack you’re willing to shell out fifty smackers for, or are you wary of buying a Target Marvel Legends exclusive pack for full price after last year’s Ms. Marvel/Radioactive Man/Captain America set went on a huge clearance?

Avengers Marvel Legends Target 3-Pack! Vision Ultron Hulk! — 30 Comments

  1. I have to say this is disappointing, they are putting ultron on the beetle body, a new hulk head on the aou hulk and the vision I like. The Ultron head is nice though

    • New head on pre-existing body is essentially the modus operandi for the line. At least Ultron isn’t on an Iron Man body, and I say that its good use of the otherwise difficult to re-use Beetle mold.

    • Your imagination got you this far, keep using it! It behooves you to let a little knowledge and wisdom drive fanatsy as well. Like the current storyline that Rukkus filled us in on this thread. In addition if you find a better body for Ultron that works for you,use it!
I bought spares of the 1st Tgt 3 pack when they went on clearance. I have Red Skull head on a Cap body.-there was a story where the skull had taken the supersolider formula-so it works. I may paint and use minor sculpting to make Radioactive Man into a Blue Marvel..or Forgotten One?
Ms.Marvel is going to be Enchantress, Polaris, Dark Phoenix,Monica Marvel,Binary or idk??? Infinite possibilities.. lol. You know that Ultron head may work on the marvel now Vision w/ a little silver paint?
Beetle works for me as Ultron prime. I am not a fan of movie Ultron, but the character has many permutations and in-story it is constantly upgrading itself,so I am not gonna pass up a 9″ BAF! The cup is not just half-full, it is filling up,overflowing and spilling over, capt! Marvel toy Fans,Rejoice! 😀

  2. Me encantó vision … comparto lo de ultron .. es el cuerpo del escarabajo .. me gustaria que a hulk le pusieran botas y la armadura para que fuera la version marvel now

  3. This Hulk may replace my old ToyBiz Hulk Classics “Smart Hulk” in my Legacy Avengers lineup, I like the head sculpt a lot. Its mad, but not raging mad. This says “Hulk smash as part of cohesive team.”

    • Doc Green has a mohawk in the comics and doesn’t wear “Avengers” pants-really not happy with this Hulk just a cheap throw together!

      • This was his hairstyle prior to cutting into a mohawk. Check the last issue of Hulk vs Iron Man and Hulk #5. And he DOES wear those kinds of trousers now, and even if he didn’t, he isn’t wearing ripped pants right now.

  4. Wow! It’s obvious some of you just “collect” without even knowing what you’re “collecting” exactly. It sure doesn’t stop you from complaining before facts are uncovered however. The reason the Hulk doesn’t have ripped purple pants is because this is Doc Green. If you don’t know who that is (which proves my point by the way), it’s the latest incarnation of the Hulk as a result of him being shot in the head (as Bruce Banner), then healed with the Extremis virus (maybe you know what THAT is because of Iron Man 3, ALSO proving my point). He’s now super intelligent or (as he puts it) “the smartest one there is”.

Also, I’d like to know what the big deal is about Hasbro reusing molds if they work?!? I haven’t seen a bad reuse of the Bucky Cap mold yet. Or is it the “principle of the thing”, and people just want to complain while buying the figures anyway?

    • I beg to differ, the problem with the hulk is that they are essentially just giving us the exact same hulk as aou with a new head, at least sculpt new pants, a classic hulk is due, the movie hulk could pretty much stand in for modern hulk so why not give collectors a much needed classic look instead. We collect what we like, unfortunately we all want diff things therefore someone will always end up disappointed. No one is attacking anyone they are just voicing their opinions towards the figure itself. What I find amusing is how when someone makes a comment expressing their dislike in a figure you have these self entitled fan boys who instantly lash out at the person making the comment and making more of a personal attack the the the comments op. That’s what I call immaturity, but hey, these are grown men who actually open toys and okay with them so who am I kidding, ( I’m a moc collector btw).

        • There are 6 classic Hulks out from Toybiz and Hasbro combined. This doesn’t include the various Hulk lines that Toybiz came out with independent of Marvel Legends. One of the biggest complaints complainers have is the rehashing of the same characters. They do this when the character gets a redo with a new or updated costume. Stands to reason they would raise the roof off if (yet) another Hulk in ripped trousers would come out. If another version of the Hulk is needed, it’s the Marvel Now!/Indestructible Hulk. This got skipped over. And I beg to differ with YOU. All throughout these threads are attacks; on Hasbro of all things! There have been Hasbro cuss outs from people who have stated the company is attempting to screw them over. Is that not an “attack”? Calling people “fan boys” is an attack since the term seems to have negative connotations. Oh and grown azz men who complain about toys (which BOTTOM LINE this is what they are) is the staple of immaturity. And whether someone opens them up or leaves them in their cards and boxes makes no difference. We’re still adults buying toys that state “for 4+”! One isn’t better than the other (which is how it sounded).

          • Yeah! Bring the ruckus! Bring the fuddruckin RUKKUS!! That’s what I’m taking about!
            Hahahaha!…

          • What I don’t understand is when people keep asking for classic costumes without understanding the bigger picture.

Marvel’s aim right now is synergy. Between ALL platforms. Comics, toys, movies, cartoons, public awareness.

If Iron Man gets a black/gold toy, well… it’s because that’s how he looks in the comics (or did, when they were making the mold, deciding what to produce lol)

And when they say “awhhh man, ANOTHER captain america?!” what people don’t get is that every year, babies are born, kids are one year older, and a new gen of people keep being introduced to the Marvel Universe.

Some of them have never bought a marvel figure before. Guess who their first one will be? The one they know of! Cap, Iron Man, Wolverine!

So the reason they’re in every single ****ing wave is because they’re the hook. Get em to buy the first one, and more than likely they’ll get more and more.

If we only had one captain america figure every 3 years, it’s not helping gain more customer/fan base for their business.

            People need to realize this.

That would have been cool for Hulk to have that shoulder pad **** he had in his marvel universe scale..but I haven’t read avengers **** for over a year… so i’m not sure what’s going with that tech.

  5. I guess the Vision is movie version, or maybe the classic version. But since it would be included in another set with its Marvel NOW! design, which is similar to the class one, i bet for the movie design.

Ultra looks really good despite the beetle body.

A bit disappointed with Hulk. Looks equal to the Avengers Series 2 one, but with different head.

  6. I’ll pick this up if it plummets in price like that Ms Marvel, Cap and Radioactive Man 3-pack did.

  7. Looks okay, and I will probably buy it if it goes on sale because I really only like the Ultron here, the other two have kinda ugly combos of sculpt and paint if you ask me.

  8. I’m definitely buying this. I don’t have a Hulk, Ultron, or Vision yet. I’m going to skip the current Hulk and the upcoming green/yellow Vision to get this instead. I prefer this Ultron to the movie Ultron.

  9. After being gone for months, target.com has put last years 3-pack back up on its website (none actually for sale). I think this is a sign that they’re going to use the same DPCI for this years set and perhaps these are coming soon.
