Funko brings out a multitude of Marvel POP! Vinyls figures for virtually every single Marvel movie that hits theaters, so it was only a matter of time and patience until we saw Funko’s offerings for the next major Marvel film! I thought perhaps Funko was saving their Captain America: The Winter Soldier POP Vinyls to debut at the New York Toy Fair 2014 next month, but that was not to be! Instead, the quartet of Winter Soldier figures are up for order today, including the first-ever Funko Black Widow and not one but two versions of The Winter Soldier himself!

Funko is seriously aiming for my wallet with their 2014 offerings. Along with their continuing Marvel POP Vinyls and Game of Thrones POP Vinyls lines, they’re bringing out the awesome Marvel Mystery Minis Series 1 figures I talked about the other day, along with Game of Thrones Mystery Minis and even Buffy the Vampire Slayer POP Vinyls and action figures!

I’m not always in love with the Marvel Funko POP! Vinyls figures, but I am fairly pleased with this upcoming batch of Captain America The Winter Soldier Funko POP! Vinyls.

First off, Funko is finally relenting and giving collectors the Funko Black Widow POP Vinyl that fans have been demanding! This is definitely Scarlet Johansson like we’ve never seen her before–Poor Scarlet Johansson probably had no idea what she was signing up for when she agreed to be Black Widow! I love the dual-wielding pose on Black Widow, and her head is just perfect–she looks deadly, yet darling! Now all we need is a Funko Hawkeye to complete the Avengers POP Vinyls!

The least-exciting of the four new Captain America Winter Soldier POP Vinyls figures is, of course, the new Funko Captain America movie figure. He’s a nice enough design, and I’ll be curious to see how the paint deco looks on the finished product, but a new Captain America really can’t compare to the all-new characters that make up the rest of this wave.

Lastly, we’ve got two different versions of the Funko POP Vinyls Winter Soldier figure! One Winter Soldier has his mask up and is all mysterious and stuff, while the other (and far cuter) version of the Funko Winter Soldier is unmasked, revealing The Winter Soldier’s shocking identity (which isn’t exactly shocking, mind you, since we all read the comics and know who he is, but whatever).

I wasn’t certain that you could make The Winter Soldier “cute”, but Funko has definitely pulled it off (at least as far as I’m concerned).

All four Funko Captain America The Winter Soldier POP Vinyls figures are now available for order, with an expected release date of March 2014. New Funko releases are a total pain to find in my area, so I went ahead and ordered a Black Widow and an Unmasked Winter Soldier online.
