Thought the Marvel Legends 2020 figure reveals were over until after the holidays…? Think again! Hasbro continued their world tour this weekend at the Germany Dortmund Comic-Con, where they revealed two new exclusives that cover somewhere between 2 and 6 characters depending on how you count! Not only is a Retro Storm in Black Costume 6″ figure now up for order, but Hasbro also revealed the widely-rumored Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Legends Stepford Cuckoos figure! The only question for Cuckoos fans is: how many will you need to be satisfied? One, 3 for the Three-In-One… or going all out with 5 for the Five-In-One?

The bad news this week for much of the United States was that we got blasted with the most major winter storm so far this year and had to dig ourselves out. The good news is that I finally got snow for the first time this year in my neck of the woods (16” of it, to be exact!), which meant that at long last I could take a certain X-Men Legends 6” figure for outdoor review photos! The Marvel Legends Iceman Vintage series figure is already down to 13 bucks shipped just a few months after being released, but is this Bobby Drake figure really all that bad…?

But we found out that Hasbro’s current golden age of Marvel Legends would continue to deliver dreams in a huge way this fall, and the shared exclusive Marvel Legends Havok & Polaris two-pack is now (free) shipping! Were these 6” figures of 90s X-Factor’s power couple worth waiting two decades for?
Continue Reading →Amazon caught everyone off-guard when they began charging for and shipping out their exclusive Marvel Legends Alpha Flight figures box set ahead of the original December release date. I posted my unboxing photos and first impressions of the team last week, and now I’ve had some time to play around with them and really absorb what this ML Alpha Flight set has to offer (and also what it fails to offer). For those still on the fence, is this $100+ set worth scooping up? Here’s my review…
Continue Reading →Earlier this month I talked about the singular most expensive Marvel purchase I’ve ever made: the massive Sideshow Juggernaut Maquette. But for those who aren’t loco like me and willing to drop 1.3 grand on a statue, there’s a Juggs for you too: the Diamond Select Marvel Premier Collection Juggernaut Statue is now up for order for just over 200 bucks shipped! But that’s not all—this month’s solicits have also brought us a Marvel Gallery Weapon X, Skottie Young Elektra, GOTG Minimates—and even a 1:2 bust of The Mandalorian!
Continue Reading →I’ll be filling in as many blanks as possible in my 2019 Marvel Legends reviews over the course of the next month and a half, and but today I paused that track to do an unboxing that will eventually lead to six reviews in one later this week! It was a spectacular surprise when Hasbro solicited the exclusive Marvel Legends Alpha Flight figures set in late summer, and they have now actually shipped and arrived on doorsteps a few weeks earlier than planned! How’d the set turn out? Here’s my impressions…
Continue Reading →Tick. Tick. Boom! The clock is ticking down on 2019 and time is running out for me to review as many Marvel Legends 2019 figures as I can, which makes this the ideal moment to turn to the mutant master of the time bomb herself: Boom Boom! Despite having been around for over three decades now and having been a member of the New Mutants, X-Force and more, we’ve never gotten a mass release Tabitha Smith figure—until now! Thanks to Hasbro’s commitment to giving us the classic X-Force roster, Marvel Legends Boom Boom has finally arrived—and is already discounted! Should you add this 90s styled babe to your collection…?
Continue Reading →If anyone had asked me to make a list of the top 500 characters I thought we were likely to see a Marvel Legends action figure of in 2019, Skullbuster of the Reavers would not have been on that list. He probably wouldn’t have even been in my top 1000. But he came anyway, and as expected, X-Men Marvel Legends Skullbuster is already discounted online. But being a slow seller doesn’t necessarily correlate to being a bad action figure! Is the first of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Reavers worth snagging while he’s cheap? Here’s my review…

But those planning to dive in and be completists may (or may not) need to pick up one of this year’s already-released figures, who happens to be a key AoA character discounted to 11 bucks today only: Marvel Legends Blink! But is this really the Blink Age of Apocalypse fans have been waiting for…?
Continue Reading →UPDATE 11/10/2019: Those who were patient an extra five months have been rewared: the EXCLUSIVE X-Men Marvel Legends Family Matters 3-Pack with Magneto, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch is the Deal of the Day today! At $39.99 shipped for this trio, I would say that this set is an absolute steal! Those of you who already have this set–can you recommend it to your fellow collectors at the discounted sale price? And you can check out the full list of today-only sales right here!

But today I’m posting my review of another monster of size, price and presence who’s finally arrived at my place! Despite the expense, the Sideshow Juggernaut Exclusive statue is already long sold out, and the regular edition 1:4 Juggernaut maquette is likely to sell out quickly as well! Now that I’ve got him in-hand for a review and photos, was this behemoth worth the insane 1400+ smackers I paid for him…?
Continue Reading →Hasbro kicked off the week by officially allowing orders for the Marvel Legends Grey Hulk and Retro Deadpool figures, finally making enough of both available for everyone who wants them. But now, let’s take a look at an offering from another company that few collectors will have space for—and even fewer the funds for! It’s legit one of the craziest statues I’ve ever seen in my life: the first Iron Studios X-Men vs. Sentinel statue is now up for PO! (Wait, did I say “first”…?)
Continue Reading →Another week, another pair of international conventions with major Hasbro Marvel Legends news! This weekend at the 2019 Lucca Convention and Manga Barcelona events, Hasbro made their presence felt with a whopping five more figures being revealed for the 2020 Marvel Legends X-Men Age of Apocalypse wave and an as-yet untitled (Black Widow) wave going up for order next year: Crossbones and AOA Sunfire, Jean Grey, Dark Beast and Wild Child!
Continue Reading →Sideshow disappointed some folks by only bringing a singular never-before-seen Marvel statue to New York Comic Con 2019 earlier this month–but luckily, it happened to be the singular most-requested character this year for the popular X-Men series. Even so, the leader of the X-Men got sort of a mild reception from the collecting sphere at the event. Now that the Sideshow Cyclops Premium Format Figure goes up for order this afternoon and all of the options and official photos have been posted, has this Cyke become a must-have….?
Continue Reading →While there were some quality new products revealed at New York Comic Con 2019, the quantity of fresh Marvel toys and statues that premiered at the show was a little bit lacking compared to past years. But one company that rarely lets me down is Diamond Select Toys, and they delivered once again at NYCC 2019 with over half a dozen new Marvel statues on display! And the two that caught my attention the moment I set sight on them were the Marvel Premier Collection Archangel and Juggernaut statues…
