I really, really miss events and conventions. Not heading to New York City for NYCC last month, not doing SDCC coverage, and knowing there won’t be a NY Toy Fair in February is a real bummer. But I have to admit—Hasbro has upped their social media game substantially, bringing us a record number of digital reveals this year! And today, we Hasbro revealed and opened pre-orders for the full Spider-Man Marvel Legends 2021 Stilt-Man series! And believe it or not, the Stilt-Man BAF isn’t the craziest thing in this wave: the Fabulous Frog-Man is legit on the way!

Although I reviewed all seven figures in the actual Age of Apocalypse Marvel Legends X-Men wave of 6″ figures, there was one last figure in the overall theme I was waiting on to review. Peter David’s X-Factor 90s run might be the first X-Men spin-off comic book series that I ever truly loved, so to say Hasbro got my attention when they started building this roster in super-articulated form would be an understatement. This is the first year in ages that I haven’t been travelling to New York City this fall to see Hasbro’s newest products in conjunction with New York Comic Con, but NYCC or no NYCC, Hasbro still has plenty of new Marvel goodness to reveal to us! Hasbro had some big announcements and reveals at their Pulse Con 2020 Marvel panel today, but the biggest of all (dimensionally-speaking, at least!) was the latest addition to their beloved 1:1 role-playing items line: the Marvel Legends Stormbreaker Life Size Replica is now up for order! Perhaps appropriately, the last figure in my series of X-Men Age of Apocalypse Marvel Legends reviews is also the one and only figure in the wave that Hasbro has previously done a 6” version of! While the original Hasbro AOA Sunfire figure used to sell for big bucks on the aftermarket, the new 2020 Marvel Legends Age of Apocalypse Sunfire is one of the few figures in the wave selling for at or above MSRP. When Hasbro announced another “Marvel Legends Fan First Friday Tuesday Edition”, my mind immediately raced to recall what figures we still hadn’t seen put up for pre-order at New York Toy Fair 2020 (which has sadly turned out to be the only major toy event of the year). Two figures remained—Venomized Miles Morales and Gwenom Spider-Gwen—so it’s no surprise those were part of the reveal: the 2020 Marvel Legends Venom Venompool Build-A-Figure Series of figures goes up for order today!
