Marvel Legends 2015 Avengers Wave 1 Up on Amazon!

During the entire time that I’ve been running Marvel Toy News, I’ve never seen Marvel collectors quite so hyped up and excited for a new wave of action figures as they are for the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 1 figures. Because of the fact that all of the figures in this series are one-per-case except Hawkeye, fans not wanting to order a whole case have had to wait and rely on finding the figures in stores. But no longer–most of the Marvel Legends 2015 Avengers Wave 1 figures are now available individually on Amazon!

Marvel Legends Avengers Machine Man Figure Packaged Avenging Allies

When the case assortment for the Avengers Marvel Legends Infinite Series figures was announced, I was really pleased. As promised, Hasbro put all of the “swap” figures (Sentry/Machine Man and Captain Marvel/Scarlet Witch) in the same case assortment, and almost all of the figures were even-packed (with one extra Hawkeye, as there are seven figures in the Avengers Marvel Legends Wave 1 series, and eight figures in a case).

Of course, with all seven figures being required to build the Odin Build-A-Figure (or King Thor Build-A-Figure, if you swing that way), those wanting to build the Allfather(s) are now forced to buy up every figure in the case when it gets put out in stores (possibly even including the extra Hawkeye). As a result, Marvel Legends collectors wanting to cherry-pick just their favorites may have a rough time of things.

Avengers Marvel Legends Sentry Figure Avenging AlliesLuckily, while not many online retailers are offering individual figures from the Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series, Amazon is! All weekend long, Amazon has been posting and replenishing figures from this series. I didn’t bother to post about this earlier, as Amazon hadn’t stocked Machine Man and Iron Fist until today, but now the circle is complete!

2015 Marvel Legends Hawkeye Avengers Figure with Odin Build-A-Figure TorsoAs of writing, the Carol Danvers Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch Marvel Legends figures are both only available from third-party sellers scalping them for $40+, but I’ve seen both figures restocked multiple times this weekend. If all you’re looking for is the Marvel Legends Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch figures, just be diligent and don’t pay scalpers, and I’m confident everyone who wants one will be able to get those figures for their $20-$22 retail price.

Avengers Marvel Legends 2015 Iron Fist Figure Packaged with Odin Build-A-Figure LegMost of the Marvel Legends 2015 Avengers Wave 1 figures are now available for $21.99 with no tax and eligible for free shipping. This includes Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Machine Man, Thor and The Sentry (hopefully with Carol Danvers Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch reappearing soon at that price). Considering it costs $19.99 plus tax plus gas at retail for these figures, those wanting specific figures in states without Amazon sales tax make out pretty well ordering right now.

Have you found your Marvel Legends Wave 1 figures locally or ordered them online yet, Marvel fans? If so, are you aiming to pick up the entire series or just the specific figures you want the most?

  1. its already nearly scalper saturation. I’ll get my case and be patient for seconds of Thor and Iron Fist.

    • Why is everyone so quick to blame scalpers? Just because someone else got to them before you doesn’t necessarily mean it was a scalper. Tons of people are looking for these right now so I seriously doubt it’s a scalper who beat you to it. Some people have more time to put in the effort to get these so if you don’t like it, try harder. I had a guy take my picture at target because I beat him to the figures and he tells me he’s going to post my picture because I’m a scalper, pissed me off because I’m not. So stop jumping to conclusions.

      • No one beat me to it, I was confirming the details of the article. As of the time of my comment, there were more listings for items from this series either as complete or partial sets than actual individual items being sold by Amazon Inc.

I did not say that they are sold out, I’m saying that the items available for sale on Amazon from this series are all being sold at elevated prices by re-sellers.

The purpose of this blog post was to highlight the individual items being available for purchase. At the time I checked, that was no longer the case. As of THIS writing, the only seller that has Thor, Scarlet Witch, and Cap Marvel is ToysOnFire, and all at a substantial markup.

No one here is calling you a scalper, but I am once again calling you out for being a continually negative and derisive Troll. Say something nice for once.

      • Lol..! Hardy-har, har! You know, one time in ToysRus a Mom and her 8 year old beat me to a Red Hulk figure. Maybe I should have took their picture! Ha-Ha…lol, and nyuk, nyuk! 😛
“laugh to keep from crying” I always say. Unless, you’re just really, REALLY, feeling lachrymose 😉

    • The second link in the article takes you right to the page for Iron Fist. It’s the first sentence of the second last paragraph.

      • Awesome, thank you. I admit, I just skimmed the article due to my excitement of wanting to get on Amazon and add these to my wish list.

    • And like I said in the article, Scarlet Witch goes in and out of stock via Amazon themselves. They restocked her three times since Friday, so hopefully they will again soon.

