Diamond Select Toys had a pretty substantial showing of upcoming Marvel statues at New York Toy Fair 2017, but believe it or not, we’ve already seen over a half-dozen more new pieces not shown at Toy Fair revealed and solicited just this month! The latest addition is a completely unexpected one: a 1:2 Scale Deadpool Bust! And half-scale Wade has a solicitation buddy—the Marvel Gallery Wolverine PVC Statue is also up for order!
Continue Reading →Dipping back into my bag of hi-res photos that I took at New York Toy Fair 2018 last month, today I’m taking a look at the first-ever Hasbro Marvel Legends Venom series of 6” figures! While Hasbro didn’t show the entire series at Toy Fair, they did unveil three new figures to complement the previously-revealed Venom and Carnage: Spider-Ham, Scream and a Poison! And hey—what’s this about a Monster Venom Build-A-Figure…?
Continue Reading →It’s been a predictably calm and quiet weekend for Marvel toy news, which makes this another ideal time to jump back and look at some more upcoming Marvel toys revealed last month at New York Toy Fair 2018! And once again, I’ll be revisiting the booth that I thought had the best overall showing at the event: Diamond Select Toys. We knew a Marvel Premier Collection Domino Statue was coming prior to the event, but I didn’t expect how good she would look—or that she would be displayed next to a resin Lady Deadpool Statue!

But fear not, Hot Toys fanatics—Hot Toys has heard the masses and made some changes! Eight months after first being shown, the Hot Toys Thor Ragnarok Loki sixth scale figure is now up for order—and he’s dressed in iconic green with horned helmet!

Primarily of interest to Marvel collectors, however, has to be the fact that Gentle Giant premiered not one, not two, not three, but four new Wolverine statues at the show! The Marvel Collectors Gallery Brown Costume Wolverine Statue is now up for order! Let’s take a look…
Continue Reading →I was a young teenager when the Maximum Carnage crossover came out in the early 90s–which means I thought it was pretty much the coolest thing in the world. Whether or not it would stand up as a literary masterpiece today (and I have a suspicion it might not), I loved it back then, and had the video game, Toybiz figures… the works. And so, Diamond Select Toys hit all the right nostalgic notes with me at New York Toy Fair 2018 last month, where they revealed a whole Marvel Minimates Maximum Carnage Series…
Continue Reading →It’s been a quiet week for Marvel toy news, so time to dip into my huge cache of 2018 Marvel Legends figures that still need reviews! Having reviewed the most in-demand figure of the series first (the Thanos Build-A-Figure), it seemed appropriate to go for the guaranteed shelf-warmer of the series with my second review. The Marvel Legends King Cobra figure is readily available online for MSRP—but what he lacks in star power, he makes up for in being sheerly awesome!
Continue Reading →When the Avengers Age of Ultron movie hit theaters, Hasbro had a bit of a missed opportunity with the Marvel Legends Ultron Build-A-Figure not hitting stores until months after the movie. Hasbro won’t be making the same mistake again, however, as the main Infinity War antagonist is available right out of the gate! You have to buy 6 of the 7 Marvel Legends Infinity War Wave 1 figures to build Thanos—is he worth the investment?
Continue Reading →While we’ve all been deeply immersed in the torrent of Avengers Infinity War figures for the past week, those aren’t the only new Marvel toys that have gone up for sale! Kotobukiya in particular has had a trifecta of new Marvel statues solicited, as the ARTFX+ Iron Fist and 90s Animated X-Men Beast and Cyclops statues are now up for order! Are any of these non-movie PVC figures on your radar? And hey… who’s that bald guy in the floating chair…?!
Continue Reading →The Avengers Infinity War wave of toys and collectibles has been washing over us for the past week, but one aspect of collecting for the movie I haven’t talked about yet is Infinity War statues. While most companies like Iron Studios and Kotobukiya have kept mum about any plans for Avengers 3 statues so far, Diamond Select Toys hasn’t been shy about announcing a whole lineup of statues: DST Infinity War Marvel Gallery, Premier Collection and Marvel Milestones statues are now up for order—including a huge Hulkbuster 2.0!
Continue Reading →Avengers Infinity War merch is off to a hot start following the official launch over the weekend, with initial shipments of the Infinity War Marvel Legends selling out in many areas. But now, a new player is entering the Avengers 3 game domestically: the Bandai SH Figuarts Infinity War figures are now available for order in the U.S.! As usual, most are priced a bit expensive because of license restrictions, but the price on Thanos isn’t half bad…
Continue Reading →UPDATE 3/3/2018: We’ve had to be patient, but the official launch date for the Marvel Legends Infinity War series is finally here! And for collectors who only wanted individual figures from Marvel Legends Avengers Infinity War Wave 1, the promised day has arrived: individual figures are now available online of all 7 figures in the wave for $19 each as of writing! Want your Songbird, Iron Spider, Taskmaster or Cap without getting stuck with a whole case? Now’s your time! Oh yeah, the Marvel Legends Ghost Rider and Black Widow Motorcycles? Those are online for MSRP as individuals with free shipping as well!
Continue Reading →The days when collectibles companies have to keep their Avengers Infinity War toys hidden are at an end, and Hot Toys is finally ready to obliterate our future wallets! In honor of finally being able to sell toys from the movie today, Hot Toys has not one, but two new sixth scale figures ready to go: the Hot Toys Infinity War Thor and Iron Man 1/6 figures are now up for order!
Continue Reading →Earlier this week, Hot Toys posted a teaser of six Infinity Stones-colored lights twinkling on a star background. I joked that it would be cool if it was a life-size Infinity Gauntlet prop replica that they were teasing. Well, to my astonishment… it is! With a level of downright jaw-dropping detail that rivals anything we’ve ever seen, the Hot Toys Infinity Gauntlet life-size replica is now up for order! But at the price this masterpiece costs, we’re all going to have to think long and hard about this one…
Continue Reading →It’s been an agonizing (and okay, a little bit annoying) wait, but the shoe has finally dropped today and toy companies can talk about their Avengers Infinity War movie toys at long last! And one company that certainly been waiting to show off their wares is Funko, who has over a dozen and a half new figures to reveal—and that’s just their POPs! The Funko POP Infinity War figures—including Hulkbuster Iron Man 2.0—are now up for order!
