You’ve waited for her! You’ve asked for her! And now–she is finally on the way! Since months before “Avengers: Age of Ultron” even hit theaters, fans have been demanding merchandise for the Scarlet Witch. And while it looks pretty unlikely that we’ll be getting the fan-demanded Marvel Legends Scarlet Witch movie figure this year that so many collectors want, the ultimate high-end version of Wanda Maximoff has now been fully revealed and is preparing to come our way: the MMS 298 Hot Toys Scarlet Witch figure is now up for order!

When all is said, the Scarlet Witch really hasn’t done all that bad when it comes to the number of Scarlet Witch toys released for the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. There’s a Scarlet Witch Funko POP Vinyl figure, a Minimate, a 4″ Hasbro figure and a LEGO Minifigure of Wanda. And now, she’s about to hit the big-time with her very own entry into the most high-end Marvel figure line on the market: Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece Series!

The Hot Toys MMS298 Scarlet Witch figure will stand a sixth-scale accurate 28 cm (about 11″) tall, and feature 28 points of articulation (that’s a point of articulation for every centimeter!).

I’ve heard some initial criticism of the Elizabeth Olsen portrait on this Scarlet Witch Hot Toys figure, and that is absolutely shocking to me. While it remains to be seen if the final product can possibly look as good, this is one of the best-looking and most accurate female face sculpts that I’ve ever seen Hot Toys create.

This is a dead-on likeness to how Elizabeth Olsen actually looks in the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie (as opposed to that ridiculous, Photoshopped movie poster that was released which completely distorts Olsen’s face).

As tends to be the rule with their females, the Hot Toys Wanda Maximoff figure will feature rooted hair. I know that isn’t everyone’s favorite, but in this case, the rest of this figure looks so lifelike that I feel like the rooted hair really, really works. Combined with the leather jacket and amazing head sculpt, from some angles this looks like a real-life person and not a doll!

As usual for the Hot Toys Age of Ultron line, Hot Toys is really spoiling us with awesome effects pieces as accessories for this figure. Wanda will have eight interchangeable hands, two necklaces, a pair of “hex magic” effects pieces, and her own collectible figure stand with her name on it.

I am a total mark for cool effects pieces, and Scarlet Witch’s hex effects blow me away. The translucent pink plastic that the effects have been cast in is absolutely perfect, as is the swirling shape of the effects. I also think it’s pretty awesome that Hot Toys was nice enough to give us multiple pairs of “powered-up” hands so that Wanda can look like she’s getting ready to use her magic even when she doesn’t have the effects pieces on.

And yes–as a “special bonus accessory”–the Scarlet Witch Hot Toys figure even comes with a little replica of Ultron’s heart so that she can show Ultron (and all the other toys on your shelf) her pain!

Of course, now that the Scarlet Witch has appeared, can the Hot Toys Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff) be far behind…? Hmmm….

The Hot Toys Scarlet Witch sixth scale figure will go up for order later today, and is scheduled to be released this winter. That’s right–if all goes well, we could all have Scarlet Witch in our grubby little hands by the holidays! (Wait. That didn’t sound quite right…).