  2. The reason most of us think it’s scalpers who are emptying the pegs is because when you look on sites like Amazon, the figures you find are not only marked up, but display how many they (the scalper in question) have left…which is usually more than one. YOU say “try harder”. Well that’s a bit difficult to do when one has to work (you know, earn the very money that would be used to purchase the figures if they were available by the time one gets off work), and these lazy clowns (lazy because they won’t go out and get a business license, go through a legitimate middle man and sell the items at true retail)are right there at the Targets, TRU’s, Walmarts etc at opening time. Take this for example; I know one of the Targets around where I live will be getting them in either tonight or tomorrow because that’s when they receive deliveries. I’ll go check tonight, but if the truck didn’t get there, then that means it’s coming in the morning. I don’t get off until 4:30 pm. I’m quite sure Thor and Iron Fist (the only 2 I want since I have a couple cases via BBTS coming) will NOT be there since I’m also sure that these two are going to be the hot items because people like myself want to build both BAF’s. Now do yo disagree? Oh and before anyone asks; I get one case to store in their boxes and one case to display.

    • Sometimes i also buy 2 sets of figures , one to display, one packed away…
It’s more than difficult to find what you want when your at work 11 hrs a day.
By the time I get to a store, everything I’m looking for is long gone. If by chance I find this wave, I’m buying all of them . Even though I don’t need to

    • you have to be kidding right?

why would a scalper go to targets and buy them for $22 after tax… and then post them on amazon? for like… what 45? after shipping and fees and gas…they what… make 10-15 bucks?

and thats only on 1 or 2 figures per case that are sought after…

and you’re saying they’re lazy clowns based on that?

everyone keeps saying “hasbro needs to stop making kiddie toys and make stuff for collectors!!”

and then now that hella collectors wanna, ya know, collect them, people keep crying that they cant get a hold of something that everyone wants.

if scalping was that prevalent in my area… the SF bay area… im sure i would see several craigslist postings of people trying to flip the figures in person so they dont have to ship it or pay fees… or even still, at least attempt a craigslist ad for more visibility…

but this past year i rarely saw any ads, if any!!!, for agent venom…. black widow… aim soldiers…

however…as a side note… i DO NOT FUCK WITH THIS SPECIFIC TOYSRUS in my area…because every time i go…. there’s like… 3-4 cases worth of shit out… but all the “sought after figs” were gone…. and this was at 10am right when they opened..

so im sure one of the workers already bought them before the store opened….and pleaded with the store manager to order hella cases at a time… or maybe thats just how it happened to work out…

but yeah. not hating on the worker…but he obviously had a distinct advantage over me or anyone else where it wasnt worth it to even go there anymore.

    • Aye,tis true. It is illogical to deny the facts. Scalpers are here and there, everywhere. Like taxes, unpleasant weather and gridlock. Life lessons have taught me to use the weapon of patience, kindness and positive logic. If it is meant to be,nobody or nothing can prevent me from having what is for me to have-Imho. I used to line up in the morning at the stores toe-to-toe with other collectors, moms, dads, kids and scalpers..lol, and while it might be mildly frustrating to see a guy walk out of ToysRus with a stack of Black Widows or Deadpools, it’s just the game or the thrill of the chase that makes it fun and all worth it when victory is yours. I can’t get out early much any more because of family obligations. Thank goodness for online retail. I preordered, but got the chance to get out Thursday morning to ToysRus almost an hour past opening, and scored the 7 figures leaving the spare Hawkeye on the pegs.-to paraphrase Ice Cube, “Not a scalper in sight!” Lol. I was actually looking for the MARVEL Legends Agents of SHIELD pack. Tru is a necessary evil-imo. Good thing I had a rewards coupon. When a friend of mine worked there he told his managers, who were oblivious to the scalpers, they should limit their quantities sold to two per customer, but the manager didn’t see it that way. The store is just about profit, and not mortality police. I get that, but i see my friends point as well. Apple limits iPhone purchases,I said to him.
As for these Avengers, I was on the fence fiscally about purchasing them, and if it takes longer to get them all that doesn’t concern me. 2014 showed me that if one waits good things come(I saw 3Carnage,4Widows,5Toxin, 2 agent Venoms and 4Novas just THIS week in Feb 2015 alone!
That’s after all the holiday sales and craziness. First quarter last year none of us could not find ANY of the hot figures! LOL =-O
Now like you I want duplicates, but of Wanda, Carol and Robert for customs not carded display. Since this is a non exclusive these will be everywhere soon enough. Time will tell. I have no choice. I’m not going anywhere, might as well be patient. I didn’t get all my X-men, but that’s on Hasbro/Previews,ToysRus,scalpers and me last-rotfl! They made those in very, very limited extremely low numbers! Why short pack Storm&Magnus and make a multitude of the others? Not logical. My network didn’t even see them.(my fellow collectors and toy store employees)
What do you think of online retailers that have “legitimate business” and mark the items up 100%?
Those figures were overpriced at Toywiz, bbts, and etc…
I also have a local comic shop that is nextdoor to one of my tRu stores and they make it their business to buy tRu items and sell them for a profit upwards of 100% I started to buy an Agent Venom from them at $40(had them hold it) then found one in Walgreens with ease(so much ease that I called a friend I knew wanted one to tell him the location and he couldn’t get out until the weekend and it was still six on the shelves when he bought one!) Yeah, That’s how you do it Hasbro! I watched Ebay and noticed the scalpers couldn’t get much blood out of Venom! Walgreens.Best. Idea. Ever. Hasbro. Now repeat that with X-men.ha-ha..
Looks like they might-just with Antman, Avengers,Spidey instead 😀
My apologies to regions that don’t have a Walgreens as your millage may vary.-

