It’s been a pretty expensive last few weeks for Marvel Hot Toys and Marvel Legends collectors, but luckily, Disney has lined up some cute, small and (most importantly) inexpensive toys to kick off the Captain America: Civil War month merchandising festivities. Coming our way on the first (Tsum Tsum) Tuesday in May 2016: Disney Tsum Tsum Avengers Series 2, including Black Panther, Ant-Man, Vision, Falcon and more!

UPDATE 5/3/2016: The second series of Tsum Tsum Avengers Plush Toys are now available for order, but it looks like the rumors are true–the Winter Soldier Tsum is not available in the U.S.! Could Tsum Tsum Winter Soldier be a subscription box exclusive for those of us in the United States…? I’ve got a bad feeling about this…

It’s pretty surreal that we’re just over two weeks away from the Captain America Civil War movie finally hitting theaters (after what seems like an eternity between Marvel Cinematic Universe movies), but what would be a whole lot more surreal is if Disney wasn’t going to capitalize on the film with one of their hottest lines.

But have no fear–this is Disney we’re talking about, and there’s no way they’d miss the opportunity to cash in by launching the Disney Tsum Tsum Marvel Avengers Series 2 plush toys just days before Civil War!

The Tsum Tsum Avengers Series 2 assortment will contain seven all-new characters not previously released as Tsum Tsums in any size:

• Hawkeye
• Ant-Man
• The Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes
• Vision
• Black Panther
• War Machine
• The Falcon

While the plushies are being obviously being released to capitalize on Civil War hype (as all of the characters are members of #TeamCap or #TeamStark), note that the designs are based off comic/animated versions of the characters and not the movie looks. No actor likeness approvals needed here!

Many fans complained when Disney didn’t include Hawkeye with the rest of the “Core Six” movie Avengers when they released Disney Marvel Tsum Tsums Series 1 last fall, opting for Spider-Man alongside Black Widow, Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor instead of Hawkeye. But all will soon be right within the Tsum Tsum world of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, as the Hawkeye Tsum Tsum finally arrives in under two weeks.

With the exception of the Black Panther Tsum Tsum–whose design looks really terrible to me the way that it’s been executed–I think Disney has done a solid job of translating these comic designs into super-deformed mini plush. The Ant-Man Tsum Tsum isn’t the cutest either, but I feel like it’s at least more accurate than Black Panther is.

Meanwhile, the Falcon Tsum Tsum is probably my favorite of this batch, as the way his wings stick off his rotund body pulls at my cuteness-loving strings. Winter Soldier’s mask is pretty darling as well! Vision’s capes and War Machine’s laser pointer-like eyes are also winners, in my opinion.

The Marvel Avengers Series 2 Tsum Tsum plush will be released online and at the Disney Stores on Tsum Tsum Tuesday, May 3, 2016. It’s really unpredictable which Tsum Tsums will be sold out in hours forever and which will linger in stores, so I recommend just picking these up on release day if you want them to avoid hunting them down later on.
