Hasbro is going all-in with the Age of Apocalypse Marvel Legends X-Men 2020 series, which will be composed entirely of AoA versions of characters from the all-time classic comic book storyline. But those planning to dive in and be completists may (or may not) need to pick up one of this year’s already-released figures, who happens to be a key AoA character discounted to 11 bucks today only: Marvel Legends Blink! But is this really the Blink Age of Apocalypse fans have been waiting for…?

Yesterday I talked about an immense, hugely priced Marvel statue coming next year–the Iron Studios Sentinel. But today I’m posting my review of another monster of size, price and presence who’s finally arrived at my place! Despite the expense, the Sideshow Juggernaut Exclusive statue is already long sold out, and the regular edition 1:4 Juggernaut maquette is likely to sell out quickly as well! Now that I’ve got him in-hand for a review and photos, was this behemoth worth the insane 1400+ smackers I paid for him…?

But this year’s true main event for many X-Men fans is a figure that’s been hotly demanded for TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS. I had legit half given-up on ever completing the Animated/Jim Lee roster in 6” form, but a 90s X-Men Marvel Legends Jubilee figure finally went up for sale this year! After over two and a half decades of waiting, is this the definitive Jubilee action figure?

While I was hyped when word leaked out he was in the works, I was mortified when I realized what his body mold choice was going to be. Now that the Marvel Legends Doppelganger Spider-Man is readily available online, I finally got up the courage to spend some time with him and render judgment in my review…
Continue Reading →It’s hard to believe it’s only been a few years since the return of X-Men Legends, but already we’ve seen a vast spectrum of Wolverine variants released including First Appearance, Brown Costume, Jim Lee, Weapon X, Old Man Logan, Days of Future Past, Cowboy and more! Luckily, Wolverine has made thousands of comic book appearances for Hasbro to draw on for inspiration, and they’ve come up with a crazy iteration for their newest figure: Marvel Legends Vintage X-Men Wolverine is one of the more obscure versions ever put up for sale–but to my great surprise, I might be in love with this variant I never asked for…
Continue Reading →The consequence of getting an explosive number of Marvel Legends reveals at the major conventions each year is that we tend to fall into news droughts between shows. And so, with a month to go until NYCC 2019, there’s not much fresh news to talk about—but there’s still plenty of new figures to review! Marvel Legends Silver Samurai from the X-Men Vintage Series is readily available online despite being a top request of collectors for years—but is any part of that the figure’s fault…?
Continue Reading →Even though Hasbro has released quite a few super-articulated figures of Cyclops over the past few years (with costumes spanning the Silver Age to Jim Lee to Marvel NOW), there’s always a big demand for versions of the most iconic leader of the X-Men. So I was rather surprised today to see that the Vintage X-Men Legends Cyclops figure is both readily available and discounted to 15 bucks shipped online. Deciding this warranted investigation, I chose this Marvel Legends Cyclops as the subject of today’s review…
Continue Reading →As unlikely as it may be, the final member of the Jim Lee X-Men Marvel Legends figures lineup that Hasbro needed to create wasn’t one of the more obscure characters like Jubilee or Bishop—it was actually among the most popular and iconic: Storm! But at long last, the Vintage X-Men Marvel Legends Storm figure is shipping out from online retailers and quickly selling out on store shelves—but is this the definitive Ororo Monroe for the ages we’ve all been waiting for?
Continue Reading →It’s been a relatively uneventful week thus far for Marvel toy news, but that’s well and good with me since I’ve got a mighty stack of new Marvel Legends figure reviews to catch up on! And after looking at the headliner of the X-Force series (Nightcrawler) last time, it’s time to turn attention to the other most-hyped figure in the Wendigo Series! We last saw him in the Toybiz Sentinel series 14 years ago—has Hasbro’s recently-released Marvel Legends Mr. Sinister figure managed to improve upon Toybiz’s original version…?
Continue Reading →Although he’s universally-loved and in the upper-echelon X-Men popularity with fans, we haven’t gotten an official Marvel Legends Nightcrawler figure since the Toybiz Galactus wave in 2005. Wild! That was a terrific figure that stands the test of time, but Hasbro was finally ready to release their own Kurt Wagner this year! Despite being two per case, this Nightcrawler figure is selling out rapidly in stores and online! Is X-Force Marvel Legends Nightcrawler as good as the hype would have you believe?

After having the portrait changed from the original one show prior to SDCC 2018, fans cried foul when the final production head on the new Sideshow Psylocke Premium Format Figure statue turned out looking a lot… different… than anyone was expecting! I needed a 1/4 Psylocke in my life, so I went ahead and bought the Premium Format Psylocke Statue before it went to Wait List despite having some trepidations about the head. Did I make a $600 mistake? Here’s my review…

And to the surprise of no one, that day has arrived and the not-so-mythical monster can now be assembled! You can build your own Marvel Legends Wendigo by buying all the figures in the X-Force Legends Series—but should you?
Continue Reading →Batted down the hatches, because San Diego Comic Con 2019–and the onslaught of new Marvel toys revealed there each year—are now just days away! But aside from a plethora of new action figures being announced, Hasbro also has three exclusive Marvel figures for the show. The SDCC 2019 Exclusive Marvel Legends Vintage Hulk figure is already pre-selling for $70-$80 on the aftermarket, but is he worth that inflation? Well, Hasbro sent over an early sample for me to review, so let’s bust this monster open and find out…
Continue Reading →Hasbro has been on a roll this year revisiting fan-favorite characters that haven’t been done since the Toybiz days, and that trend continues with today’s review. Marvel Legends Hydro-Man seemed like a shoe-in to be a quick sellout online with his unique design and appearance in Spider-Man Far From Home, but he’s stuck around longer at MSRP longer than I would have predicted. Are people overlooking a hidden gem with this Hydro-Man Legends figure, or has Hasbro misfired with this release?
Continue Reading →Hasbro has been pretty on-the-ball with giving collectors pretty much every major Marvel Studios villain in 6” Marvel Legends form (sorry Malekith and Kaecillius—you don’t rate), so it wasn’t a big plot twist when they revealed we’d be getting a movie-based Marvel Legends Mysterio figure from Spider-Man Far From Home as well. Packed at just one-per-case, the new 2019 Marvel Legends Mysterio figure is already sold out on Amazon, still available for pre-order from other online retailers and likely to be a tough grab at retail. Is he worth all the fuss?
