Avengers Marvel Legends Amazon Exclusive 4-Pack!

Did you think that Hasbro was going to just release “The Big Three” (Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man Mark 43) as their sole Avengers: Age of Ultron Marvel Legends movie figures? …Well, I sure did! But–surprise! As it turns out, Hasbro actually does has plans to get “new” figures of the rest of the movie Avengers Marvel Legends figures out at retail and into collectors’ hands–as an Amazon exclusive! Coming to Amazon later this year–a Marvel Legends Avengers 4-Pack of Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor and Bruce Banner!

Avengers Marvel Legends Amazon Exclusive 4 Pack Thor Black Widow Banner HawkeyeAmazon Exclusive Marvel Legends Avengers Age of Ultron Figures 4-Pack

Well, I’ll be. Let me be the first to admit that I was wrong. I really had zero confidence in Hasbro getting 6″ Marvel Legends Avengers Age of Ultron figures out of the “secondary” Avengers like Black Widow and Hawkeye, and even less belief that we’d get a 6″ Mark Ruffalo Bruce Banner figure. And yet–here we are!

These are obviously not “all-new” figures, as they recycle a lot of preexisting Marvel Legends 6″ action figure tooling. Even so, it’s pretty surreal to be able to buy a Hasbro Marvel Legends Bruce Banner Mark Ruffalo figure! And let’s face it–it’s not like stores have Black Widow or Hawkeye Marvel Legends figures falling off the shelves either. This is a fantastic set that should sell very, very well. Thumbs up, Hasbro (and Amazon for taking this set on).

Are you happy to have the remainder of the Avengers Age of Ultron team members released (albeit not as totally new figures), or were you perfectly content with the small selection of movie Marvel Legends Avengers figures that Hasbro put into the regular Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series waves?

  1. It looks like Black Widow is mostly a repaint of the Mandroid wave Scarlet Johanssen. I’m comparing my figure to the pictured figure and they have the same costume–except for the knee caps and the brighter paintjob with blue lines in the image. Can anyone tell for certain?

    • Her lower torso is different, I believe. It definitely lacks the layered look of the original. Although I’m pretty sure it’s from the recent Maria Hill. Maybe her hands are new–I think I see a hinge and the gloves seem smoothed out to represent a full cover rather than the fingerless of the original.

  2. No me gustan …. me quedo con black widow y la buena idea de ver a bruce banner .. pero creo que para los fans de las figuras de pelis se van a vender bien

  3. Yeah most movie figs are for the birds!! I like the Thor that’s about it but I’m va completist so more $ for hasbro I guess. Btw have u seen some of the stuff they’re showing off at the NY toy fair? Massive Hulk Buster baf for Avengers wave 3 and a nice looking Rhino (classic) baf for Spidey wave 2! Along w countless other cool figs. If u haven’t checked the pics out yet I advise u to do so! We might be looking at close to 60 Legends this year! Just glad I haven’t seen an army builders yet, it’s gonna be hard enough as is if you’re a completist like I am.

  4. Only thing crap is the nonsensical trash a toy is crap just cause its basic on a movie makes logic level -50.

  5. I don’t feel so bad now not thinking they would make more figures ha got into a discussion with a friend a week or so before and I was insistent that Hasbro woudnt make a Hulkbuster, etc.

Glad someone else felt the same ha

  6. I’m super excited about these figures. I have an issue with the Black Widow though. It’s great that they’re giving her weapons this time, but there is no way in hell they’ll stay in her hands if they keep her with the trigger fingers.

    • Agreed, these seem *very* rough. If Amazon puts out exclusive content of low quality, they’ll learn the same lesson Toys’R’Us learned from the X-Men box set. Poor paint = poor sales. The only people I know that bought that set pre-ordered it based on master paint models. Its hard to tell which way the paint apps on these will swing.

