Avengers Marvel Legends Thanos Series Figures on Amazon!

It was a week ago today that Hasbro allowed online retailers to start taking pre-orders for the Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 Thanos Series of action figures. Because of the case-pack ratios (where four of the six figures are packed at one-per-case), the vast majority of stores are only selling full cases (or complete sets at a markup) of the Avengers Legends Wave 2 figures. But what if you just want a Marvel Legends BatrocĀ  Spider-Woman…? Have no fear: Amazon is now pre-selling all six Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 figures for about retail price and with free shipping!

Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 2 Batroc Figure PackagedAmazon is becoming the place to be for Marvel Legends collectors in 2015! Not only have they been offering the Marvel Legends Spider-Man Hobgoblin Wave on pre-order for retail prices–and also frequently restocking the rare Marvel Legends Avengers figures like Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel–but now they’ve gone ahead and listed the entire Avengers Marvel Legends Series 2 assortment online as well (before any United States retailers have even gotten their stock)!

As I’ve mentioned once or twice, I’m a bit OCD about getting my favorite characters in certain series without any quality-control issues, so I’ve been hoping to hunt down and snag extra Marvel Legends Hellcat and Spider-Woman figures when they hit retail.

Avengers Age of Ultron Marvel Legends Hulk Figure PackagedThankfully, now that won’t be an issue, as I’ve got one of each figure reserved now on Amazon to supplement the case that I previously ordered online. (If for some reason I get two figures that have QC issues, well… then I’m screwed. Them are the breaks.)

Marvel Legends Hellcat Figure Packaged with Thanos Head

There’s two sticking points that might bug people about this particular Marvel Legends Thanos Build-A-Figure Series pre-order: the “release date” (which almost certainly won’t be upheld–more on that in a moment) and the price.

Priced at $21.99 plus free shipping, these figures are about $2 above the MSRP Hasbro set for Marvel Legends 2015 figures. Even so, most folks are paying ~$1.40 tax–plus whatever time and gas they spend out driving around–looking for these figures. So Amazon ends up actually being the better deal in most cases.

Avengers Age of Ultron Marvel Legends Captain America Figure PackagedAdditionally, Amazon has set the “release date” for their Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series 2 figures as May 25, 2015. At a glance that date is pretty disappointing, since we know the figures are scheduled to start arriving in the United States in March.

That said, there is no hard release date for the Marvel Legends Thanos Build-A-Figure Series. So when Amazon gets their allotment in, they will start shipping it out–and that will most likely be long before May 25th.

Avengers Marvel Legends Spider-Woman Figure PackagedAll of the Avengers Marvel Legends Wave 2 figures are now available for pre-order on Amazon, although I would not be surprised to see the shortpacked figures like Marvel Legends Spider-Woman, Hellcat and Batroc selling out within a day or two. If all you want is Iron Man 43, however, I suspect you’re probably safe to wait a good, long time before ordering (re: he’s not going anywhere fast).

Anyone that refrained from previously pre-ordering their Avengers Legends Wave 2 Thanos Series figures decide to place an order now that every figure is available individually? If so, who’d you order for your near-future Marvel Legends collection?

Avengers Marvel Legends Thanos Series Figures on Amazon! — 8 Comments

  1. I kinda just want to get the Thanos BAF and this series isnt that great

    • Same here. I guessed you can get it on aftermarket loose figure but i bet they gonna mark it up in crazy.

  2. Put Batroc and the two females on order. That way I don’t have to run around town looking for them. Also ordered some Black Series figures. I’ll have to trade or pick up the other BAF Pieces on the cheap. My least anticipated wave of the year so far.

  3. I’ve never ordered anything of Amazon as fast as I just ordered that Spider-Woman. I canceled my Toywiz pre-order(saving myself some money going through Amazon instead). With all that said I’m still gonna hunt for that figure in stores, if I find it I’ll cancel that Amazon pre-order.

  5. Yeah. That’s what I did. Batroc and Hellcat. Hope I can find them in-store for less money first and then cancel my orders.

  6. is TRU allowing pre orders for this wave because its a husk to go to different stores in the U.S. (MAYS LANDING) and to find nothing whatsoever tho?

  7. Dabid, are you getting your Avengers figures from EE? I ask because we still haven’t gotten wave 1 in yet. I know they stated it was (for them) a March release, but considering wave 2 is an official March release, not to mention they’ve also announced they’re getting it March, I get the feeling they’re going to get both waves simultaneously. That’s gonna be a LOT of money for us preorderers!
