Sideshow Collectibles has been hitting a lot of home runs lately with their ongoing series of Marvel Premium Format Figure quarter-scale statues, although a majority of their recent offerings are new visits to previously-produced characters. Last week they launched what I think is another winner, although it’s also a character they already released a fantastic statue of just a few years ago: the 2022 Sideshow Captain Marvel Premium Format Figure is now up for order!

Carol Danvers’ popularity has had its ups and downs since her live-action MCU movie came out in 2019, with some fans quickly burning out on the character due to the copious amounts of merch suddenly available for her. But one version of Captain Marvel a lot of collectors have still been asking to see in Hasbro 6” figure form is her ultimate comic-based form: Binary! Her limited release was announced last year, but after initially only being available at EBGames in Canada, while supplies last (which won’t be long if she follows the trends of Quasar and Nova),  the Walgreens Exclusive Binary figure is now up for order online domestically!

Along with the ARTFX Premier Scarlet Witch statue that’s now up for order, they also displayed the ARTFX Premier Captain Marvel and the concept art for the new version of a Black Cat Bishoujo PVC statue!

When Diamond Select Toys announced their acquisition of Gentle Giant Ltd. a few months back, it left the fates of a number of popular Gentle Giant lines open-ended. I feared for the future of my favorite ongoing series of Skottie Young-inspired mini-statues, but us Marvel Babies fans can all breathe a sigh of relief: the line is continuing, and a Marvel Animated Captain Marvel Statue with huge price reduction and edition size cut is now up for order! We’ve had toys from the movie from Hasbro, Funko and DST since last month, and now it’s time for the most high-end figure company in the world to show their hand: the Hot Toys Captain Marvel sixth scale figure is now up for order! And Hot Toys clearly knows what we like: there’s a Deluxe Version with a 1/6 Goose the Cat on the way as well!
