Toy Fair: Marvel Legends X-Men & Deadpool Movie Figures Revealed!

While there were a “few” leaks prior to New York Toy Fair 2020 that threw a monkey wrench into some of Hasbro’s big announcements at the show, Hasbro was still able to surprise fans with a multitude of totally unexpected reveals—including new releases for movies fans haven’t seen toys for in close to two decades! Going up for order later this year, it’s Marvel Legends X-Men and Deadpool figures based on the FOX movies! Professor X, Wolverine, Mystique, Magneto, Cable and more! And did someone say: “pinless joints”?!

New York Toy Fair 2020 Marvel Legends X-Men Deadpool Movie Figures Revealed

While I feared spoilers and leaks were going to ruin the Hasbro Marvel Legends Presentation at NY Toy Fair 2020 this week, I couldn’t have been more wrong! Yeah, a half-dozen or so figures were revealed before the event could start—but Hasbro had so much more lined up for us!

And two of the absolute biggest surprises were the arrival of FOX X-Men & Deadpool movie figures and the advent of pinless technology for Marvel Legends figure joints! And hey, what better place to debut those joints than on those FOX movie figures, right…?

Nine figures were announced for the Deadpool and X-Men Movie Legends, but they’re such huge, revelatory figures that it feels like much more. I ordinarily loathe making videos (because I am bad at them), but I shot some quick footage of these at Toy Fair that you can see above.

Hasbro Toy Fair 2020 Mystique Marvel Legends Movie Figure

We haven’t seen a movie Mystique figure in many years, so seeing a Jennifer Lawrence Mystique up to modern standards is pretty sweet! Diamond Select Toys revealed a Marvel Select Mystique at C2E2 a few years back, but ultimately couldn’t get approval and had to scrap it. Luckily, Raven won’t suffer that fate this time!

Marvel Legends 2020 Toy Fair Professor Charles Xavier Figure

Hasbro has a double-dose of goodness for Magneto and Professor X fans, as they’ll be releasing Charles Xavier and Magneto with both modern and classic heads! That’s right: if you love Patrick Stewart Professor X, here he is. Prefer James McAvoy? He’s here too!

2020 Toy Fair Marvel Legends Magneto Movie Figure

If you’re on #TeamFassbender, Hasbro has a Michael Fassbender portrait lined up just for you! And for the legions of Ian McKellenfans, you’re also covered.

Toy Fair 2020 Patrick Stewart Ian McKellen Marvel Legends Heads

I love both eras of Magneto and Professor X actors, so I’m pretty tickled about these interchangeable heads. It doesn’t happen often, but I’ll be double-dipping for these action figures!

Marvel Legends 2020 Wolverine Movie Figure Hasbro

On the Wolverine front, we’re getting Hugh Jackman Wolverine in his “cowboy” jacket, as well as in his iconic white wifebeater tanktop.

Amazon Exclusive Tanktop Wolverine Hugh Jackman Legends Figure

The tanktop Logan is an Amazon exclusive that’s up for order already, while we’ll have to wait a while for the other version to go up for sale.

Toy Fair 2020 Hasbro Hugh Jackman Wolverine Figure Close-Up

The Hugh Jackman likeness on these action figures is incredible—it almost makes it worth the long, long wait for updated Marvel Legends figures of him as Wolverine!

New York Toy Fair 2020 Hasbro Marvel Legends Deadpool 2 Figures

On the Deadpool front, there’s a quartet of figures from Deadpool 2 shown. I wonder if we might see Colossus and Juggernaut at SDCC 2020 to round out the movie’s cast?

Marvel Legends 2020 Toy Fair Deadpool Movie Figure

This is the Deadpool movie figure that collectors have been crying out for for so long. The proportions and textures are all dead-on—this Marvel Legends Deadpool movie figure has serious Figure of the Year potential, in my opinion.

Marvel Legends Negasonic Teenage Warhead Figure

I’m not the biggest Negasonic Teenage Warhead fan (she doesn’t do a whole lot in the movie), but it is really cool to get an action figure of what is as close to a FOX movie original character as we’ll ever see. The toy looks great.

Toy Fair 2020 Domino Movie Figure Deadpool 2 Hasbro

The Marvel Legends Domino movie figure is a winner as well. She was my surprise favorite character in Deadpool 2, and I think it’s a real crime she never got legit merch from the movie.

