Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man Wave 1 Available on Amazon!

2015 is a spectacular year for Hasbro Marvel Legends collectors, with more new 6″ figures announced for release than any year since Hasbro revived Marvel Legends. The Avengers Marvel Legends Odin Series has been a smash hit, and the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 Hobgoblin wave has now begun trickling into stores. But if you’re worried about not finding the four one-per-case figures locally, fear no more–Marvel Legends Daredevil, Spider-Man 2099 and friends are all now available online with free shipping!

Marvel Legends Spider-Girl Figure Packaged

I already pre-ordered a case of Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2015 Wave 1 (which I’ll begin reviewing next week, by the way), but I really wanted extras for my favorite characters in the series (who happen to be some of my favorite characters in the entire Spider-Verse): Spider-Girl, Spider-Man 2099 and Daredevil.

I wasn’t looking forward to hunting for extras of these one-per-case figures at retail (which is rather brutal in the big city where I live), so I’ve had my eyes open for Amazon posting listings for the series. And lo and behold, several nice readers wrote in and let me know pre-orders went up last night!

Marvel Legends Daredevil Figure PackagedAt first I couldn’t find all six figures on the site, as only Marvel Legends Spider-Woman and Daredevil were turning up in the “Toys & Games” category. But for whatever reason, the four remaining figures (Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Girl, Anti-Venom and Spider-Man himself) have been dropped into the “Everything Else” category. Go figure (no pun intended)!

All six figures in the series–including the shortpacked figures–are priced at $21.99 and eligible for free shipping. With the MSRP being $19.99, that works out to be a pretty fair price (particularly for those in states where Amazon doesn’t charge sales tax). There’s no official street date on these figures, so Amazon will ship them out as soon as they get them (which should be well ahead of their currently posted mid-March ship date).

2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2099 Figures PackagedThe Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2015 Wave 1 figures are now available for order. If this series is anything like the 2015 Marvel Legends Avengers Wave 1, though, it’s very likely that the “hot” figures like Marvel Legends Spider-Girl and Daredevil will sell out quickly and then only be available from third-party sellers scalping them, so jump on your orders soon if you want these.

For those who opted not to purchase a case, which figures (if any) are you getting from the Marvel Legends Hobgoblin BAF series? Anyone (besides me) buy extras of their favorites?

  1. I’m still tripping on the release schedule. I received my 2 cases a couple weeks ago. I’m thinking it has something to do with the revising the case ratios. They were doing 2 Spider-Man & 2 Anti-Venom (which is what I received). Now they’re doing 2 Spider-Man (still) and 2 Spider-Man 2099.

  2. I pre ordered as as a precaution in case I can’t track them down like I did Odin at ToysRus. Even though I’m paying tax,I forgot Amazon set up camp in my town.

      • There are several on-line toy stores [such as Big Bad Toy Store] and they sell figures both by the case and individually. You can usually preordered them. They do however, cost a bit more than retail in most of the stores…especially when you factor in shipping. Some stores offer free shipping if you spend a certain amount.

        • i may just order a set this time for the thanos wave cuz i for sure am gonna keep all of the figures… except batroc and hellcat… but im pretty sure i can just sell hellcat pretty easily.

amazon did me well with the guardians set… but…. i do enjoy the hunt of going to my target often… as it seems im like the only one whos in the toy section every time i go…and am usually the first to hit the cases

      • Hey,also there is a link to Amazon on this page for the Spiderman Legends. Like I posted,if Amazon has a warehouse in your city/state that means you will be charged tax. I didn’t have to previously and when the charge popped up on my preoOrder page, aw! That’s right! The news said they were coming here for months! Now I am left with bbts, dorkside toys, entertainmentearth, toywiz, and others. Happy collecting!

  3. Dabid. Excuse me,sir. I don’t understand why you need duplicates of your favorites. Why is that? It seems moot with the new window box packaging.
I get the idea with comics and bubble carded figures. Once open those are done, but the boxes, dude. Not so much.

    • Good question, G.L.! I’m fussy (re: OCD), so I like to get an extra of my favorite characters in case I end up with one with bad paint, or to have as a spare if the joints on the first one get too loose from being posed and reposed.

      Yeah, I’m crazy.

      • Then it’s contagious! I STILL get 2 of each [and in the case of the Allfather wave, 3 of Hawkeye, Iron Fist and Thor]. 1 to Store, and 1 to display.

