There were some trepidation the first series didn’t sell so well and might jeopardize the sequel, but Hasbro laid those fears to rest this past week when the Marvel Legends X-Men Age of Apocalypse Wave 2 Series went up for pre-order! With 7 single-packed figures and the first-ever AOA Colossus as the Build-A-Figure, is this wave a can’t miss for X-Men fans?

Hasbro has been teasing us with a 2021 Marvel Legends series filled with villains ever since the second half of 2020, and today they have finally put all their cards on the table and fully-revealed the wave! Teased as a “Bring on the Bad Guys” series, the official name for the wave is apparently “Marvel Legends Super Villains” (probably a more logical name!) and is now up for order! And the Build-A-Figure is one I don’t think many saw coming: the classic Marvel horror monster, Xemnu!

Hasbro has delivered time and time again with their Marvel Fan First Friday livestreams throughout 2020, and for their final one of the year, they’ve done so once again! After first teasing a House of X series of X-Men Legends way back at NYCC 2019 in October 2019, they slowly revealed the contents of the wave throughout 2020. And now, not only has the full lineup been revealed with the just-announced Tri-Sentinel Build-A-Figure, but the Marvel Legends X-Men House of X Series of figures is now up for order!

Although I reviewed all seven figures in the actual Age of Apocalypse Marvel Legends X-Men wave of 6″ figures, there was one last figure in the overall theme I was waiting on to review. And while I never managed to track one down at retail, the X-Men Legends Apocalypse Age of Apocalypse deluxe boxed figure I ordered from Amazon arrived this week. This may be the last AOA figure that we get from Hasbro for a while (but hopefully not forever)–does this world-conquering En Sabah Nur action figure disappoint?

While the original Hasbro AOA Sunfire figure used to sell for big bucks on the aftermarket, the new 2020 Marvel Legends Age of Apocalypse Sunfire is one of the few figures in the wave selling for at or above MSRP.
