Though full details and photos have leaked out of virtually every single LEGO 2014 winter set, LEGO has been extra-stingy with information and images of their 2014 LEGO Marvel offerings. I’ve got some confidential-stamped images (that I can’t post, for obvious reasons), but otherwise LEGO has managed to keep their LEGO Marvel 2014 intel very close to their vest.

Luckily, a few minifigures have snuck out, and those I actually can share: the LEGO Marvel Mary Jane & Power Man minifigures!

LEGO has done a commendable job keeping their sets for next year under wraps up until now, but as we approach the new year leaks were bound to be sprung–and one such leak occurred this weekend, when the Canadian Walmart website accidentally posted the first hi-res images of one of the LEGO Marvel 2014 sets. LEGO Marvel fans were dumbfounded when the trio of LEGO Iron Man 3 sets were revealed. The major shocker wasn’t even that two of the three Iron Man LEGO sets didn’t occur in the movie at all (Iron Man vs. The Mandarin in a giant tank?! What exactly did Marvel tell LEGO was going to happen in this movie!?). No, what stunned LEGO Marvel collectors was that there wasn’t a LEGO Iron Patriot minifigure included in any of the sets! If you’re like me and buy a gadjillion toys every month, you probably begrudge LEGO for consistently releasing a lot of expensive sets. It used to just be LEGO Star Wars that wanted a piece of my wallet, but LEGO moved in for the kill with last year’s LEGO Avengers and this year’s LEGO Iron Man 3 lines. Just when I thought we had seen every single one of the 2013 Marvel SDCC Exclusives, a few more sure-to-be-coveted figures have made themselves known!
