Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man Series Revealed & Case Ratios!

While we got to see the full Avengers Marvel Legends 2015 figures series at San Diego Comic Con 2014 last July, Hasbro was only willing to give Spidey fans a teaser of what to expect from the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 figures series, showing off only half the lineup. I imagine Hasbro planned to make us wait a bit longer still for the big review, but once again news from Asia has swooped in with the scoop: the full Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man series with Daredevil has now been revealed!

Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 Series Hobgoblin Build-A-Figure Wave

Thanks to Asian toy dealer Robot Kingdom, the entire 2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man Infinite Series now stands revealed! It’s unknown at this time if there will be a revision case of the wave with additional figures, but the case makeup makes me think that it’s unlikely we’ll get any “swap” figures this year.

The Asian Marvel Legends 2015 Spider-Man Hobgoblin Build-A-Figure Wave case ratios are as follows:

(2) Marvel Legends Spider-Girl
(2) Marvel Legends Ultimate Spider-Woman
(1) Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2099
(1) Marvel Legends Anti-Venom
(1) Marvel Legends Daredevil
(1) Marvel Legends Classic Spider-Man

Marvel Legends Ultimate Spider-Woman Figure 2015 HasbroNow, I don’t know about anyone else, but this case ratio looks really funky to me. Hasbro Asia does not always have the same case configurations as we get in the United States, so I’d be astonished if we get cases over here that are half-composed of females. I’m not sure that we’ve ever seen a US Hasbro Marvel case ever where the females were heavy-packed, and I don’t believe we’ll see that happen now either.

The three new figures not shown at SDCC 2014 are the Marvel Legends Anti-Venom, Ultimate Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) and Daredevil.

2015 Marvel Legends Anti-Venom FigureConsidering that an incredible Marvel Select Anti-Venom figure already exists and the character has been defunct for years in the comics, I’m not terribly infatuated with the Marvel Legends Anti-Venom figure. He was a cheap and easy repaint of Marvel Legends Toxin, and symbiotes always sell well, but I’m just not excited for his inclusion in the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 line.

Marvel Legends 2015 Daredevil Figure Hasbro

The Ultimate Spider-Woman Marvel Legends 6″ figure, however, is definitely a good choice (in my opinion). Ultimate Jessica Drew (female clone of Peter Parker in the Ultimate Universe, believe it or not) has been prominent in the Spider-Verse crossover, and is probably the last “important” character we needed from the Ultimate Spider-Man comic-based Marvel Legends.

And finally–Marvel Legends 2015 Daredevil! For some reason Daredevil always gets shoved into Spider-Man Marvel Legends series–even way back in the ToyBiz days! This year’s 6″ Daredevil Marvel Legends figure looks pretty nice all-around and may be the best yet, although we’ll have to wait until we have him in-hand to judge for certain. That humongous billy club may need some modding, that’s for sure.

2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man 2099 FigureThe 2015 Marvel Legends Spider-Man wave should be up for pre-order very soon in the United States. The expected Asian release date of this series is January 29th, 2015. However, with the current happenings at the ports–plus Chinese New Year shipping delays–I don’t expect we’ll start to see the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 wave released in the United States until March 2015 at the absolute earliest.

Now that the whole lineup stands revealed, what do you think of the Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2015 Infinite Series, Marvel collectors? Are you excited with the characters Marvel has selected, or is this series a letdown after last year’s terrific assortment?

  1. Disappointed.

The Anti-Venom looks awful. DD looks alright but I wish he was a flat red rather than the gloss red it looks like they used(I guess I can always paint him). Tbh I was never all that hyped about Hob Goblin being the build-a-figure. 2099, comic Spidey and Spider-girl still look great. Spider-Woman looks good too but doesn’t do much for me.

I was really hoping we’d get a new Superior Spider-Man with a more accurate costume(gauntlets, mechanical backpack legs) and a good Mile Morales.

    • A good Miles Morales would be nice. I prefer him to classic Spidey if I’m honest.

  2. Classic Spider-Man comes with… Pizza? And an alternate head for, I assume, eating the pizza? That is an interesting inclusion to say the least.

    • I agree! That’s a cool new move on hasbro’s part. I’m excited for this wave.
      My top=
1-Comic SPIDEY with all interchange parts
      2-spider-girl
      3- Spider-Woman
      4- the BAF Hob Gob
      5- 2099 SPIDEY
The least is antivenom. He looks weird to me. Wish they’d throw in a Gwen SPIDEY, comic Mary Jane or the new SILK spider-woman.

  3. Where the hell are 616 Spider-Woman and Hellcat? God I hope those aren’t going to be ditched like Sentry and Hawkeye were for years.

  4. mark my words.

if the females are heavy packed, they’ll definitely be peg warmers.

the collector mindshift will change and since they’re not “omg one per case!” people arent gonna be swooping them up.

i want that hobgoblin build a figure, and daredevil and basic spiderman…

but its def not enough for me to pick up this whole wave.

  5. I think it’s a great wave. I also find it funny how whiney collectors are. They are making tons of new stuff and all everyone does is whine about this and whine about that. The fact is you are paying 20$ for a figure and getting what 20$ pays for, if you want perfection cough up 2-400 for a hot toys figure and stop complaining. Act like an adult , I guess that’s kind of ironic because it is adults who are actually playing with toys so I guess it makes since that they are going to whine about it to.

    • As long as we keep getting comic figs I’m happy, i don’t play with the toys I buy I keep them in their package, it’s a little strange to me that a grown man plays with action figures and takes pictures of them fighting and worse, bring them to work!!! Lmao.

      • You think that’s strange, I think it’s strange to spend $20 on a cardboard box with a figure inside to just stare at and not open. To each their own.

      • Do you buy comics and not read them? Do you buy Blu Rays and not watch them? Do you but food and not eat it?

I buy toys and play with them. Its fun, you should try it.

  6. Really happy to see that they’ve switched out the shoulders on Classic Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 from the SDCC previews. They were much too big. The Superior Spidey shoulders that they now have are a lot more realistic, and work a lot better than the ASM2 Spidey shoulders. Still sad not to see any boot-cut swivel on Spidey (seriously, we need it on Spidey figures!), but the darker blue colour chosen almost makes up for it.

    • I’m sure we’ll eventually get a Spider-Gwen. That character hadn’t even been created when this series went into development, but I have no doubt she’s high on Hasbro’s radar for next year.

  7. Really excited about the Daredevil figure! I was expecting to have a new figure soon and its going to happen! It looks great. Never liked the Toy Biz versions of DD.
Anti-Venom is a bit disappointed. I wil wait to see full quality images to decide if i want it or not.
Also, Spidey 2099 looks great. And both women, but i’m less interested in those characters.

Hope to see the complete Avengers Wave 2 soon! And dates, i need dates! haha

  8. Hobgoblin es exelente pero creo que no es para baf . Me gusta una nueva version de daredevil y spiderwoman … anti venom al menos es un personaje sin versiones anteriores en legends .. pero tenia esperanza en ver mas y nuevos villanos

  9. Te wave seems cool to me, I might pick it up but I was kinda hoping for a Spider-man noir figure in the wave.

  10. Daredevil’s staff looks like another reuse — the one Mockingbird had in the WCA pack, and I think Daredevil may have had the same one as well.

    • TRU Comfirmed the new marvel legends comic avenger wave release date. it is February 4th 2015