        • Wow. I can’t afford to do all that. Well, not with the other things I also buy. I don’t feel so bad now about buying every Marvel figure in two scales(3.75″MU and 6″ML) when you say “display” is that displayed carded or loose?
I used to display variants carded and standard figures loose in the display.

      • Cool. As a nice lady red shirt@Tgt once said to me when I exchanged a toy for one with a better paint app, “you’re ok. That’s is just called being a good collector.” You know there are methods for tightening joints and not to mess up your system,I am wondering what happens if you get bad paint apps on both figures? It happens. I had to look through several of those Target sets to get a decent paint on the Warbird figure.
(And I still had to shave extra platsic off her chin with a x-acto and eraser.)plastic surgery-haaha-nyuk-lol

    • Does Daredevil hang out with his New Avengers buddies, or does he brood in the shadows with his Marvel Knights brethren? Does he just get his own shelf fighting back to back with Elektra against hordes of Hand Ninjas (if so, can I have your stuff when you die? you’re loaded) or does he just get stuck on the shelf of cool lookin’ dudes?

Luckily, Daredevil isn’t much of a team player, so three or so figures over the last thirteen years isn’t bad. Wolverine, with his ability to appear simultaneously in dozens of titles and more teams than the Watcher can keep track of, needs the repeated iterations of costume changes and snickt-n-slash action to keep our shelves consistent and 616 accurate.

I currently have 4 iterations of the Avengers on display, each with a Cap, Thor, and Iron Man at the least. Some people think that it is annoying or wasteful to keep remaking those core heroes, but honestly, I use them all. For Daredevil, who really only has one modern costume and is rarely released, duplicates are useful.

      • My DD and Elektra run the Hand Ninja Clan. The Marvel Knights are Avengers. Wolverine IS everywhere. Movie heroes stand back to back or shoulder to shoulder with their comic counterparts. When I get BuckyCap body DD he will hang out with his BuckyCap base body mates Black Panther,Baron Zemo,Cyclops etc.
I also have several permutations of the Avengers. Smallest to largest: Minimates, the new AOU2.5″Avengers,Marvel Figurines,MU3.75″, 6″Legends, 12″Icon Legends. I do not mind remakes of core figures(like Hulk,Cap and Ironman) as long as I get unique and obscure figures(like Batroc,Hellcat,MachineMan,and Misty Knight.

      • right?! i have multiple set ups. i was gonna sell off my twopack valkyrie but i just may save her for the secret avengers set up. with my moonknight war machine antman. just need a catface beast and a steve rogers……and another damn black widow lol

    • Yeah,I hear you. Now,if they would only make a Mace Windu figure so I could make an Unmasked Black Panther.

      • i’ve seen really good head swaps from this black guy in the DC comics series… he has a suit that looks like green lantern…. or some blue/white or some shit costume.

to me looks hella like t’challa (sp?_)

        • You’re talking about John Stewart. He could definitely pass for T’challa. The question is it being a Mattel figure, will the heads be compatible?

        • A bald black guy wearing blue&white costume in DC universe is most likely Black Lighting.
RUKKUS! Is right. The African-American Green Lantern character is G.L.John Stewart and I have seen his DCUC figure used for customs of T’Challa unmasked Black Panther as well as DC’s Icon and Bloodwynd. Also had a friend turn him into Nick Fury Jr./Isaiah Bradly(Capt America)

      • Uh,you name me another nonmasked Black male character with a highly popular chance of being produced, and I will use that as my template.
Meanwhile…Sam Jackson’s Windu is perfect for customs. I can sculpt and paint a HAIR style on him easily. Almost as easily as the actor himself changes his visage for his many character roles. 😉

          • Dude,I would gladly wish to be incorrect here because there is something very WRONG about me being Right about the bogus status quo.
The Textbook definition of “Glaring Omission”.
            That is what this is.
The representation for Black female figures is almost non exsistent. So,”what else is new?” Miraculously-most Marvelously- Misty Knight is new. 😀 Woohoo!

  4. Snagged a case just off the truck at Target 30 minutes before close…BUT the case was packed with 2 Spider-Girls and no Spider-Woman, so I guess my hunt is not complete.

    • Moving to the boonies has it’s advantages. A case that was stocked overnight at a different store was untouched all day until I got there an hour before closing. Wave complete!