  3. I ordered 3 figures (hawkeye, sentry, and iron fist) from TRU and it is coming tommorow. when i tracked the package with the tracking number, it shows its at my local post office and will ship in the morning. Yes!!

  4. Just received my order from TRU ! I ordered all 7 fig’s. Opened the single box they put them all in. 4 of the 7 have crushed packaging. Now I have to go hunting to exchange these. For nicer packaging. Since the new style gets so damaged and looks more like paper then high gloss cardboard. Hasbro has really changed my mind from collecting these after this year.
    What a Disappointment !

  5. I pre ordered my three figures (iron fist, sentry, hawkeye) from TRU and it came today at about 2:54 pm cental time. I love these. Now i have to go to TRU to get scarlet witch and thor. My brother like collecting figures so he will get captain marvel and machine man.

  6. Hey! I just noticed something, sitting here looking at my marvel 3.75″ universe Ironfist; and noticed that the Legends figure does not have a flaming fist attachment along with all the various hands. Guess I will have to use the old one from my Toybiz Iron fist.

  7. DID any of you pre ordered the marvel legends baf odin or hobgoblin figures and have received it ?

    • Where did you pre-order them from, Mar? The figures have only started to arrive in the past week, so not every retailer has gotten their shipment yet.

  8. i got the 3 figures from TRU. I pre ordered them. Now at TRU you can just ship to home in TRU now. When i pre ordered them it showed extimate ship date 2/4/15, and it came that day

  9. (To the tune of The Beastie Boys’ “Paul Revere”)
    Looking for 3 agents,/
    But ran intro 7 avengers/
As I pulled out my wallet, made a mental note to remember/ cancel your preorder from January or was it December?/
Used my coupon from rewards R us/know what’s funny? It’s10am I’ve saved some money and now I’m looking for my bus/ B-)

  10. Once again Hasbro do great job with their action figures, but I wish they can concentrate more on the african american heroes, like the winter soldier Falcon, Blade and don’t get me wrong…I know they did the Black Panther only because he wears a mask and the new Luke Cage becaues he is the leader, I know they not going to do the Powerman Luke Cage because he is the real black deal. Again I wish they can be more focus on all heroes and not the same they do every year!

    • I agree totally. I commented on an article elsewhere about the African-American super-villain Black Manta’s several action figures. here’s the post of mine I made on said web site:
I’m at my quota for Black Mantas. The dcd Alex Ross Justice one has a removable helmet, and I’m good with that one. Black or White figures, toy LLCs seem to keep the same select squad of characters circling the tower.(Cap, Superman, Ironman, Batman,Wolverine,Batgirl, blah, blah, and so on)Move on! Give other guys and gals a chance! Steel is fine, but how about Bumblebee, Rocket, Static, Icon, Nubia, Fatality, Empress, Bloodwynd, Tyroc, Thunder, Lightning, Earth 2 Hawkgirl, the new Powergirl(waiting on dcd for that one), Prez Superman? No? Did the room just go dark? Lol- I’m just saying, do something DIFFERENT, toy makers.-
As for Marvel, 1st on my action figure wish list would be the 2nd Captain Marvel;Monica Rambeau.
Also the current Ms. Marvel;Kamala Kahn.
      Then, the mighty Avengers team lead by Luke Cage;
      Blue Marvel
      Blade
Captain Marvel [Monica Rambeau]as I said already.
      Falcon
      Brother Voodoo
      Debri(new warriors)
      Rage
      Misty Knight
      Sun girl
      Power man [Victor Alvarez]
      White Tiger [Ava Ayala]
      Stature
      Bling!
      Nekra
      Frenzy

I’m actually working on customs of Bumblebee, Nubia, and Monica Marvel.
It frustrates me that Black Panther is never made as an unmasked figure like Tony Stark, Capt America, Spiderman or DareDevil,so I am making my own.
      😀
