UPDATE 12/4/2018: This box set has been so popular that I wasn’t sure at all that this kind of sale would ever actually come, but the Deal of the Day that Sentinel army-builders have been dreaming of has finally arrived–today only, the Marvel Legends Sentinel and Days of Future Past Wolverine set is 42% Off! At this kind of discount, I’ve got a hunch this may be the day this set sells out for good! If you want this set–now is the time!

And thankfully, singles are available of every figure in the M’Baku wave (including the Dora Milaje) right off the bat! Is ML 2019 off to a hot start, or are these two waves not hitting the right notes for you?
Continue Reading →While the end has come for major conventions in 2018 in the United States, it’s not quite over yet in Japan! Tokyo Comic Con 2018 is in full force this weekend, and although this isn’t a show that Hasbro attends, there are ample goodies to check out from other companies such as Hot Toys, Medicom and Kotobukiya. But the company who’s brought the most new Marvel figures to the show is Bandai Japan, who unveiled a plethora of new 6” figures, including SH Figuarts Captain Marvel, Agent Coulson, Nebula, Scarlet Witch, Loki and more!
Continue Reading →UPDATE 12/1/2018: As expected, we didn’t have to wait longer after the packaged photos hit for the POs to begin–singles and full sets of every figure in the Marvel Legends Black Panther Wave 2 M’Baku Series are now up for order!
Continue Reading →With the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie hitting theaters in just a few weeks, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing toys of Miles Morales released from a variety of manufacturers, including ones who have never done the character before. One such company is Medicom, whose MAFEX Miles Morales Spider-Man figure is now up for order! But as it so happens, this is a version we’ve never seen before from any company: full-grown adult Miles?!

If only I had the patience to wait for these sales myself… 😅
Continue Reading →While Black Friday 2018 has only just arrived, the way things are these days, most of us have already seen all of the big sales for the “event” and already placed our orders before the clock even clicked over from Thanksgiving. So rather than focusing on “deals” this Black Friday, let’s look ahead to the future! Just in time for the holidays this week, Diamond Select Toys released their April 2019 solicitations: Marvel Gallery Ebony Maw & Angela and the Legends in 3D Spider-Gwen Bust are now up for order!
Continue Reading →UPDATE 11/21/2018: Though the Marvel Legends Magik and Thing figures started appearing at some Walgreens stores almost two months ago, a lot of collectors have still been struggling to find them locally. But fear not, Illyana fans–you shan’t have to walk past the Walgreens cashier empty-handed anymore: the Exclusive Marvel Legends Magik figure is finally up for order online!
Continue Reading →When Mezco Toyz debuted their ONE:12 Collective Iron Man figure nearly two years ago, I was a little bit skeptical of if I needed a non-soft goods ONE:12 Collective figure for 90 bucks. And so, when the Mezco Iron Man Figure went up for pre-order earlier this year, I didn’t even reserve one. That said, when they announced an event exclusive Model 42 Iron Man in Marvel Puzzle Quest colors last month, I had to have it. I was lucky enough to snag one off a converted Wait List which I’ll review here: I have now drank the Kool-Aid. ONE:12 Collective Iron Man is an absolute treasure…
Continue Reading →I always try desperately to curb my spending around the holidays, but when a good deal comes up, a good deal comes up. So when Amazon temporarily mispriced the Iron Studios Rocket Raccoon & Groot BDS Statue down to 45 bucks last week, what was a GOTG fan to do besides one-click purchase them for himself, right? They caught the mistake reasonably quick and spiked the price back up now, which begs the question: is this 1:10 Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Statue worth the full MSRP?
Continue Reading →UPDATE 11/17/2018: For those who haven’t found him locally and/or missed the PO in the summer, the Gamestop Exclusive Marvel Legends PS4 Spider-Man 6″ figure is in-stock and back up online while he lasts! I’ve heard quite a few people say these have been getting bought up by their local scalpers, so online may be the way to go for those folks in scalper zones. Those who’ve got their Hasbro GamerVerse Spider-Man figure already: what do you think?
Continue Reading →With somewhere between a month and a month and a half before the 2019 Marvel Legends Black Panther M’Baku Series starts appearing, we’ve got a bit of time to wait before we’re likely to see more Hasbro ML news. But hey, it’s not a total loss, as I still have plenty of review-less 2018 figures to cover! The Venom Legends series has been almost a unilateral win across the board so far, but there’s one figure left to review: Marvel Legends Typhoid Mary is already selling for below retail price, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a solid figure…
Continue Reading →Bust collecting is dying. There’s almost no doubt about it: Whether it’s life-size busts or mini-busts, statue companies are having very hard time these days finding more than a few hundred collectors interested in any one bust. But perhaps Sideshow Collectibles has the right idea with their latest attempt, as they’re not even going to try to find hundreds. Instead, they’re going right for an edition size that’s almost unheard of for a Marvel Statue: the LE 100 (yes, 100!!) X-Force Deadpool Life Size Bust is now up for order!
Continue Reading →In this day and age where the majority of resin “high-end” statues being produced run half a grand and up, Diamond Select Toys has taken it upon themselves to produce the widest-ranging value-priced line of comic book PVC statues ever. I’ve been one of the most outspoken advocates for the Marvel Gallery statues since they debuted at New York Toy Fair 2016, but I’ve never actually reviewed one—until now. Though the 13” Marvel Gallery Infinity War Thor Statue costs under 45 bucks shipped, it ended up as one of my favorite pieces of Thor merch from the movie…
Continue Reading →Today is likely to forevermore be the saddest day in the history of Marvel, as the iconic genius Stan Lee has left us. It’s a loss we’ll all be feeling for years, but I think also an ideal time to look ahead to the future of the company that Stan Lee made a legend (and vice versa). And what better series to look at than what’s been announced for the 2019 Marvel Legends Avengers 4 Figures lineup, an assortment running the gamut of comic book characters from Stan’s early days through characters from the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe movies…
