San Diego Comic-Con 2016 is fast approaching, and while Hot Toys doesn’t bring any exclusives with them to the show, their Summer Toy Fairs Exclusives are always available for order prior to it. And as has been the case for the last few years, this year’s limited exclusive will be an Iron Man 3 House Party Protocol armor–and this time, it’s my favorite remaining armor: the exclusive Hot Toys Disco Iron Man figure is now up for order!

At one time, I was absolutely certain that Hot Toys was going to produce the entire Iron Man House Party Protocol (HPP) of armors including all 35 new armors that debuted in the Iron Man 3 movie. But as time has passed  and sales of those armors have dropped, I’ve started to worry that some of my favorites may not ultimately be done.

And while the two remaining unique armors–Hammerhead and Nightclub–still need to be tooled, I won’t have to worry about one of my faves any longer: the beautifully garish Iron Man Disco Hot Toys figure is now on the way!

Like the majority of the remaining HPP armors, Disco is a frankenstein suit made up of recolored versions of a hodgepodge of parts from other suits. Disco Iron Man is made up of a repainted War Machine helmet, with a Mark VII body and Shotgun Iron Man arms and lower legs (like I said–Frankenstein!).

The Iron Man Mark XXVII Disco Suit is the “Chameleon Suit”, although we don’t see the Mark 27 doing any blending into its environment (or anything else, really) in the Iron Man 3 movie. Even so, I love this suit dearly for rocking one of my favorite color schemes in gorgeous metallic paints.

Hey, is that the Jack Iron Man armor in the background (rhetoric question: I know it is)?! Sneaky, sneaky, Hot Toys! I guess we know what armor is likely to be popping up next (and probably be on display at SDCC 2016 in two weeks)…

While this certainly isn’t the most significant HPP suit, Disco Iron Man certainly has one of the craziest and most unique color schemes with its wacky blue and orange paint, which has earned it the love of many fans (including myself).

The Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 27 sixth scale figure will come with the usual features and accessories: LED light-up eyes, Arc reactor and palms; a figure stand with flight pole and interchangeable hands.

The Hot Toys Toy Fair Exclusive Disco Iron Man should be up for order this week exclusively on the Sideshow Collectibles website. The more popular exclusive House Party Protocol armors have sold out in hours, and I expect Disco to be far more desirable than poor Tank Iron Man, so I’ll be placing my order as soon as Disco goes up for sale.