  7. Thor completely looks plastic especially his face and Hawkeye looks like a fake plastic toy, Bruce banner looks okay and as for black widow get rid of the holsters and her holster gripping arms and give her some new hands so she can hold those stick things. Also where’s Vision,Scarlet witch, and quicksilver we need their movie series action figures. No more demands for comic figures, where now in the Marvel cinematic universe we need more movie series figures!!We collectors must demand better and more movie series figures so hHasbro can stop making figures we don’t need like for build a figure hulkbuster I only need war machine and for build a figure ultron I only need Ant man and where’s yellow jacket we need a villian!! so that’s going to be a ton of my money waisted on comic series figures when I only collect movie figures! Please my fellow action figure collectors we need more movie series action figures!!!!!

    • Yeah… it’s sucks that these couldn’t have been released indivually (with the AOU Hulk, Cap and Iron Man figures)… each having an Ultron or Hulkbuster BAF piece. I wish they’d keep the movie and comicbook figures separate… there’s too many figures I don’t need/want – just to build the MOVIE Ultron or Hulkbuster.

  8. Look great, more redo figures instead of figures that still never been release yet like Marvel Legends Blade…let me know when Hasbro decide to make more African American figures than the white folks figures

  9. Might be totally off topic, but a lot of female comic geeks and girls are really upset the female Avengers are not available in toy stores. HASBRO doesn’t even advertise them on TV. I know for many kids its a big disappointment when they go to toystores and don’t see BE or SW with the other Avengers. I made about a petition to HASBRO and Disney only two days ago an it’s already got 3 thousand signatures on it.

    • I don’t know if that’s entirely fair. Hasbro has a 4″ Black Widow figure available at Toys R Us, and Scarlet Witch figures in 6″ form (comic-based) and 4″ form (movie-based) at all retailers. To be honest, Black Widow and Scarlet Witch fared much better than Vision and Quicksilver, who have gotten zero love thus far from Hasbro. I don’t think it’s a matter of Hasbro discriminating against women–I think it’s a matter of Hasbro not caring about any characters from the movie that weren’t Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America or Ultron.

      • Thanks for giving my comment consideration. This is the first time I’m on a site like this one and I’m a little nervous. Getting back to my comment: I know BW is available, but the male Avengers have 60 times more action figures than the female. (I researched it) Toy stores hardly carry any, if at all. And then there’s this interview with Keven S and Paul Dini that confirms the move is deliberate. They don’t want a female audience: http://io9.com/paul-dini-superhero-cartoon-execs-dont-want-largely-f-1483758317 Love to hear your thoughts. : )

        • Have you considered that the MCU versions of Vision and Quicksilver don’t have a single figure? Neither does Hawkeye, barring this one single exclusive. Neither does Falcon. It *probably* has something to do with buying patterns, product research, years of experience of selling comics and figures, and not because some suit at Marvel said “Oh you know what, let’s act like misogynists and not sell girls things”. Also, Paul Dini is largely a DC guy.

          • Hi, Eric,

Re: Paul Dini. Very true. Don’t get me wrong–it’s not Marvel I’m after. It’s Disney. They just bought Marvel and their marketing policy is to market their princesses to girls and Marvel to boys. BW is available as an amazon “exclusive.” Here’s something you might like to read from a former Marvel employee:

            http://www.themarysue.com/invisible-women/

And yesterday Clark Gregg posted my petition with the hashtag #WheresNatasha on his FB page. mark Ruffalo also tweeted about the lack of readily available female superhero action figures. Makes me feel that others who are more knowledgeable than myself feel there is something to my perspective. 41% of the audience for AofU was female. We like superheros too. The female superhero toys are made, but they are 60 times less available in stores. (That’s the fun when you’re a kid, isn’t it? Going to the toy store and seeing your fav hero in an action figure. And heaven help you if you go into the girls T-shirt section in a Target or Walmart. Everything is pink or has Elsa on it. Even the Avengers T-shirts don’t have BW. Anyway, thanks for letting me rant. : )

        • You’re exactly right. This is why they’ll most likely never have a Black Widow solo film, because the female characters are mostly window dressing as far as Disney is concerned. They bought Marvel to sell things to boys having locked up their female audiences with princess nonsense. It’s actually quite sad.

  10. Anyone know when these will be released yet? I just saw this today and have to have it.