Marvel Legends Movie Cable Figure Close-Up

And of course, the other headliner from Deadpool 2 rounds out the reveals: a movie Cable Legends figure. It’ll be super weird having Josh Brolin Cable standing bear Josh Brolin Thanos on my shelf, but Hasbro did another bang-up job with this.

Toy Fair 2020 Marvel Legends X-Men Movie Mystique Magneto Professor X Figures

The Amazon Exclusive Wolverine movie figure is already available for order (and likely selling out fast), but it’s likely to be several months before we see the rest of these Hasbro figures go up for sale. Stay tuned to the site and the Marvel Toy News Facebook/Twitter/Instagram pages—I’ll post updates as soon as more information is available on when and where we’ll be getting these long-requested FOX X-Men movie toys.

Now that Hasbro has dropped the mega-ton by revealing these X-Men movie figures, what do you think, Marvel collectors? Are you still excited about owning toys from these movies years after the fact, or is Hasbro’s effort just too late to capture your dollars?

Toy Fair: Marvel Legends X-Men & Deadpool Movie Figures Revealed! — 20 Comments

  1. They all look great. Only complaint is I would’ve preferred Logan and X-23 over anything from X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

  2. Magneto and Prof X with interchangeable heads are sure purchases for me. Domino is a maybe. Everything else is a pass.

  3. Are we sure that’s J. Lawrence and not R. Romijn Mystique?
Also, can we stick to ‘tanktop’ vs. ‘wifebeater’, now and forever?

    • That is not Jennifer Lawrence mystique its R Romjin Mystique. Lawrence doesnt have cheek bones like a model and plus these figures are from X2 unless it comes with a J Lawrence extra head.

  4. I’ll definitely get Domino, probably get a Logan (i think i like the tank top version better). I will probably grab either of the 2-packs if/when they get marked down/discounted, with preference for the Deadpool one since he at least has another movie coming in all likelihood. Might get Cable, not much interest in Mystique.

  5. Sure its not too late for the trio of DeadPool, Domino & Cable.

You said Wolverine is selling fast on Amazon – they have it listed as “#1 Best Seller in Pre-Kindergarten Toys”!! Box lists 14+ – Amazon shows its fine for pre-K. Yea, that’s the way to teach the kids to play with sharp objects at a young age. They even get 2 sets of claws to jab around with. World it tough – kids need to be tougher ^_~

  6. Domino looks great. I’ll probably wait for the cowboy jacket version of Logan because I like the alternate head on that one better. I’d get the prof X just for the wheelchair. I like it better than the high tech floating one we got on the previous version. Like others are saying, I’m just feeling weird about these being released at all though. A year or two too late? Or is it now time because Marvel owns the rights and don’t mind trying to rake in some cash from these movie versions? Also, it would be cool if you could remove the Josh Brolin Cable head and put in on a Thanos figure. Mix and match your Brolins.

  7. x-men Quicksilver anyone? that was a missed oportunity, i hope they release him later on, also im pretty sure thats R. Romijn Mystique based on the amount of scales on her face alone (J Law never had that many not even for DOFP) i want her Deadpool & Domino

  8. These all look great. I’ll probably end up getting all of them, except the Logan with a jacket.

I wonder if, depending on how well the film does, we’ll get New Mutants figures?

  9. Gonna be a hard pass from me. Glad they at least had one set of figures on display that will give my bank account a rest this year.

  10. Don’t know about any of these figures specifically (I almost always go comics-based when it comes to Marvel Legends), but I do wonder which characters we could get in the future–Halle Berry!Storm, perhaps?

  11. These are all great figures. Some have been waiting for a better version than we got when the Movies came out. I was surprise at how few Legends figures they showed at Toy fair this year.

  12. I’ve seen a few places a NIMROD wave with the Giant Size Storm was revealed at Toy Fair too!… But can’t find anything solid on it… is that real???

    • It’s not a wave—Nimrod is a deluxe oversized figure for later this year. I posted pics on the MTN social media pages. Hasbro won’t confirm how Nimrod will be released, but he’s not a Build A Figure.

  13. Really hoping they continue with figures for Jean Grey, Cyclops, Rogue, Storm, Nightcrawler and Iceman – based on their appearance in the first two movies, of course!

    • To me, Rogue and Lady Death Strike are necessary! I loved Mystique (Rebecca Rominj – of course)”
