When Hasbro revealed the hotly-anticipated X-Men Age of Apocalypse Marvel Legends Colossus Series last month, fans had to settle for checking out pretty renders of the figures, as the final finished figures weren’t ready to show off just yet. That was fine for many fans who were going to pre-order no matter what–but for those who were waiting to see final hi-res and packaged photos of the figures, the time has now come! Today, Hasbro officially unveiled the final images of the 2021 Marvel Legends X-Men AOA Wave 2 figures!

Other than a (rather awkwardly posed) Brown Costume Wolverine, Sideshow has launched zero new X-Men statues since 2019. But the drought is at an end—and appropriately enough, it’s Ororo Munroe bringing the rain! Hasbro has been teasing us with a 2021 Marvel Legends series filled with villains ever since the second half of 2020, and today they have finally put all their cards on the table and fully-revealed the wave! Teased as a “Bring on the Bad Guys” series, the official name for the wave is apparently “Marvel Legends Super Villains” (probably a more logical name!) and is now up for order! And the Build-A-Figure is one I don’t think many saw coming: the classic Marvel horror monster, Xemnu!

Although I reviewed all seven figures in the actual Age of Apocalypse Marvel Legends X-Men wave of 6″ figures, there was one last figure in the overall theme I was waiting on to review. And while I never managed to track one down at retail, the X-Men Legends Apocalypse Age of Apocalypse deluxe boxed figure I ordered from Amazon arrived this week. This may be the last AOA figure that we get from Hasbro for a while (but hopefully not forever)–does this world-conquering En Sabah Nur action figure disappoint?

Peter David’s X-Factor 90s run might be the first X-Men spin-off comic book series that I ever truly loved, so to say Hasbro got my attention when they started building this roster in super-articulated form would be an understatement. I was skeptical the team would come to fruition, but with Guido’s arrival this summer, 90s X-Factor is (more ore less) complete!
